After watching the former President of the United States, Barack Obama, eating wild salmon in Alaska and iconic British model, Cara Delevingne, learning how to release herself in a forest, Bear Grylls has brought new celebrities back in the wild.

Running Wild With Bear Grylls, National Geographic's survival skills reality television starring British adventurer, Bear Grylls, is premiering its sixth season on 20 April.

The groundbreaking show brings a different celebrity every new episode on a weekly basis. Bear Grylls then teaches the A-listers survival skills along his adventures in the wild.

The new season will include: The award-winning American TV and radio personality Bobby Bones and fiancée Caitlin Parker, the Emmy Award-nominated actor, Terry Crews, Friends From College actor Keegan-Michael Key, Captain America actor Anthony Mackie, the former professional racing driver and champion Danica Patrick, the award-winning actor Danny Trejo, and The Office star, Rainn Wilson.

When asked about what episode of the new season particularly made an impression on him, the 46-year-old survivalist told Forbes: "Danny Trejo really impressed me with his persistence and ability to keep going through the terrain and the many challenges despite facing heat stroke at one point."

He added: "He is the oldest guest that we have ever had on Running Wild, yet his story is mind blowing. To listen to his life and guide him through the wild was an experience I will never forget."

Viewers can expect to watch some of their celebrities trade their luxurious homes for some extreme environments each week. They will have to face some of their worst fears and test their limits, under the guidance of Grylls.

The TV show star will push these celebs out of their comfort zones by traveling the world. Grylls will take his superstars guests from the deserts of Utah, all the way to the Dolomites of Italy, as well as the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.

The 39-year-old former IndyCar driver, Danica Patrick, was even shown eating a scorpion in a new Running Wild With Bear Grylls teaser. In a post published to her Instagram she wrote: "Holy moly I am so excited for this to finally be out today!!!! I had such a scary amazing time with Bear Grylls for his show." She added: "Basically I did everything that scares me the most. Go figure. but right on the other side of fear is growth! Thank you for teaching me not only to go do that thing that scares you but do it RIGHT NOW!"

Bear Grylls revealed that he wanted to show his audience that anything is possible and one should never give up. "Many of my guests this year came on the show to prove to themselves that they could survive out there and to learn some cool skills and to test their mettle a little," he said.

The professional survivalist admitted his impressiveness with his celebrity guests, and hoped his viewers would feel inspired by his very exciting show.
