It is easy to get lost in the gimmicks and characters of the WWE stars we see on television. However, what we tend to forget is that off-camera, most are living regular lives taking care of children and their wives (or husbands). In this article, we take a unique look at some of the lesser known WWE children while also featuring kids you might be able to recognize. For the unrecognizable children, you likely didn’t even know that some of the WWE stars had kids to begin with. Seriously, did you think a 23 year old NXT prospect would have two children? If you did, pat yourself on the back and scroll through the article to see if any of the other names caught you off guard.

From AJ Styles, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, we feature the known and lesser known children of current WWE stars. Enjoy the article folks and like always, be sure to share it with a friend. Without a doubt, they’ll get a kick out of this article. Without further ado, here are nine unrecognizable children of current WWE stars and eight you might actually be able to recognize. We begin with the youngest father in the entire WWE and in fact, he recently welcomed a second child! Let’s begin.

Unrecognizable – Lio Rush (Dakari Green)

We don’t blame you for this one. At the age of 23, many wrestling fans didn’t realize that Lio is actually a father of two outside of the ring. Just this past February, Rush welcomed his second child, Dakai Liam Green. The future 205 Live star opened up to ESPN discussing the struggles in managing his personal life and career;

"It's a bit of a rough situation," Rush said. "Trying to find that balance in life on the personal side and the professional side. It is a little rough having a newborn and not being able to be there 24/7. That is a little bit of a rough thing to deal with too knowing that [my 4-year-old] will be starting school and having to come home and have homework and go to school every day and I won't be there for him as much as I'd like to be.”

He was in the doghouse for quite some time following his controversial comments made to Emma after she was released. However, given his talent level, it was obvious that time was going to heal this wound. He is set to join 205 Live in the not-so-distant future. We wish the father of two the very best.

Might – Brock Lesnar (Sons: Luke, Turk & Duke Lesnar And Daughter: Mya Lesnar)

You might be able to recognize Brock’s two boys given the fact that they look exactly like him. Lesnar has four kids in total; the two you see in the photo below are from his current relationship with Sable, Turk and Duke. Brock also has two other children from a prior relationship, Mya Lynn (above) and Luke (below). Mya also has a striking resemblance to her dad, most would be able to recognize her as Lesnar’s daughter as well (as you can see in the photo above).

These days, Brock is spending a lot of time at home with his family. That’s the perks of working a limited schedule. According to his friends, Brock’s devotion to family has completely changed him for the better;

“To me, it seems like his family evened him out and settled him down and made him a little more mature,’’ said Jesse Sabot, who wrestled with Lesnar at Bismark State College in the late 1990s. “He seems really focused this time. He seems like he’s really got it in his head exactly what he knows he wants to do."

Now in his 40s, Brock is still showing no signs of slowing down. Lesnar currently holds the Universal Championship, set to break CM Punk’s record as the longest serving title holder. He’s also set for a UFC return in the near future.

Unrecognizable – Jeff Hardy (Ruby Claire & Nera Quinn Hardy)

Leaving the WWE, Jeff wasn’t in the best place. He struggled with many issues though shortly after leaving, he and his wife had their first child, Ruby Claire. Becoming a father, Hardy mentions that this part of his life helped him get through the difficult times;

“I’m back to a place now where I was before, where I don’t need a pill to go paint a canvas. That’s my new fix is doing it again. It took a while to get there, but I’m here, and I’m a father now as well. That’s another huge inspiration in my life. Through everything that has happened recently, to see Matt now, I think he’s doing really well. Even with my daughter now, I kind of know how my dad feels.”

Jeff is a completely different person these days with the WWE. He’s a lot more mature and a lot of that has to do with becoming a dad to his two beautiful daughters, Ruby Claire & Nera Quinn Hardy. As for his in-ring abilities, he continues to dazzle these days; few fans notice that he’s in his 40s at the moment.

Might – Matt Hardy (Maxel & Wolfgang Xander Hardy)

A lot has changed for Matt since the last time he was with the WWE. And we mean A LOT. Behind the curtain, Hardy has the support of his loving wife Reby Sky, who also took part in the 'Broken' gimmick’s success during his TNA run. Another focal point to the persona was Matt’s son, Maxel Hardy, who also became a popular figure among the wrestling community. Given the success of the gimmick, Hardy was welcomed back to the WWE. He recalls the chilling return;

"We had literally just arrived at the building right before we were due to walk down the ramp to the ring, and the adrenaline of being snuck into the building and going up to gorilla (position) and then walking down that ramp was very, very special.”

Unlike Jeff who keeps his children under the radar, Matt has done the complete opposite. For that reason, most would be able to recognize young King Maxel. The couple also had another child most recently, last year, they welcomed Wolfgang Xander to the world. Both post photos of their children on the regular via social media. Without a doubt, it wouldn’t be too shocking if they grow up to carry on the family legacy in the wrestling business.

Unrecognizable – Chad Gable

Although he grew up as a prestigious amateur wrestler with terrific accolades such as making it to the 2012 Summer Olympics, Gable nonetheless always had a soft spot for pro wrestling;

“I always loved pro wrestling,” he said. “I always loved WWE. I loved WCW. I wanted to be a pro wrestler longer than I ever dreamed about being in the Olympics or anything like that. Just so happened that I really excelled in amateur wrestling, and I chose that path for college reasons. I ended up training for a long time and made it to the Olympics, but when that was over, I had to decide what I wanted to do, and the opportunity was there to take a shot at this dream that I had since I was a little kid. I thought why not try to turn this into something, and luckily [WWE] had me down for a tryout, gave me a shot, and it went very well..and it all worked out.”

With a background as an amateur wrestler, Gable quickly impressed during his tryout. Most wrestlers just get accustomed to in-ring work a lot quicker. He’s now on the main roster with the Raw brand.

A lesser known fact about his personal life: Gable is a proud father of a beautiful daughter, a part of his life most don’t know about.

Might – Kevin Owens (Owen & Elodie Leila Steen)

You might be able to recognize KO’s son in particular for a couple of reasons. One, his reaction to seeing his dad take on his hero John Cena, in his debut went viral online. Secondly, he’s grown up since then and he’s really starting to look a lot like his father.

He plays the role of an intense heel on-screen, however away from the camera, Owens is totally different. Kevin is all about family and when he’s off the road he is always spending time with his wife and kids. Owens explains that when he’s away from work, it is all about spending time with the people he loves most;

"I enjoy every second I get in the ring. But there's a bigger picture now and a much bigger purpose to everything and it's to take care of my kids and my wife and make sure they have a good future. Everything I do really is for my family. It's not just a line. I leave Friday morning to go on the road to wrestle for WWE to make money so I can come back Wednesday morning and have money to provide for my family. Everything I have to do in-between is what I have to do to make that happen."

Unrecognizable – Scott Dawson (Kayci Harwood)

The 33 year old is another WWE star you wouldn’t associate with being affectionate and a loving father out of the ring. However, if you follow him on the 'gram, you’re well aware that is in fact the case. A father to a beautiful daughter Kayci, Dawson sent out an emotional message, posting a photo of his daughter tucked into bed;

“ Home for 14 hours just so I could tuck her in bed. It was worth it. Back on the road to #RAWMontreal. PS. Don’t think I’m some kinda softy! I’m still a horrible human at heart.”

Family is everything for Dawson, so much so that he almost left the business altogether at one point in order to properly feed his daughter. He spent lots of time on the indies and following a tour in Japan, that was almost it for the tag wrestler. Just when he was about to call it a career he received an email from William Regal and as they say, the rest is history. He might not be getting booked as well as he was in NXT but he’ll still appreciate the stable pay that allows him to be there for both his wife and daughter.

Might – Randy Orton (Brooklyn Rose Orton)

You might be able to recognize Randy’s daughter for the simple fact that she looks exactly like her dad. Brooklyn Rose Orton is Randy’s daughter with his current wife, Kim Kessler. He also has another daughter from his past relationship to ex-wife Samantha Speno, Alanna Marie Orton.

These days, a big reason for Orton changing his ways is the fact that he’s a father to Brooklyn and three other boys from Kessler’s past relationship. You can see how much Randy’s daughter means to him from the caption of this post;

“Nothing puts a smile on my face quite like her. The older I️ get the more I️ realize how important it is to raise my kids to believe in themselves, care about others, and know the sky’s the limit with what they can accomplish in life. I’m far from perfect, but seeing this little girls innocent smile makes me wonder if I️ helped create something perfect with @kim.orton01.”

At the age of 38, Orton is enjoying life off the road these days. He’s currently on the sidelines with an injury, likely spending lots of family time. However, don’t expect him to hang up the boots any time soon, as Orton has stated that he still has a lot of juice left in the tank.

Unrecognizable – Mustafa Ali

Another lesser known father in the WWE, Mustafa Ali has two children, an adorable boy and an adorable girl. Most fans did not know this, especially due to the fact that he seems so young. If you follow Ali on social media, then you might have known, as he often posts about his family; photos with his wife, son and daughter.

Not only is he a family man but Ali is also trying to break barriers by promoting all ethnicities. He spoke about being a catalyst for the change;

"I remember one kid ... he said to me it's always cool to see someone you consider a role model doing something big and chasing their dreams, but it's even cooler when that person looks like you," Ali recalled. When he said that, I really realized it's true. It's a little easier to relate to someone when you feel 'hey that's me. That's how I look and it's someone with the same concerns I have growing up."

At the age of 32, Ali is a big time asset for the WWE both in and out of the ring. With the company promoting equality, Ali is serving as a huge spokesperson for the cause. He’ll continue to work his craft on 205 Live as one of the more talented performers on the brand.

Might – Chris Jericho (Ash, Sierra And Cheyenne Irvine)

You might be able to recognize Jericho’s kids based off of the fact that they all look like Y2J. His daughters are identical twins while Ash Edward is the oldest of the bunch.

Despite his hectic schedule throughout the years, Chris has managed to maintain a healthy family life alongside his wife, Jessica Lockhart. Chris has admitted that finding the balance isn’t as hard as most would think;

“It’s not hard at all. I mean…that’s the priority, and the rest is just my job. So, there is a real good balance in that, you know, when I am working, I am working, and when I am at home, I am at home. I always make sure that I give plenty of time to being at home. I think that is the reason that I am able to make it work, just because I know that you need to spend that time, you know, with your family. That’s the most important thing. So, I never do tours over three weeks long specifically for that reason. It’s balanced, it’s not really juggling, it’s just a balance. You know, as many things as I do, there’s just as many things that I don’t do as far as projects…I am turning down a lot of things. Like I said, family is the most important thing to me.”

Unrecognizable – Apollo Crews (Sade Sofiya Uhaa)

Just last year, Apollo and his partner Linda, welcomed Sade Sofiya into the world. The 30 year old is another lesser known father and rarely does he post about his daughter, choosing to keep his family life on the down low.

He entered the WWE with a lot of hype, however since joining the main roster, things haven’t been the same for Apollo. Nonetheless, he still credits his current partner Titus O’Neal in helping him a lot along the way;

"Titus helped me to understand that WWE is not only all about wrestling. He helped me to understand that I need to help learn to become an entertainer as well. When you are out there having fun people can feel that and they can have fun themselves, so he is helping me be more relaxed on camera and open up my personality and not be afraid to go out there and have fun. I think when I first got to WWE I took myself a little too seriously. I just want to be a great wrestler, but I think there is a lot more to that when it comes to WWE and he has helped me to understand that, which has worked out a lot better for me. People have recognized that I have a lot more of a personality and I do have character and charisma so I thank him for that everyday."

Might – Kurt Angle (Giuliana & Sophia Angle)

Most are aware that Kurt has a family outside of the ring. In fact, Angle is the father to five children. Two of his kids come from his prior marriage to Karen. He then had three children with his current wife Giovanna, all three of them daughters. Angle posts regularly about the girls.

He recently posted a cute photo of his daughters following a dance recital. Yes, Kurt is all about family when he isn’t running Raw.

Kurt still feels the itch to wrestle and he has even discussed opponents he would love to face at some point down the road. With the product a little stale at the moment, perhaps any of his desired opponents would be welcomed by the fans;

“I’m (also) looking at guys like Sheamus and Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Roman Reign and Dean Ambrose. There are a lot of guys I’d love to get in that ring with. I have a wish list, we’ll see if I get to cross them all off, but I plan on hopefully coming back and wrestling sometime soon, I don’t know when, they haven’t given me the green light as to when I’m going to do it again.”

Unrecognizable – The Undertaker (Kaia Faith Calaway)

The Undertaker is the father to four children from three separate marriages. The most recognizable of the bunch has to be Gunner Vincent, his son from his first marriage. Gunner resembles Taker quite a bit. He also has two daughters with his other ex-wife, Sara.

Undertaker remarried a third-time in the summer of 2010. Two years later, the couple had a daughter, Kaia Faith Calaway. Most wouldn’t recognize her due to the fact that McCool usually hides her identity. In the photos we have seen, she doesn’t really resemble Taker, but more so Michelle.

At the age of 53, it remains to be seen whether or not we’ll see The Deadman again. Triple H has stated that the future of his career is entirely up to Taker himself;

"I think, I've said this recently and I will say it on here. If it is one person that has earned the shot to call it the way he would like it is The Undertaker. I think this will all depend on him and it should all depend on him. It should be what he wants to and what he feels comfortable doing. I know him, as a performer always wants to give it his best, and if he can't he won't do it. I think that when he is in a position where he is now, he wants to be out there and show The Undertaker to the world, but it comes down to what he wants to do, and it should."

Might – Heath Slater

We know he has kids due to the fact that he's said it several times, even during a promo with Brock Lesnar. Slater’s two daughters also look like their dad; most fans might be able to recognize Slater as the father of these two.

At 34 years old, Heath is a veteran in the business. He got started in the early 2000s and he signed his first WWE deal in 2006 reporting to Deep South.

What is most important is providing for his family; Slater might even be thinking about life after WWE with the recent opening of his wrestling school;

"I want to bring in everyone from everywhere. Giants to little people to Cruiserweights to my size and people with charisma, people without charisma and I could help them all I feel and give them a little bit of knowledge. I feel like in the wrestling business I am more like a chameleon and I adapt to what I have to do and that is just how I feel about myself, so I am just hoping that this will open a lot of eyes and you see that the right people are there to help you out and you succeed and come in and soak up everything you can like a sponge."

Unrecognizable – Tony Nese (Lucy Nese)

Out of the ring, Nese is a loving family man but again, few fans know about this. Nese has a four year old daughter, Lucy Nese. He’s also happily married and by the looks of it, very grateful for his wife who holds down the fort while he’s on the road with 205 Live.

He might seem brand new to WWE fans, however Nese got his start in the industry a while ago, way back in 2005. He made various stops on the indie scene, he even joined TNA briefly for a cup of coffee. The Cruiserweight Classic gave plenty of indie names the chance to showcase their skills, and Nese was one of them. The company was so impressed by his performance that he was offered a deal with the company and he would join 205 Live later.

He continues on with the company at the age of 32. Nese was also brought to the Saudi Arabia Greatest Royal Rumble match, entering at number 10. He even managed to get a wrestler over the top rope during the cameo, though it should be noted that he took out Hornswoggle. He was eliminated shortly after by New Day members Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Might – AJ Styles (Ajay Covell Jones)

Out of the ring, AJ has five children... yes five; three of them being boys. As a proud parent, he recently posted a photo of one of his sons alongside a massive trophy for his speed skills at Cooperstown. Taking a look at AJ’s son, you’d be able to recognize him given how similar he looks to his dad, especially rocking almost the same haircut.

At 41 years of age, it is surprising that AJ hasn’t missed a beat in the ring. A lot of that has to do with the fact that he’s wiser, especially when he’s training out of the ring;

“I’m not maxing out. Heavy weight is not that big of a deal for me anymore. I’m not out to get bigger. I’m out to maintain what I’ve got. Sometimes that’s doing a lot more reps, or doing heavy one week and light the next. I went to the Kansas City Chiefs facility with a friend, and they showed me the blood pressure cuffs. It’s called blood flow restriction. What I have is…basically blood pressure cuffs. I get them where I need to be, where it’s tight, but not too tight. As long as I can feel my fingers, there’s no numbness. I workout and I feel like my biceps are about to explode. I move to my triceps, they feel like they’re about to explode. And the great thing about this workout is, you don’t go over 20 minutes.”

Unrecognizable – Roman Reigns (Twin Boys)

Love him or hate him, Roman is a workhorse for the WWE;

"We don't have an offseason. This is a weekly thing for us. 52 weeks a year," said Reigns. "And it is grueling, and it is tough, and it's not meant for everybody. But, when you achieve that goal, when you create those goosebumps... those are real, and regardless of what size crowd you've been in front of, or what was the best match, you still get them in the craziest moments, and those are the moments that make you feel truly alive.

"And when you see that effect that you have on that lady over there, or the man with his son, you know you're creating those moments that you're gonna be a part of for the rest of their life. And I think that's why our fanbase is so strong, and that's why it's global because we've been able to share that connection with so many people."

Despite the crazy schedule, Reigns quietly had twin boys. The birth of his sons was so on the down low that when he was sent home from the tour to attend to his wife, most fans thought he was in trouble;

"It's funny how people come up with, like, all these conclusions. Like, nobody knew what was going on with me. I'm not like (The) Miz where I announce it on every RAW. 'He's sick!', 'something happened!', 'he got in trouble!', 'oh no, he did it again!' And then, no, like, I went home because I was having babies! We didn't talk about it (in public); that was a year ago."
