It turns out that Hollywood is just one big (sometimes happy) family! Believe it or not, we have even more famous people who happen to be related some way or another. Sometimes all it takes is a little spit or blood sample to realize that your family tree extends far beyond your expectations. Yes, we know, these days it is all about the Kardashians, but hear us out. Most of us are well aware (whether we like it or not) that Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian are the half-sisters of Kylie and Kendall Jenner. But people often forget about Brody Jenner, who is also a half-sibling to Kim K. Oh and Kourtney and Khloe, too. We know, the Kardashian-Jenner family tree gets a bit messy. Here’s what you can know: Brody Jenner is 33 years old and is currently working as a model and TV personality (of course). His biological parent is Caitlyn Jenner, while his biological mother is Linda Thompson. Just for the record, Kim Kardashian’s parents are Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian. Kris and Caitlyn were together for a time, which makes Kim and Brody half-siblings. Dizzy yet? We are too. Let’s stop here and wait for the next nugget of Kardashian news to bubble up.

14. Ray J & Brandy Norwood

So, you may know that Brandy Norwood and Snoop Dogg are related (they are first cousins), but Brandy has another famous relative: Ray J, who happens to be her younger brother. Music must run through the Norwood veins, because both Ray J and Brandy have made a living off of their vocals and musical abilities. Both Ray J and Brandy are singer-songwriters, producers, and actors. Brandy (age 37) had her heyday in the 1990s, and right now Ray J (age 35) is a tad more in the spotlight. But, it’s not totally for his music that people know him. He was the guy who made the sex tape with Kim Kardashian back in the day. Yes, it was him. If we put that aside, we can focus on his other endeavors: Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood and Driven To Love. Brandy’s recent work includes the Slayana World Tour and a stage production of Chicago at a Los Angeles theater.

13. Taryn Manning & Eli and Peyton Manning

Hey, who is this sweet-looking blonde? Taryn Manning is a singer-songwriter, fashion designer, and actress. Wow, that’s a lot of work. She is also the cousin of Eli and Peyton Manning, also known as some of the most well-known professional football players out there. If sports are not your thing, then head on over to Netflix and put on Orange is the New Black, where you can see Taryn portraying the character of Tiffany Doggett. If you like music, check out her electro-pop vibes with the band Boomkat. Oh, and she is also an owner of the clothing brand Born Uniqorn. So basically, she is really really busy. Don’t be disappointed if you do not spot her at a football game anytime soon. Besides, the Manning brothers are kind of old news now. Eli is still playing (he is on the New York Giants) and Peyton retired from professional football in March of 2016.

Could it be that the fabulous, fierce, and fantastic Halle Berry is related to Alaska politician Sarah Palin? Apparently it is true. Halle Berry spoke out in an interview and revealed that someone sent her an ancestral thing that connected her to Sarah Palin in some distant relative kind of way. At least it’s distant! Thanks to an increase in ancestry and family tree websites and services, more and more people are figuring out that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and they have more relatives in close proximity than they thought! But Halle Berry and Sarah Palin? Really? We can’t even come up with similarities between these two. Berry is an accomplished actress, while Palin is a politico who has made a mockery of herself. While Palin speaks about the Presidential election, Berry is busy enjoying her family.

11. Philip Glass & Ira Glass

Here is a blast from the past for you. 79-year-old Philip Glass is one of the most revered American composers of the 20th century. In short, he’s a big deal in the music world! He is the first cousin once removed of Ira Glass, producer of This American Life and public radio personality. Philip Glass is an interesting character; he founded the Tibet House with Richard Gere and was interviewed by his cousin Ira twice for his radio show. Philip has also worked on music and pieces alongside a large number of other famous composers and musical giants. As for Ira, he lives a quiet life with his wife, Anaheed Alani. He has also appeared in Veronica Mars (as himself), John Hodgman: Ragnarok, and The Colbert Report, among others. It appears that eccentricity runs in the family with these two, and the family resemblance is not hard to find if you really look for it!

10. Rip Torn & Sissy Spacek

Not sure who these two are? That’s okay, a lot of people don’t. Rip Torn is an actor, voice artist, and comedian, while Sissy Spacek is an actress and singer. They are also first cousins and past their prime, but they are not totally irrelevant. Rip Torn was in his heyday was in the 1980s and 1990s, in which he starred in Cross Creek as Marsh Turner and The Larry Sanders Show, where he played Arnie. His last film credit was 2013’s Johnny Kidd. As for Sissy Spacek, she was the narrator in 2016’s documentary River of Gold, and she plays the recurring character Sally Rayburn on the TV series Bloodline. She is best known as Carrie White from the Stephen King-inspired horror flick Carrie. Sissy has done a great job of avoiding negative press, but Rip Torn has battled legal troubles as well as co-worker conflicts in the past.

9. Kate Hudson & Kurt Russell

Blonde and adorable, even at age 37, Kate Hudson is always a sight for sore eyes. And she’s talented, too. It turns out that she can call a famous person her daddy: Kurt Russell. In case you didn’t know, Kate Hudson is the daughter of the famous Goldie Hawn, who happened to marry Kurt Russell in the 1980s after divorcing from actress Season Hubley. Kate was born in 1979, while Kurt and Goldie were dating, making Russell her stepfather. Kurt is still working hard at age 65; his 2017 projects include the films Fast 8 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Kate is taking a break after a busy 2016; she worked on Kung Fu Panda 3, Mother’s Day, Deepwater Horizon, and Marshall. Don’t forget about mommy dearest; Goldie Hawn is involved in the 2017 film Mother/Daughter. Talk about an over-achieving family!

8. Chris Pine & Robert Pine

The new Captain Kirk of the Star Trek reboot is looking mighty fine as Chris Pine. Who would have guessed that he is the son of actor Robert Pine, who played Sgt. Joseph Getraer in NBC’s CHiPs? Robert Pine’s film and television credits are numerous, and include Frozen, The Mentalist, Independence Day, The Bold and The Beautiful, as well as several video games (he did voice work). As for Chris Pine, he can definitely look up to his dad for support and motivation. Chris will star as Steve Trevor in 2017’s Wonder Woman film, and he will be in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, in which he will play the character of Eric. Chris also has a nice voice, as you can hear in several of the soundtracks and albums he is featured on. He was also involved in theater from 2006 to 2010. There’s a lot of talent in the Pine family!

7. Redfoo & Berry Gordy

What the what? How could Redfoo and Berry Gordy have anything in common? They are son and father! Yes, it may shock you at first, but it totally makes sense. Berry Gordy is a famous songwriter and record producer, and Redfoo is one part of the musical group LMFAO. Berry Gordy is considered to be one of the founding fathers of the Motown record label, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. Those are pretty big shoes for Redfoo to fill, but he seems to be taking it in stride. He is definitely his own person! We consider that a great feat, given that Redfoo has seven other step-siblings from Berry Gordy’s marriages and relationships (Redfoo is the youngest child of Gordy’s). If you’re wondering whatever happened to Redfoo and LMFAO, he released his single “Lights Out” in 2016 and dropped the album Party Rock Mansion.

6. Alexander Skarsgard & Stellan Skarsgard

Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard may not be on your radar, but his last name might sound familiar. That’s because the 65-year-old celeb is the father of Alexander Skarsgard, who is widely known among the masses these days. With father and son both involved in the acting industry, we bet that they exchange stories and lessons learned with each other. In the past few years, Alexander has made a pivotal name for himself, appearing in productions such as The Giver, Zoolander 2, and The Legend of Tarzan (he has the role of Tarzan!) And of course, let’s not forget his character Eric Northman from the hit TV series True Blood. As for his dad Stellan, we know him from Good Will Hunting, Breaking the Waves, Kill Your Darlings, and many more. So, will the story of Stellan and Alexander be like father like son? Time will tell, but we’d say they are both very accomplished!

5. Drew Barrymore & Sophia Loren

82-year-old Sophia Loren is a fashion and beauty icon that will stand the test of time. She also happens to be the godmother to Drew Barrymore. How cool would it be to say that your godmother was Sophia Loren? It’s a bit hard to believe that Drew is already 41 years old (she looks great and is by no means old!), we just remember her as a round-cheeked cutie in E.T. Yet, as with anyone, she grew up and now she is the mother of two lovely children: Olive and Frankie. Drew is also a godmother to Kurt Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean. As for Sophia, she married a man two decades her senior (Carlo Ponti, Sr.) back in 1957, and she remained loyal to him until his death in 2007. She even said that she would never be able to love another like that ever again. Wow, that’s admirable!

4. Gavin Rossdale & Daisy Lowe

You may have spotted 27-year-old Daisy Lowe on the TV show Dancing With The Stars, and you might have had the first impression of: “Why is she a star?” Well, her daddy is none other than Bush front man Gavin Rossdale. Yup, they are father and daughter, which is pretty darn cool. Daisy is also hot on the dance floor, with Dancing With The Stars judge Len Goodman singing his praises to her on the show. Anyway, while most people will know of Gavin Rossdale as the ex-husband of singer Gwen Stefani, Daisy is not Gwen’s biological daughter. Gavin had a brief fling with Pearl Lowe, a fashion designer. Gavin was married to Gwen Stefani from 2002 to 2015, and their split came as a huge shock. Still, they have both since moved on and appear to be doing well. If anything, Daisy’s appearance on Dancing With The Stars can serve as a distraction!

3. Conan O’Brien & Denis Leary

What do these two funny men have in common? They happen to be third cousins. Conan O’Brien and Denis Leary only have a few years between them (Leary is the elder one) and they are both talented and witty gentlemen. Turns out that it might run in the family’s blood because they are both distantly related. Both men make jabs and references to this upbringing in Irish Catholic households, which is another interesting tidbit. However, the difference is that O’Brien seems more at peace with the religion than Leary, who calls himself a “lapsed Catholic” (we hear ya, bro). Anyway, the two men are extremely accomplished and have a lot to be proud of. In 2016, O’Brien worked on a music video called “Fire” and Leary lent his voice to Ice Age: Collision Course. We will have to see what 2017 holds for these two...maybe a guest appearance on O’Brien’s show by Leary?

2. Emily Blunt & Stanley Tucci

Where do we know Stanley Tucci from? Well, lots of places. He played George Harvey in The Lovely Bones, Sean in Burlesque, Dr. Abraham Erskine in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Caesar Flickerman in The Hunger Games. And those are just four of his acting roles. So, how is he related to Emily Blunt? Well, Tucci is Blunt’s brother-in-law (this happened when he married Emily’s sister, Felicity, in 2012). Felicity is Emily’s older sister who also works as a literary agent. As for Emily, she was actually the one who introduced Stanley to Felicity, after meeting Stanley on the set of The Devil Wears Prada. Way to go, sis! As for Emily, she has dated singer Michael Buble and actor John Krasinski, but for now she is single and ready to mingle. Well, maybe not, because she recently finished The Girl on the Train, and she is doing voice work slated for 2017.

1. Melanie Griffith & Dakota Johnson

Many people will recognize Dakota Johnson from her roles in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie series, as well as How to Be Single and A Bigger Splash. What people might not realize is that Dakota is the daughter of 59-year-old actress Melanie Griffith. The mother-daughter acting duo are now one of the cutest pairings in Hollywood. For those who don’t know, Melanie is known for her work in the films Body Double, Something Wild, and Working Girl. She’s still acting though, and her 2016 film projects include Where the White Man Runs Away and The Masterpiece. Dakota is Melanie’s daughter with Don Johnson. Melanie also has a child with Steven Bauer (Alexander Bauer) and Antonio Banderas (Stella del Carmen Banderas). Who knew? These days, Melanie is divorced from all three of those men, but she is happier than ever, especially since her daughter Dakota is such a hot star!
