For the most part, you don’t get into pro wrestling for the money. Chances of making it big are rather slim. Instead, most are motivated by the passion of working their craft. It truly is a special time to work in the industry as now, more so than ever before, wrestlers are capable of making a living without the backing of the WWE. The indie scene is immense and non-WWE talent are profiting off of it. Just ask the Young Bucks who are now selling their merch at stores such as Hot Topic.

However, the goal will always be to work with the WWE. Just ask Gallows and Anderson, the two opted to move back to North America and join the WWE due to the stable pay. At the end of the day, you’ll get really rich working for McMahon’s company.

A-List wrestlers make the most money; usually over half a million per year and into the millions. In this article, we take a unique look at the performers that make the most money and how they choose to live. We feature eight high profile stars that live easy-going lives like the rest of us, and we’ll also include seven that clearly live that lavish lifestyle. Enjoy folks and like always, be sure to share the article with a friend. Let’s get started!

D-List Lifestyle – Alexa Bliss

NXT wasn’t the easiest for Alexa Bliss. She struggled early on and was basically thrown in the ring before she was even ready. However, everything changed once she made the main roster. With SmackDown Live, Bliss went from a B player to an A-lister on the main roster. She’s the first ever female to capture both Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships.

Off the road, her life isn’t so glamorous. The 26 year old just likes to chill out during her days off, cuddling up in a ball and watching Friends on Netflix, among other things.

"On Tuesdays after I land, I'm not going to do anything. I'm not going to plan my day, just take it as it comes," she said. "[After a show] you land, get your laundry done and re-pack for the road. Wednesday is a chill-out day and Thursday I'm booking my cars, booking my hotels, finishing up my laundry and getting ready to go on the road. ... My days off are still very work consumed."

She also takes care of a couple of pets, which include dogs and a pig by the name of Larry-Steve; “Pigs are easy. They are just like dogs and cats. He's trained to a litter box. He gets walked. He's very low maintenance."

A-List Lifestyle – The Miz & Maryse

They play the role of A-Listers on television, however it seems like The Miz lives the gimmick in real-life too. The couple enjoys the finer things in life and having worked for the WWE for so long, you can bet they’ve saved a buck or two in recent years.

The LA Times reported just how much money the couple has. They put their home for sale (located on the Hollywood Hills); the house was valued at an astonishing $3.65 million. According to the listing, the home is loaded with luxuries;

“Tucked behind gates and lush landscaping, the Mediterranean-style house was renovated and expanded by Mizanin and has more than 4,500 square feet of living space. The four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house sits on three lots totalling about half an acre with a swimming pool, a basketball court and a custom, glass-wall spa.”

“Features include a screening room, a master suite with a soaking tub and a center-island kitchen. A newly added game room has a wet bar and bi-folding glass doors that lead to a patio with a built-in barbecue. Balconies wrapped in decorative ironwork extend from the second and third floors.”

With the birth of their child, the couple decided it was time to switch homes. Somehow they upgraded, moving in to what appears to resemble a castle more than a home. Miz properly coined the term #CastleMarMiz, to describe his new residence.

D-List Lifestyle – Dean Ambrose

Growing up, Dean Ambrose didn’t have much. He pretty much grew up in poverty and the only escape he had early on was the world of pro wrestling (which was his calling). Dean recalls his humbling routines early on in his life;

“When I was a kid and first started wrestling, I would go to practice—they gave me a key to let myself in—I’d go in there and lift weights for a couple of hours and then roll around and practice. It’d be three hours of conditioning, wrestling, running, and then I’d stick around for another hour and wrestle. Then I’d go to my job and work at this factory from 11 at night till 7 in the morning Sunday through Thursday, which was the perfect indie wrestler job, because you got the weekends off. I’d get off at 7 in the morning from lifting these metal things onto hooks or whatever.”

Despite becoming one of the most popular Superstars in the entire company, Ambrose has kept his ways in his personal life. He lives an easy-going life away from the spotlight with his wife Renee Young. The two reside in Vegas, living life on the down low.

A-List Lifestyle – Goldberg

Goldberg picked the perfect time to enter the wrestling business. He was recruited at a local gym and once he decided to join WCW, he became a very rich man. He continues to live a lavish lifestyle these days, residing out of his beautiful Bonsall, California home. However, what might be even more impressive is the collection of cars that can be found in his garage. He unveiled the muscle cars during an interview with GQ, and Muscle Car Zone summed up his extensive collection;

“His current car collection has 17 cars and most of them are American muscle cars. First on the list is the 1968 Plymouth which was his first muscle car as well. This beast was under the restoration process for 5 years. He bought it for $20,000 and once it is fully restored it can be sold for as much as $100,000. The engine is primarily what made him purchase this beast.”

“There is also a 1968 Plymouth GTX Hardtop next to it. What follows next is absolutely stunning. It is the 1959 Chevy Biscayne. This car has the original color and the classic 4-speed transmission. Their production ended in 1972 and it is estimated that it costs around $50,000. But the best part about it is that this is a Moonshine car.”

With a net worth of over $14 million, Goldberg isn’t afraid to spend some of his good fortunes.

D-List Lifestyle – Seth Rollins

As of right now, Seth Rollins might be the most over WWE Superstar in the entire company. He continues to put on five-star matches and he’s receiving the top reactions these days. You would think that with such a profile, Rollins would appreciate the finer things in life. However, that’s not the case at all. Outside of the ring, Seth loves the normal things that life has to offer, such as playing video games, training younger wrestlers at his academy and doing some intensive Cross Fit training. And if you can believe it, he still resides in the Iowa area he grew up in; that’s a rarity in the world of pro wrestling with most opting to move to a more glamorous area such as Florida or California. Rollins explains why he chose to never leave his beloved hometown of Iowa;

"I always tell them it's a great place to live. ... Everyone's very polite; there's just enough to do; and traffic is at a bare minimum, aside from when the bridge is being worked on," Mr. Lopez said. "It's easygoing, chill Midwest life. And that's kind of what I grew up with, and that's what kind of keeps me grounded, keeps me balanced when I'm off the road."

A-List Lifestyle – Baron Corbin

Some would argue that Corbin isn’t an A-List wrestler, however he certainly lives like one. Take his Instagram as an example, Corbin posts about luxury items on the regular, whether it be a new watch he just purchased or a sweet pair of headphones. He also posts about some of his finer muscle car purchases; the guy is living a decent life outside of the ring, it seems.

One of his most expensive purchases actually had something to do with a pair of WWE legends. Corbin purchased Big Show’s beautiful Florida home which was initially owned by The Undertaker. The residence has a stunning backyard view of a beautiful body of water, not to mention the fact that it was made for a big man. WWE.com discussed the purchase;

Baron Corbin isn’t just the latest Superstar to hold the Money in the Bank contract, he’s also the third Superstar to inherit a unique heirloom — and no, we don’t mean the Most Metal Athlete award, either.

As The Lone Wolf revealed to Chris Jericho on this week’s episode of Talk is Jericho, he recently purchased a house previously owned by Big Show, who had himself bought the property from none other than The Undertaker.

“It was built for a big man,” quips Corbin of the cavernous abode. “Everything is way taller than it should be.”

D-List Lifestyle – Braun Strowman

Joining the company in 2013, the addition of Braun Strowman was a monumental one. For years, McMahon has tried to push a big man and finally, due to a feud with Roman Reigns, Braun came out of the angle more over than ever before. He was changed into a babyface and he’s now one of the most over WWE Superstars on (both) the entire main roster(s). He’s surely going to be a WWE Champion at some point, however wrestling for only a couple of years on the main show, he still has some time to develop even further.

You would think that with all that success he’d be living quite the life outside of the ring. However, that’s not the case at all. During his down time, Strowman enjoys the easy going things such as hanging out with family or enjoying some quiet time in the woods. He compares his real-life self to the character you see on television;

"I'm easy-going, keep to myself and quiet-like. It's always a challenge to push myself, but I enjoy it. I spend my days in cars, buses, and airplanes, so on my off days I like to get away from the city life and disappear into the woods."

A-List Lifestyle – Nikki Bella

Yup, not too surprising, Nikki Bella enjoys the finer things in life as evidenced on Total Divas and Total Bellas. However, despite her expensive and lavish lifestyle she’s earned the right to make such purchases. Bella has an empire outside of the WWE, whether it be as a reality show star, wine brand owner or even, clothing line entrepreneur with her new brand Birdiebee.

With that said, she’s still making some massive purchases. Just recently on Total Bellas we saw Nikki and John’s new San Diego home. Bella spoke about the new house;

“[This clip] is a lot of fun cause I’m giving you a tour of John and I’s house in San Diego, and it is beautiful,” Nikki says as the WWE Divas introduce the clip. I think my sister especially fell in love with our wine cellar.”

The home is loaded with goodness, just the basement area itself is bigger than most first floors of an average home. The game room also features a stunning billiards table, not to mention that massive backyard that features a pool along with a breathtaking view. Heck, the couple even held an engagement party at the new residence. Surely, this won't be Nikki's last big purchase.

D-List Lifestyle – Mick Foley

We include a throwback entry. Perhaps the cheapest wrestler of all-time has to be Mick Foley. While on the road, Mick tried to save every penny possible whether that meant spending a couple of bucks on cheap food options or even, sleeping in his car or on a hotel floor with other wrestlers.

He’s kept that mentality to this day. Although he does have a nice home in the New York area, Foley has kept some lower-tier commodities (if you can call them that), such as an old school, beat up van. Yeah, you would think all that money saving and large net worth would result in a new car but he just doesn’t care.

He also prolonged his hip surgery due to the fact that he doesn’t have health insurance. He was also unwilling to drop 60K on the procedure;

“For those wondering why I just don't pay out-of-pocket, well it's a $60,000 operation, and I am going to look at some other options before I shell out 60K for an operation. Maybe I will concentrate on landing a couple of TV or film roles and get the far superior AFTRA insurance to take care of the operation. I probably should not be talking about it at all – but the word is out there, and I feel like I owe people an explanation.”

A-List Lifestyle – Triple H

Married to Stephanie McMahon and becoming one of the most influential faces behind the scenes, you would figure he was living an A+ lifestyle outside of the ring. Not only does he share a massive estate with Stephanie and their three children, Hunter also has some incredibly expensive toys, one of which is a private jet worth close to $28 million. Triple H puts the plane to good use however, travelling from WWE main roster shows to NXT and back home where he spends time with the family and at the WWE head office in Stamford.

Tim Lawson opened up about the jet purchase made a couple of years ago, back in 2013;

"Naija Standard gathered that WWE entered into an agreement to purchase a new corporate jet for $27.5million. The 2006 Bombardier Global 5000 jet replaced the WWE’s current plane which is a 1998 Canadair Challenger. WWE has owned the jet since 2001. WWE is looking to sell the Canadair Challenger ‘at a higher price’. Naija Standard also observed that the agreement includes notes on WWE’s use of the corporate jet. For example, WWE is not permitted to use the jet as a taxi service, or fly the jet in restricted airspace. It was also revealed that the primary hangar location is Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York."

D-List Lifestyle – Ronda Rousey

A friend of Rousey’s made a bold statement when assessing her childhood;

“She may not have had much financially but she had this drive and spirit and determination. That is why she has become as big as she is. She made it happen herself.”

All Rousey had at one point was her car and a dog. She lived in poverty unsure of what her next move was going to be. In order to pay the bills, she entered the world of MMA and before she knew it, Rousey became a household name and one of the most profitable UFC fighters of all time.

She’s gone on to star in movies, not to mention signing a lucrative WWE deal. However, she still maintains an easy-going way of life alongside her husband Travis Browne; "I wouldn't call myself domesticated, but … because I really care about the quality of my soil, I guess that makes me domesticated."

The LA Times Discussed Rousey’s current living conditions during an interview with the WWE star; “At home in Riverside County, Rousey called life with Browne "blissful." They have goats and chickens on her property, cracking that her gardening is "doomsday prepping" and "sustainable living". I guess that makes [it] settling down … preparing for the apocalypse. I love that."

A-List Lifestyle – Batista

Before he entered the business, Batista was broke. His future looked pretty bleak early on when WCW rejected The Animal, claiming he wasn’t tall enough for the business. Of course, that would all change once he joined the WWE. Placed in a stable with Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton, his career took off as a major part of the Ruthless Aggression Era.

He made some serious money with the WWE and his trajectory would only continue following his departure. Batista is making a fortune in the world of Hollywood due to the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He’s now a mainstay and making some serious coin outside of the company.

Batista isn’t known to live a humble lifestyle, instead he loves to live a flashy way of life. Even during his WWE days he proudly displayed some of his toys in the garage. Batista gave us a glimpse of his 'top of the line' rides; without a doubt these days he’s upgraded those purchases.

Set to turn 50 in early 2019, rumors still swirl around about a possible return to the WWE. The Animal has expressed interest in returning and it wouldn’t shock us if he comes back for one more run.

D-List Lifestyle – Brock Lesnar

“I eventually want to become a Saskatchewan resident and … I just want to learn a little more about the province,” he said. I grew up on a farm. I love the country. I like the wildlife. I like everything that Saskatchewan has to offer.”

Yup, Brock Lesnar actually delivered on that stablemate moving to Saskatchewan. He lives a normal life with his two sons and wife, Sable. He loves farming and visits local auctions in search of rare items for his ranch. Yeah, he’s a special kind of guy despite all his success in both WWE and MMA.

You would think that with all the money he’s made Lesnar would live a little more elegantly. Even the terms of his new contract are truly envious (and have clauses other wrestlers could only dream of). Lesnar is set to make $127K per every TV appearance along with $637K per PPV fight. Yes, that’s a lot of money. Perhaps Lesnar might be inclined to show up a little more in the future. However, according to recent news, he’s set to rejoin the UFC at some point in 2018. Regardless of how much money he makes, don’t expect his lifestyle to change one bit.

A-List Lifestyle – John Cena

We got a glimpse of John Cena’s lifestyle through both Total Bellas and Total Divas. One thing that is crystal clear is that Cena enjoys the finer things in life. His house looks like an expensive museum, whether it be the ravishing marble floors or the beautiful pool area. John also likes to eat luxurious meals; that means dressing up and enjoying a glass of wine with family or hitting the two and going to a nice restaurant. Cena has these rituals due to the fact that he had very little growing up. He’s making the most of his resources these days... clearly.

His estimated net worth is at over $50 million and you can only expect that number to rise in the next couple of years given the amount of work he has outside of the WWE. It appears as though Cena’s now a Hollywood mainstay, though he keeps getting paid by the WWE and we don’t expect that to change any time soon, either. One thing he’s saving money on is the cancellation of his epic Napa Valley wedding. It was expected to be a luxurious wedding to say the least, however with plans going south, he’ll save a couple of bucks, that's for sure.

D-List Lifestyle – Daniel Bryan

Despite his status within the WWE Universe as a major star and arguably the most beloved, Daniel Bryan continues to live a quiet and humble life alongside Brie and their new child. Daniel recently opened up about his life choices and here’s what he had to say about the way he chooses to live life;

“I think, 'OK, we're kind of mild celebrities.' But just because we're celebrities we don't live a big lifestyle," Bryan told BANG Showbiz, via Entertainment.ie. "One of the things that's really overplayed in our society is that people look at the superstars living these extravagant lifestyles on TV and the message to you, the viewer at home, is that this is the lifestyle you should be pursuing. I don't think that's the case at all.”

"Simplicity makes us happy, and I think the more that you show people that and the more you show it to them as an option, the better it is. We don't want a big house, a big house is wasteful. You don't need lots of stuff, having loads of stuff is wasteful. If you can give more of yourself to your community and to the people around you that's a lot more meaningful to your life."
