We have witnessed the formation of historic boy bands since the beginning of time, be it The Beatles, One Direction, or BTS. The formation of bands in the music industry began in the 80s and continues to this day. Fans welcome a stage with members of a band based on ties of brotherhood. This also may be one of the reasons why it is heartbreaking to see one’s favorite band split up. For example, fans mourned globally when One Direction announced that the members are now going to launch their solo careers. However, even after bands split up, their legacy remains intact. In other cases, some members get disbanded as they start focusing on their solo careers, while at other times, the band moves on without one or more members.

The following is a list of the richest boy bands of all time.

Backstreet Boys

The Backstreet Boys were a huge success in the 1990s with their mixture of hip-hop, pop, and rhythm & blues. According to Forbes, they made about $60 million in 2000, which turned them into the third highest-paid band of that year.

Collectively, The Backstreet Boys had a worth of about $210 million. The band members were Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. The pop stars were also worth millions, mostly ranging from $35-45 million. For example, Nick’s net worth was about $35 million, and Kevin’s was $40 million. Howie, AJ McLean, and Brian were worth about $45 million.

One Direction

The story behind the formation of the boy band One Direction is one of a kind. The boys met on a reality TV show called X-Factor as they were individual contestants. Sadly, they could not win the first time as individuals, but instead, they formed a musical band that later achieved great success.
