If you're looking to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home in theatres, you may have to spend a pretty penny, as scalpers are trying to charge as much as $25,000 for a single ticket.

According to IGN, as soon as the tickets went on sale, various eBay listings began popping up, trying to re-sell them for thousands of dollars. Though the actual price of the tickets retail for around $20, many of the listings wanted quadruple that price at $100, though a few were asking tens of thousands of dollars.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It stars Tom Holland playing the titular character and his real-life girlfriend Zendaya playing his onscreen love interest.

The film is considered a sequel to both Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) and follows Spider-Man's life now that he's unmasked.

It's unclear how much Spider-Man: No Way Home costs to produce, but speculation suggests it's at least as much (or even more) as its predecessors.

Giant Freakin' Robot explains that 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming had a budget of $175 million and went on to make $880 million in global profits. 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home had a slightly smaller of $160 million but was even more profitable, raking in $1.13 billion across the world.

It's likely that No Way Home has a similar or even higher budget. Given the success of the last two Spider-Man movies, it wouldn't be far-fetched for the film to have a budget of $200 million.

Earlier this year, a rumor started on Daniel Richtman's Patreon page that suggested Sony and Marvel were concerned over No Way Home's large budget, which supports the theory that they may have spent even more on the most recent film.

Regardless of the film's budget, it's already on track to make an impressive profit. Variety reports that the film has already shattered pre-sale ticket records for the year. Many online retailers reported that their sites crashed when the pre-sale tickets became available on November 29th due to the high demand.

Now, with the No Way Home pre-sale tickets becoming scarce, people appear willing to fork over even more money than the market price to get their hands on tickets – at least, that's what scalpers hope. But would you spend $25k on a movie ticket?

Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to debut in theatres on December 17th.
