Gomez has been tapped to host the event, and she will also be joined by other big names in the industry.

On her Twitter account, the “Lose You To Love Me” singer urged all Americans to work together to provide vaccines for everyone amid the pandemic.

Prince Harry and Markle also released a joint statement saying that giving all Americans access to Covid vaccines can be very beneficial.

“Over the past year, our world has experienced pain, loss, and struggle – together. Now we need to recover and heal – together. We can’t leave anybody behind. We will all benefit, we will all be safer, when everyone, everywhere has equal access to the vaccine. We must pursue equitable vaccine distribution and, in that, restore faith in our common humanity. The mission couldn't be more critical or important,” they said.

Vax Live is also encouraging businesses to donate dollars for doses and for pharmaceutical companies to make vaccines available at reasonable prices.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also been encouraging the private sector to make donations to the Covax scheme, which is co-led by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Their aim is to ensure that vaccines are distributed fairly across the United States and for both the rich and the poor to have equal access to it.

As of late, more than 1 billion vaccines have already been administered worldwide.

Meanwhile, Vax Live will feature performances from Foo Fighters, J Balvin, HER, and Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder. Other special guests include Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, Jimmy Kimmel, David Letterman, and more.

Biden’s wife, Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will join forces in promoting the “We Can Do This” initiative so that individuals and families will have an increase confidence in the COVID-19 vaccines.

Other guests will include Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic.

The concert will be recorded this coming Sunday at the SoFi stadium, and it will air on Monday.

This isn’t the first time that Global Citizen is partnering with influential individuals for a cause. Last year, they also held a virtual concert to benefit healthcare workers who are risking their lives to help patients suffering from the deadly coronavirus.
