Just in case you needed another reason to want to be Tom Brady, the Superbowl MVP's post-victory celebration on a custom $2 million Wajer Yacht 55S vessel should do the trick.
Honoring his wife, model Gisele Bundchen, and her environmental efforts, Brady named his new yacht Viva a Vida and was certainly viva'ing in style when he purchased the mammoth schooner in December from Dutch maker Dorus Wajer.
The S in 55S essentially stands for "sport" as the creators have designed it all with the idea of more space for social-distanced entertaining with an outdoor gallery on the 53 foot overall deck. Down below, there are cabins suitable for up to four people and additional storage for luggage, supplies, gear, and a bevy of Superbowl rings - so many Superbowl rings.
If this seems like luxury at its finest, that's because it is. Brady's new ride has been referred to as "The Rolls Royce on Water" by its creator. On top of the ample space inside for those riding along, the vessel features four 3x Volvo Penta IPS 600 D6 435 HP engines each producing around 2,000 horsepower. It can hit speeds of 40 knots with an approximate range of 400 miles.
A two year $50 million Buc's contract helped make this purchase possible as Brady could have chosen any yacht he wanted. As first reported by Robb Report at the time of the purchase, Wajer has a reputation as “one of several high-end cruiser brands from the Netherlands that are considered fashion statements in European and increasingly U.S. marinas.” The report learned at the time that this particular model was only one of four 55S models currently in the United States today. In fact, it is one of only ten particular Wajer yachts in total around the world.
“We find it very important to listen to the wishes of our customers,” Dries Wajer, managing director of Wajer Yachts told Forbes. “We use this information to fuel the continuous innovation on our vessels. The Wajer 55 S is the logical continuation of the sales success of the Wajer 55, of which we have now sold more than 30.”
According to Yahoo Finance, Tom Brady's net worth exceed $200 million. It sounds impressive but, amazingly, is only half of that they report for his wife Gisele Bundchen. The NFL star's longevity in the league is unbelievable. The average NFL quarterback career spans 4.4 years. Tom has been going strong for twenty ever since his debut in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft . Due to this long-running career, major purchases like this one have become a feasible venture for the Brady Bunch.
