The upcoming movie House Of Gucci, is a highly-anticipated crime movie, based on the book of the same title, and it depicts the real-life crime drama of the Gucci family. The storyline is slightly sensationalized to better suit the purposes of entertainment through film, but the  remains closely knit with the the real-life saga of the Gucci family. The movie saw the Gucci name glamorized when mesmerized fans saw a photograph that Lady Gaga posted to her Instagram page. Looking chic and sophisticated, the tone of the movie was set.  However, The National News reports that when the real Gucci family caught a glimpse of other scenes and actors from the film, their perception changed entirely. They're now up in arms and are completely disappointed by the misrepresentation of their family, and their brand.

The first glimpses of the movie and its characters were made available by Lady Gaga. She boasted her pride at being part of this incredible film by putting up a photograph of herself with Adam Driver, and they both looked absolutely dapper. They are playing the roles of Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci, respectively, and the image that was posted seemed completely aligned with what most people would expect when they imagine the legacy of the Gucci family.

Dressed in form fitting black clothing with gold chains around her neck and a fluffy chapeau atop her head, Lady Gaga is the true depiction of regal elegance, and Patrizia had no complaints.

Adam Driver looked stunning as Maurizio Gucci, wearing one sweater with another casually tied around his waist with an air of casual sophistication about him. Based on this introductory image, there were no issues. However, when images of Al Pacino and Jared Leto surfaced, the Gucci family had a whole lot to say.

Aldo Gucci, played by Al Pacino, played a key role in the Gucci family's international enterprise. Paulo Gucci, was the original creator of the double-G logo that has become famous worldwide as the symbol of this exquisite brand, and he is being played by Jared Leto. They were powerful, attractive men, and in the eyes of the Gucci family, they are not being portrayed properly within the movie.

The Gucci family isn't commenting on whether they believe this movie was inappropriately cast, or if it is simply the way the characters are being depicted that is the problem, but they are definitely taking issue with the overall aesthetics that are being "misrepresented," in association with their name.

According to Games Radar, Patrizia Gucci described Jared Leto's depiction as; "horrible, horrible. I still feel offended." When asked to comment on Al Pacino, she replied by saying;  "My grandfather was a very handsome man, like all the Guccis, and very tall, blue eyes and very elegant. He is being played by Al Pacino, who is not very tall already, and this photo shows him as fat, short, with sideburns, really ugly. Shameful, because he doesn’t resemble him at all."

The Guardian goes on to quote her as saying she was "truly disappointed. " She went on to state; "I speak on behalf of the family. They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system… Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything, but there is a borderline that cannot be crossed."

The movie is set to release this November, without any comment as to whether or not changes will be implemented based on negative feedback from the Gucci family
