Cuban Spanish actress Ana de Armas has amassed a net worth of $4 million over the years. Ana Celia de Armas Caso was born in Santa Cruz del Norte, Cuba in April 30, 1988. She may not be the most recognizable name in the Hollywood but there is no denying that is she is in fact a rising star in the entertainment industry.
She was best known for her role in the television series The Boarding School starring as Carolina Leal Solis which she was part of from 2007 until 2010. She may not be a household name yet but she has a lot of notable performances and will soon conquer Hollywood. She was a fresh talent but is firm on the other side of the door of fame which will fling open any moment now.
Early Work In Cuban Entertainment
As a teenager who grew up in Cuba, de Armas had done a lot of projects in her country, she had a starring role alongside Álex González for the romantic drama titled Una rosa de Francia in 2006 which made a name for her in the Cuban show business. The Cuban actor Jorge Perugorría saw a potential in her acting and he suggested that the director of the Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón's drama consider de Armas for the role. The director then interrupted her audition in a school drama just to inform her that the role will be given to her. She then travelled to Spain to as part of the promotional tour for the movie and was then introduced to Juan Lanja who later became her Spanish agent.
After signing with Juan Lanja, she began doing Spanish projects such as El Edén Perdido in 2007 and even had a supporting role in the movie Madrigal which was filmed at night because she had no permission from her tutors from the drama school. When she turned 18, she finally moved to Madrid to further pursue her career. She then met with the casting director Luis San Narciso who saw her portrayal in Una rosa de Francia. Just after two months of being introduced to San Narciso, she was cast as Carolina in the teenage drama El Internado. She became popular with the audience and soon became a famous celebrity figure in Spain.
Transitioning To Hollywood
After doing a lot of projects in Spain, she then spent a few months living in New York City to study the English language. She was then persuaded by her agency to come back to Spain to star in a historical drama called Hispania for seventeen episodes from 2010 until 2011. While she was not working, she has allotted her free time to participate in numerous acting workshops by Theatre Company of Tomaz Pandur in Madrid. With a lot of encouragement from her family and friends, she decided to hire a Hollywood agent and then moved to Los Angeles to try her luck in the Hollywood industry.
When she arrived in LA, she has to start her career from scratch which was a difficult endeavor for her as she spoke very little English and often did not know what she was saying during her early auditions. She then spent the next four months studying the English language intensively because she does not want to be confined to characters meant specifically to the Latina actresses.
Breakthrough And Recognition
With her talent and determination to make it to the Hollywood industry, she had luck on her side as she snagged a role alongside Keanu Reeves in her first Hollywood movie ever. She starred in the erotic horror thriller movie titled Knock Knock in 2015 with Keanu Reeves. After her role in the Eli Roth movie, she was called by Reeves to star in the thriller movie Exposed which was directed and produced by Keanu Reeves himself. Soon, she started getting roles left and right including Todd Phillips's War Dogs alongside Miles Teller in 2016, she also did Hands of Stone that same year.
Since then she has been very busy with her projects, she is doing a movie at least once a year and 2019 is her busiest as she did five movies that year. She continues to work hard to earn a name for herself and with her hard work and talent, she was able to amass wealth worth $4 million. It is a well deserved money as she has been working she was a teen.
