American actress. Best known for her work in Black cinema, Long rose to prominence after starring in the film Boyz n the Hood, and for her portrayal of Beullah "Lisa" Wilkes on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Nia Long recently split with longtime fiancée Ime Udoka, amid very public accusations that the now-suspended Boston Celtics head coach had an inappropriate relationship with the team’s travel planner. But the veteran TV and film actress has already made strides toward a fresh residential start, having moved away from the couple’s shared Boston home to newly purchased midcentury modern digs in L.A.’s Hollywood Hills.

Records show the 52-year-old Brooklyn, N.Y., native — probably most known for her role in “The Best Man” movie franchise — doled out nearly $3.7 million for the four-bedroom, four-bath residence in early November, snagging a slight $45,000 discount in the process, per Dirt.

Originally built in the late 1950s, the stucco structure has since undergone an extensive renovation, most notably converting the former pinkish exterior to all white. Inside, just over 2,000 square feet of split-level living space boasts stylish interiors rife with new hardwood floors, high post-and-beam ceilings, skylights, clerestory windows and designer light fixtures, plus a sound system that extends to the outdoors, per Dirt.

Nestled amid a secluded cul-de-sac, on a fenced and gated parcel of land spanning less than a quarter-acre, the home is described in the listing as a “peaceful private retreat.” A serene front courtyard holding a decorative fountain empties out at dark blue double front doors, which are neatly encased in a striking wood surround and open into a wide entry foyer adorned in the same moody hue.

From there, a floor-to-ceiling wood-burning fireplace with a Mutina tile and terrazzo-clad hearth serves as the focal point of a light-filled living room, which has sliding glass doors spilling out to a partially covered concrete patio ideal for al fresco dining and lounging. Tucked off to the side is a small den lined with a built-in wall unit painted in a bright green shade, and other highlights include a windowed dining area that connects to a wood-covered kitchen outfitted with a breakfast bar and Bertazzoni appliances.

Elsewhere is a spacious upstairs master retreat that comes complete with a seating area, an enclosed balcony overlooking the treetops, a walk-in closet, and an inviting bath equipped with dual vanities, a soaking tub and shower. Outdoors, the grounds have been newly landscaped by Johnston Vidal Projects, and are spotlighted by a saltwater pool and spa flanked by a wood sundeck on one side and sunken fire-pit lounge area on the other.
