Celebrities are who they are largely because of the people who appreciate their work and buy their products. Every individual on earth has a skill or a talent that can make him or her rich and famous, it is just that only a few people get the opportunity to get there. However, most people think that the life of a celebrity is all about performances in events, signing autographs, and making millions of dollars every year. As much as all this is true to some extent, celebrities also go through issues in their personal lives just like you and me.

Although most celebrities seem as if so much in their lives works out flawlessly, we are all witnesses to the issues these men and women have in their relationships. Most of these idols hardly ever go a few years before they get out of relationships and into new ones. The ideal relationships should be those that lead to marriage and the ideal marriages are those where separation comes only in death, and very few celebrities happen to have such bonds.

This list is about celebrities who we all know are straight today, but have been involved in gay relationships at some point in their lives. Although a number of these people got into same-sex relationships willingly and just for fun, a number got into them through traumatizing events such as rape and abuse. Here are fifteen celebrities that you probably do not know about who have tasted both worlds. Which of these is the most unexpected?

Amber Rose

Amber Rose is a rapper, an actress, a model, and a fashion designer. With regard to her relationships, we remember her relationship with Kanye West, which began in 2008 and ended in 2010. She then got into a relationship with Wiz Khalifa, got engaged in 2012 and tied the knot in 2013. Rose and Khalifa have a son called Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, who was born five months before their wedding. The marriage between Rose and Khalifa ended in September 2014, after Rose filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. Although Rose wants full custody of her son, the two still have joint custody. You will probably be shocked to find some of the names included on this list, but Amber Rose is not a surprise. She claims that she can get into a relationship with anyone, as long as that person is human. Before her relationship with Kanye West, Rose was in a relationship with Tiffany Haynes, and they maintained communication for a long time after their breakup.

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is one of those actresses who has literally been acting all her life, since before she was even a year old, she auditioned for a food commercial and got the gig. In addition to acting, Barrymore is a model, producer, author and director - skills and talents that she must have acquired simply by being born in the Barrymore family, which was made up of stage and film actors. Her first big roles in film were in E.T the Extra-Terrestrial in 1982 and, two years later, in Irreconcilable Differences. With regard to her sexuality, she once claimed that when she was with a woman, she felt as if she was exploring her own body, and often did so with lots of women. However, as she grew older, she acknowledged that she was growing more "stylistically conservative" - especially after the birth of her children - and pursued more heterosexual relationships. Barrymore has been married three times to three different men, but is now single.

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is a famous celebrity actress, singer, and former child fashion model. Most of her success has come through the roles she has played in films, with her roles coming in films such as The Parent Trap, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls, Labor Pains, Machete, and Scary Movie 5. Lohan's inclusion on this list is concerning her romantic relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, which went on for close to a year. She refused to refer to herself as gay or bisexual at the time, but acknowledged the existence of the relationship with Ronson, despite later claiming that it was a very toxic one. In 2013, when Lohan was asked the question about her sexuality again, she outright said that she was straight, despite having made out with other girls and being in a relationship with Ronson. She claimed that the relationship was her looking for something different.

Megan Fox

Megan Fox is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood today, although she is still a model too. Fox started acting in 2001, but her big break came in 2007 when she co-starred in the film Transformers. She later appeared in the Transformers sequel in 2009 and has played numerous other significant roles since then. Fox is on this list because of a relationship she had with a woman called Nikita. Fox has always been very clear that she has never been a lesbian, and that she fell in love with Nikita because her boyfriend had just broken up with her. She wanted Nikita to love her back so much that she went to great lengths to make the relationship work. The fact that Nikita smelled good and could really dance contributed to Fox falling for her, but when the relationship did not work, she went back to men. Fox is now married to Brian Green and they have three children.

Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood, since she has so far received three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and an Academy Award for various movie roles. At some point, Jolie was the highest paid actress in Hollywood - a sign of just how good she is. It would not be right to talk about Jolie without mentioning her humanitarian efforts, since she is a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), and she promotes causes such as women's rights, education, and conservation. Furthermore, Jolie is one of the most beautiful and one of the most influential women in the world, according to numerous media outlets. However, she is on this list because she had a public relationship with a woman called Jenny Shimizu. Jolie claimed to fall in love with her the moment she saw her, but her love life is full of men, since she has been married three different times to different men.

Gavin Rossdale

Gavin Rossdale is famous for being the lead singer for Bush, a rock band from London, England. In addition, Gavin plays the rhythm guitar and has a solo performance career. According to Hit Parader, Gavin is number 75 on their Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists list - a big achievement for any musician. Gavin received the 2013 British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement. This year, Gavin is one of the coaches on The Voice UK, which airs on ITV. Although he denied it for many years, Gavin and Peter Robinson were in a relationship for at least five years in the 1980s. In 2010, Gavin claimed that their relationship was an experimental part of growing up - sentiments that Robinson did not share, as he once referred to Gavin as the love of his life. Gavin married Gwen Stefani in 2002, and the two got divorced in April 2016, owing to irreconcilable differences.

Hugh Hefner

Hugh Hefner might be 91 years old, but he is still a playboy - after all, he is the founder and the chief creative officer of Playboy, which remains one of the leading Men's lifestyle magazines in America and the world. Hefner stars in The Girls Next Door, a reality series that focuses on the lives of the girls that live with him in the Playboy Mansion - his life and history are what he likes referring to as an "open book" because everyone knows that he is a womanizer and a party animal, qualities that have led many to refer to him as a sex icon. However, Hefner is on this list because he first had a sexual encounter with a man in an unnamed Chicago bar, which went on for a period that remains unspecified. We are not aware of whether he ever went through the experience again, but we are sure that his attraction to women is still at its peak.

Michael Glatze

Anyone who has good knowledge of how the gay community has evolved since the late 90s will tell you a lot about Michael Glatze, the man this community once referred to as their hero. However, today Glatze is a "villain" according to most people advocating for LGBT rights, because he abandoned their cause and is now a Christian who believes that the gay lifestyle is not acceptable in the Christian faith. Glatze was a very influential LGBT rights activist who, together with Benjie Nycum, authored the XY Survival Guide in 2000, and co-founded the Young Gay America and its magazine. However, Glatze received a lot of media coverage when he denounced homosexuality, following a health scare that turned out curable. Time magazine quoted him saying that the gay movement does not understand just how normal the children in the next generation want to be. Glatze has received media coverage on several shows and outlets, detailing his journey to becoming straight and the role of God's power in it.

Madonna

Madonna is possibly one of the most accomplished celebrities on this list, owing to the success of her music career earning her the moniker "Queen of Pop". Her success has come largely to her boldness in pushing the boundaries of her music and videos, and her ability to reinvent herself while maintaining autonomy in the industry. When it comes to her personal and relationship life, we cannot say that they have been as successful as her music, because she has been in and out of two marriages so far, and has been in numerous relationships. In the sea of the men that Madonna has been in relationships with, apparently model Jenny Shimizu was her romantic partner for a while. Although the jaw-dropping kisses, she gave Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards shed a bit of light on her sexuality, she is straight and has six children - four of whom are adopted and two are with different men.

Donnie McClurkin

Donald Andrew McClurkin, Jr. (Donnie McClurkin) is one of the most successful gospel musicians in the world today, who also happens to be the senior pastor at Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport, New York. Donnie is a great gospel artist since, in his career so far, his music has won him one NAACP Image award, one Dove award, two Soul Train awards, two BET awards, ten Stellar awards, and three Grammy awards. Donnie is on this list because he is never afraid of sharing the struggle that he had with the gay lifestyle when he was growing up. Since Donnie was shy, athletically inept, socially withdrawn, and was surrounded by "a sea of women" when he was young, he felt as if he had more in common with women than men. These factors contributed to the reinforcement of his attraction to men, but he explained that his involvement in this lifestyle was "hell on earth" for him. Donnie rejected this lifestyle, accrediting the change to the power that God has to change and deliver people.

Dennis Jernigan

Singer-songwriter Dennis Jernigan is a contemporary Christian musician, who is on this list because he has a history of same-sex relations. According to Jernigan, he found himself attracted to people of the same sex because he believed that his father had rejected him when he was young. He says that he was delivered from this lifestyle when he attended a concert in Norman, Oklahoma. Jernigan thereafter developed a ministry where he shares his experiences in churches and other locations, to give hope to people who want to break out of lifestyles that they feel they are not comfortable with. Although most people still refer to Jernigan as an ex-gay, he has on several occasions expressed his desire to be referred to as "God's new creation" instead. Jernigan lives and does his music in Oklahoma. He has been married to his wife for over 30 years, and they have nine children.

Bob Dixon

If you are familiar with most politicians in the United States, then Bob Dixon might not be a stranger to you, because he currently serves in the Missouri State Senate. Dixon, who is a Republican living in Springfield, Missouri, served in the House of Representatives for the first time in 2002, and from there served another four as the Majority Caucus Chairman and the House Transportation committee chair. During campaign periods, politicians tend to go to great lengths to expose the weaknesses and terrible pasts that their opponents try so much to hide. Therefore, information concerning how Bob Dixon spent a period of his life as a gay man came to light. When Bob was young, he was a victim of child abuse - a situation that led to confusion concerning his sexuality when he was a teenager. He spent five years living the gay lifestyle - a period in which he considered committing suicide by crashing his car off the road. Today, Dixon is happily living a heterosexual lifestyle with a wife and three beautiful daughters and is a regular at one of the local churches in Springfield, Missouri.

Antoine Dodson

Antoine Dodson is one of those celebrities whose season in the limelight did not last too long, despite becoming famous literally instantaneously. Dodson achieved his celebrity status when he reacted to a rape attempt on his sister in 2010, where he told people to hide their kids, wives, and husbands because the rapist in Lincoln Park is raping everybody. The video of his reaction was made into a song, which gained millions of views and even got to the 89th position on the Billboard Hot 100 music charts. For a period, Dodson would be paid to fly three to four times a week to different places in the United States, just to make appearances. In addition to revealing that he was a victim of rape, Dodson also claimed to be gay, but in 2013 he converted into a Hebrew Israelite, and announced that he was no longer gay and wanted a wife. Dodson married his wife in 2013 and they have a child together.

Chirlane McCray

Chirlane McCray is probably one of the most prominent women in New York City today, owing to the fact that she is a famous writer, a published poet, and is the current First Lady of New York City. In addition, McCray is an editor, political speechwriter, and communications professional. McCray became the second black First Lady of New York City in history when her husband Bill de Blasio became Mayor. The couple and their children moved from Park Slope, Brooklyn to Gracie Mansion, the New York City Mayors' traditional residence. When McCray was young, her family's move to Longmeadow, Massachusetts, was met with demands from other residents for them to move out because they were black. The racism and bullying she went through pushed her to write poetry, and it is through one of her essays she identified herself as a lesbian. Although she hates labels, it is clear that she is no longer a lesbian, but the wife of the Mayer of New York City.

Sheryl Swoopes

Basketball is huge in the United States, with the NBA (National Basketball Association) and the WNBA (Women National Basketball Association) being the highest levels of playing the sport that anyone in the world can get to. Although the NBA is far more popular than the WNBA, the amazing women in this sport are just as good as their male counterparts. One of the best women basketball players in history is Sheryl Denise Swoopes. Although she retired from the game, she is still one of our all-time favorite players, elected into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame last year. Sheryl was a WNBA MVP three times, she is one of the All Time Top 15 players in WNBA, and she has won three Olympic gold medals with her team. Despite having been married to her high school sweetheart and giving birth to their son, she came out as gay in 2005 and got into an intimate relationship with a woman. However, after breaking up with her female lover, she got into a relationship with Chris Unclesho and they got engaged.
