Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were declared legally single earlier this year, but the exes are continuing to navigate the division of their assets. And things may be getting complicated. According to a new report, Kanye is hoping to have their prenup thrown out and would like a substantial pay day from his ex-wife.
"She's very aware that he could be knocking on her day at any point, and the chances of him coming to the negotiating table for anything less than $1 billion are pretty slim. That's just how he rolls," a source told Radar Online.
"Kanye still has a ton up his sleeve that he could use against Kim, and she knows that," they continued.
The source added Kim is considering a restraining order since she worries Kanye may "show up announced anytime, especially as their formal visitation arrangements are in flux right now."
They also said that Kanye continues to harass her and her family member (he’s called them out on social media publicly, too).
"Kanye tries to call Kim and her family members all the time and sends endless texts from different numbers when he can't get through. He's just relentless," they said. "In his mind, they're all out to get him and he won't stand for it."
Kanye’s finances are in shambles amid his controversial behavior. He’s lost a variety of partnerships due to his antisemitic and anti-Back comments, including his billion-dollar deal between Adidas and Yeezy.
In October, Adidas announced it was cutting ties with the rapper following his most recent antics. Shortly after, Forbes claimed Ye had lost his billionaire status due to the deal’s termination.
Kanye later stated that he lost $2 billion in one day after multiple brands and companies dropped him.
The source says that money isn’t the only thing Kanye and Kim are fighting about; they’re also embroiled in a custody battle over their four kids.
Kim is reportedly requesting full custody of the children, who don’t have a regular vits with their father. Kanye has admitted that Kim has their kids 80% of the time, but he’s also accused her ex of kidnapping their children on numerous occasions as well as keeping them from him.
"At this point, all options are on the table for Kim," they explained. "She will do everything she needs to protect herself and her family."
The insider added that Kim is doing her best to keep their children hidden from Kanye’s controversial behavior. "They are being shielded from all this drama as much as possible," they continued. "She desperately wants this to end peacefully. But it's on Kanye to get himself together."
Despite the ongoing situation, Kim has been relatively quiet about her ex-husband.
