Canadian actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader in the Star Wars media franchise Hayden Christensen has just doled out a speck under $2.7 million for an eye-catching cedar-clad cabin on the outskirts of Los Angeles, one that’s tucked far, far away in a secluded pocket of Altadena

According to Dirt, After the place popped up for sale with a nearly $2.2 million ask this past October, it didn’t take any Jedi mind tricks for the 41-year-old Canadian actor to acquire his new nest in a bidding war. Records show he simply needed a nice stash of cash — around $500,000 over the asking price, to be exact.

Originally built in the early 1980s, the mountaintop home recently underwent an extensive renovation at the hands of previous owner William Hunter of William Hunter Collective. In its current iteration, the single-story structure features three bedrooms and two baths in a little more than 1,900 square feet of living space accented throughout with the original exposed-truss ceilings and concrete floors, plus white oak shiplap walls and even bespoke brass-knob light switches. Large Douglas fir-trimmed windows frame picturesque views of the surrounding Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains.

A gated fence and an attached two-car garage front the single-story structure, which is highlighted by a sunken light-filled living room adorned with a vintage wood-burning stove and built-in seating. A gourmet kitchen is outfitted with a spacious eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances and a cozy breakfast nook, while an adjacent dining area holds a table that doubles as a ping-pong setup, with paddles stored on the walls as art when not in use.

Sequestered in the rear of the house, the primary suite boasts a bath equipped with a soaking tub and custom vanity that can be closed up for more counter space. Another bedroom has a duo of built-in beds with hidden storage compartments on one side, and an integrated double desk on the other. Outdoors, the grounds are landscaped with native plants and span almost a quarter of an acre, and host an inviting wood-burning, Japanese cedar soaking tub.

Elsewhere on the property is a detached “treehouse” that’s ideal for use as an office, studio or meditation/yoga space. There’s also plenty of hiking trails just steps away.
