The Week 6 showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills drew excellent numbers for FOX Sports this week.

According to FOX Sports (h/t Mark Maske of The Washington Post), the Chiefs-Bills game recorded 12.2 million viewers on FOX and NFL Network.

This game was supposed to be played on Thursday Night Football last week. However, the Bills-Tennessee Titans Week 5 game was pushed back to Tuesday, Oct. 13 following several COVID-19 positive tests for the Titans.

The Bills were never going to be asked to play two games in three days, of course, so the league moved the Week 6 game back four days. And game boasted some of the best viewership numbers in the young 2020 NFL season.

This game featured two of the AFC's best teams, as well as a pair of the league's top young quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. But in the first of what will be many showdowns between the two, it was Mahomes and company who emerged victorious by a final score of 26-17.

Overall, it was a great day in NFL viewership. The Arizona Cardinals-Dallas Cowboys Monday Night Football broadcast on ESPN drew 11.317 million viewers, according to a network press release. The game peaked with a viewership of 13.3 million from 9:15 to 9:45 p.m.

It's also been an extremely busy few days for FOX Sports announcer Joe Buck. He had to call Game 6 of the NLCS on Saturday before flying to Tampa Bay for the Buccaneers' Week 6 home game against the Green Bay Packers.

A day later, Buck was in Buffalo to call the Chiefs-Bills game with broadcast partner Troy Aikman. Finally, Buck had to go to Arlington to begin calling the 2020 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays.

After Buck calls Game 2 of the 2020 World Series on Wednesday, he'll fly to Philadelphia to call the Eagles' Thursday Night Football home game against the New York Giants before resuming his World Series work on Friday.
