Getting into The Hollywood Scene

Ezra has started his journey in the film industry in 2008 when he was casts to play at Antonio Campos' Afterschool. His role is that of a teenager who accidentally filmed the drug-related deaths of his two classmates. He was then asked to prepare a memorial video for the two classmates that is when the conflict began. Right after his performance in his debut film, a lot of producers saw potential in him, so he was casts in another film the following year in City Island co-starring with Julianna Margulies, Steven Strait and Andy Garcia. Finally in 2010, he was cast to lead the film Beware the Gonzo and had a supporting role in the film Every Day. Both of these films have premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Soon, his name was becoming more and more familiar as he appeared in the BBC Films movie called We Need to Talk About Kevin in 2011 where worked with John C. Reilly and Tilda Swinton. One of his most memorable films was in 2012 when he played alongside Emma Watson and Logan Lerman in the movie adaptation of the novel The Perks of Being a Wallflower. His biggest break did not come until four years later when he was chosen to portray the role of Barry Allen as the Flash in the movie adaptation of the comics of the same name. He first appeared as Barry Allen as cameo at the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Finally Boosted His Career

Ezra got his breakthrough right after his cameo as Barry Allen in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016. That same year, he starred in the Suicide Squad as Barry Allen as well and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as Credence Barebone. His net worth of $3 million was mainly from his acting roles in different movies and TV dramas. He only started banking from acting when he got to play Barry Allen and garnering $3 million in the last five years is pretty impressive.

There was no confirmed news report regarding how much he was paid as Barry Allen in the DC movies but it is safe to assume that he was paid generously as these movies have grossed big time in the box office. The Suicide Squad alone raked in about $746 million in the box office. It was reported though that he is currently being paid about $20,000 to $25,000 from his TV appearances. In the last three years, he appeared as Barry Allen / The Flash in one episode of Arrow in 2020, he also did three episodes for The Stand and three episodes for the Invincible. He was reported to earn about $170,000 annually from doing these movies and all his money came from his acting jobs both in TV and movies. He also does brand endorsements as well as paid promotions for different brands.

Personal Life and What’s Next For Him

Miller came out as queer when he was still starting in 2012 however in an interview he did in 2020, he has stated that he does not label himself as queer. He does not identify himself as a man nor a woman, and he can barely identify himself as a human. He uses the pronoun they and them to refer to himself and pointed out his refusal to be gendered. He stated can be attracted to both genders and does not limit himself. In 2010, he dated Zoe Kravitz while they were filming for the movie Beware the Gonzo. He also revealed that he used to be in a polyamorous relationship with multiple people in 2018.

These information do not seem to bother the producers as well as the fans as multiple projects kept coming to him. Just last year, he starred in the film Zack Snyder's Justice League as Barry Allen and in Asking For It as Mark Vanderhill. This year will be his year as The Flash movie will be released and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will premiere this year as well.
