There might be a new backstage scandal in WWE almost every week and a new WWE relationship revealed on a daily basis, but it seems that some women in the company have been able to avoid their private life becoming public knowledge by remaining single. Some women haven't made this decision by choice because of previous relationships, while others have made the decision to focus on their career and not be made part of any new stories that could affect their career outside of the company.
Scandals will always cause problems for WWE stars, whether they will admit it or not, but it seems that while John Cena and Seth Rollins are easily able to brush past their personal issues, the same can not be said for WWE's women's division. Women are seen as much more replaceable than men, even in an era where there's a Women's Revolution in full swing. It seems that WWE won't think twice about dropping someone from a main storyline because of a backstage altercation; just ask Sasha Banks.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to focus on your career and not on personal relationships behind the scenes. Even though Total Divas has made the relationships in WWE public knowledge, it seems that some women would prefer to only make headlines when their career deems that it's appropriate. The following list looks at 15 WWE women both past and present who have remained single over the past few years or recently become single after their lengthy relationships have failed.
Lita is a WWE Hall of Famer and former four-time Women's Champion, but the most memorable thing about her lengthy career will always be the love triangle that she was part of with Matt Hardy and Edge back in 2005.
This affair defined Lita's career and saw her leave WWE in 2006 as one of their biggest villains because of the way she treated Matt Hardy on TV, but it seems that her love life hasn't improved over the past decade. Lita was recently linked with former WWE Champion CM Punk but after two short attempts at a relationship, the duo broke up and Punk went on to marry AJ Lee and Lita went back to the single life. Lita has remained single over the past few years, which is perhaps something that the former Women's Champion has come to prefer after all of the problems that her past relationships have caused her.
14 Shayna Baszler
Shayna Baszler was the runner-up of the inaugural Mae Young Classic back in the summer before she was signed to WWE on a deal that has seen her sent to the Performance Centre where she has continued to train before her debut in WWE. Baszler has only made a select number of appearances for WWE but could be a main star in the company moving forward.
Baszler has a history in the spotlight as one of the Four Horsewomen of MMA alongside Ronda Rousey. The 37-year-old has focused on her career over the past few decades which is why she is almost 40 years old now and still remains one of the single women of WWE. Baszler hasn't been able to juggle a personal and professional career like her friend Ronda, but it seems that she will be part of WWE' s main roster within the next year, which means that she probably chose to focus on the right thing.
13 Kelly Kelly
Kelly Kelly is perhaps a shock name on this list for a number of fans, who are well aware of Kelly's history when it comes to the male population of the WWE locker room. Kelly was linked to a number of WWE superstars during her time with the company, including Randy Orton, CM Punk and Chris Jericho, before she went on to marry former hockey player Sheldon Souray.
The two were married in Mexico back in 2016 but announced their decision to divorce earlier this year. The duo had been separated for a number of months before Kelly officially filed for divorce in October. Kelly became a reality show star as part of WAGS, something that came about because of her relationship with Souray, who she started dating back in 2014. Kelly did recently return to WWE as an ambassador, so at least she has a new career to step into following her separation.
12 Billie Kay
Billie Kay is one half of The Iconic Duo in NXT, the two women who were voted the breakout star of the year back in 2016. While her teammate Peyton Royce has already revealed that she has been in a relationship with SmackDown Live star Tye Dillinger for the past few years, it seems that Billie hasn't had a very busy personal life at all.
It's strange that Billie seems to be the one focused on her career since she is the least successful of the two, with Peyton recently being given the title shot and not Billie. The duo has remained on NXT despite the recent call-ups, which means that the company obviously has something for them moving forward. Billie is stunning; other than the fact that she has an incredibly demanding job, there should be no reason why she hasn't been able to pick up a boyfriend on the way to a successful career as well.
Aliyah has been part of WWE since she was just 18 years old and is still the youngest current WWE Diva. She has focused her entire adult life on performing and becoming one of the best female wrestlers in NXT and it seems that this is finally starting to show for her.
Aliyah has made a number of appearances on the NXT brand and has quite a firm following behind her but at just 23 years old, she obviously isn't looking for a detraction from her career right now. Aliyah probably feels that she has all the time in the world to have personal relationships after her career comes to an end, which is why she has remained single for so long. Wrestling is a career that doesn't have a lengthy shelf life, so Aliyah is aware that she needs to make an impact while she's young to ensure that her future in WWE is a lengthy one.
10 Sarah Logan
Sarah Logan only recently came to the attention of the WWE Universe, when she invaded SmackDown Live a few weeks ago alongside Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott. The trio has since made quite the impact on the main roster over the past few weeks and introduced Logan to an entirely different audience.
Logan was part of the inaugural Mae Young Classic earlier this year but was knocked out in the early rounds, and has appeared in a number of backstage segments for the company over the past few years. But she still seems to be better known as "Crazy Mary Dobson," a ring name that she performed under during her time on the independent circuit. Logan has been wrestling non-stop for the past six years, so it seems that she hasn't had time to have much of a personal life while also ensuring that she reaches her full potential in a wrestling ring.
9 Torrie Wilson
Torrie Wilson has appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine and is one of the most popular female wrestlers in WWE history. Torrie was never able to win a Championship while she was part of WWE, but she will be remembered as being part of the first ever Playboy Pillow Fight at WrestleMania, which is about on par with the legacy of the Divas Championship.
Torrie dated and was then married to fellow WWE star Billy Kidman from 2003 until their divorce back in 2008, which was when Torrie began dating former WWE star and Spirit Squad member Nick Mitchell. She later moved on to a relationship with New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, but the couple announced their split back in 2015. Torrie has since focused on becoming an online fitness instructor and blogger, something that she has been quite successful at over the past few years.
Kaitlyn is a former WWE Divas Champion and a woman who has always been obsessed with bodybuilding. She requested her release from WWE back in 2014 when her storyline with her best friend AJ Lee came to an end and many of the WWE Universe argue that Kaitlyn looks much better now than she did four years ago when she was part of WWE.
Kaitlyn was the winner of the first-ever all female season of NXT back in 2010, which is how she was promoted to the main roster, but she decided to walk away from the company back in January 2014. A few months later, Kaitlyn married long-time boyfriend and fellow bodybuilder PJ Braun, but the couple announced that they were divorcing earlier this year, something that was finalized in September. Kaitlyn has since thrown herself into her career and is now looking better than ever while still being on the market.
7 Ruby Riott
Ruby Riott was recently promoted to the main roster and now has her own "Riott Squad" on SmackDown Live. Ruby has had quite the climb to the top of the ladder in WWE, after spending a number of years on the Independent Circuit under the ring name Heidi Lovelace.
Ruby was signed to WWE back in 2016 and has since made quite the impression over the past few years. Riott most recently had an interesting feud with Nikki Cross on NXT, but the company decided to skip a lengthy run for her on the developmental brand and instead allowed her to go straight to the main roster. Ruby is another female who looks slightly intimidating, which she obviously should since she wrestles for a living, so perhaps that's why her personal life has been kept private over the past few years. Maybe Ruby would prefer to focus on her blossoming career as well.
Emma was recently released by WWE after it was reported that her failure to be able to create the Emmalina gimmick made her a few enemies backstage. Emma was a popular star with the WWE Universe so her release from the company came as a huge shock.
Emma has since returned to the Independent Circuit, and could finally now have a shot at a personal relationship. Emma was once in a relationship with former Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder, but it seems that the brand split back in 2016 came between the two superstars and Ryder then quickly moved on to a relationship with Impact Wrestling star Laurel Van Ness. Emma has since remained single, but has definitely been working out if her recent Instagram updates are anything to go by. Emma is finally in control of her life now and doesn't have to be on the road for 300 days a year, so she could finally have time for a personal life.
5 Sonya Deville
Sonya Deville is another female who was only recently promoted to the main roster and brought to the attention of the WWE Universe. Sonya has been competing as a fighter ever since she was 16 years old, which includes a run as an MMA performer.
Sonya is also the first ever openly gay female wrestler in WWE history and was in a relationship with fellow MMA fighter Christine Heath up until a few years ago. It seems that the pressure of a life in the spotlight as part of WWE has come between Sonya and her girlfriend, but the former NXT star hasn't allowed it to affect her focus over the past few months. Sonya was signed after her appearance on WWE Tough Enough and has seemingly made the switch from MMA to WWE quite effectively. Sonya will now probably prefer to concentrate on her professional life moving forward.
Asuka was the longest reigning NXT Women's Champion in the history of the brand as well as being undefeated for her entire career as part of the Orlando based division. Asuka is one of the best female performers that WWE has ever had at their disposal and she didn't get that way by giving in to any distractions while she was growing up.
Asuka has been wrestling for most of her life and at 36 years old, she still remains single. Make no mistake. Asuka is as lethal as she is beautiful, which could be why many men have been too intimidated by The Empress of Tomorrow. Asuka has the potential to become one of the biggest female stars in the history of the company since she was only recently promoted to the main roster, so it's quite obvious that she has no regrets when it comes to choosing her career over her personal life.
3 Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair is the only woman in WWE history to have held the Divas, SmackDown Women's, and Raw Women's Championships, as well as being the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. Charlotte's personal life has been the topic of a number of discussions over the past few years, mainly because much like her father's personal life, it has been quite interesting.
Charlotte has already been divorced twice, and back in 2015, she started a relationship with former World Champion Alberto Del Rio. It seems that Del Rio and Charlotte's relationship was purely a physical one, which could be why Del Rio quickly moved on to a relationship with Paige last year. Since this very public love triangle, Charlotte has decided to focus on her wrestling career and has become one of the most successful female wrestlers of all time, so it could be something she decides to continue doing in the future.
2 Nikki Cross
Nikki Cross was introduced to the main roster as part of Sanity, a group that has seemingly become quite a force to be reckoned with over the past few months. Nikki is the only female member of the group and perhaps one of the craziest.
The thing that people miss about Nikki because of the crazy nature of her character on the NXT brand is just how beautiful she really is. Before she came to WWE, Nikki made a name for herself as Nikki Storm on the Independent Circuit. Nikki is a sure-fire future Women's Champion in NXT and definitely one of the most intimidating women's wrestlers in the company, which could be why she has spent her entire time in WWE as a single person, something that could well have been a choice that she made when she made the switch over to the States from Scotland a few years ago.
Paige only recently made her return to WWE TV after a 15-month absence, and it seems that despite being part of a high profile relationship with Alberto Del Rio over the past two years, Paige has recently confessed that she is now single.
After having her relationship with Brad Maddox revealed to the world as well as her private tapes leaked earlier this year, Paige would be justified in wanting to concentrate on her wrestling career in the coming months, rather than wanting to remember the ups and downs of the past few years on the sidelines. Paige is a former NXT Women's Champion and Divas Champion; she has what it takes to become one of the best wrestlers in WWE, so remaining single for a while could be the best option for her if she wants fans to see her for her wrestling ability rather than the videos and images that have been shared of her in recent months.
