Kenneth Copeland

Updated, March 2024: On March 12th, BaptistNews.com reported that Benny Hinn had spent much of the "last two months" visiting Ghana (in January) and Kenya (in February). The site added:

"[Hinn's] health and wealth gospel was well received in the African countries. In Nairobi, his Healing the Nation Crusade filled Nyayo Stadium beyond capacity Feb. 24 and 25. His ministry website reports:

"'More than a half-million people jammed the 150,000 seats inside Nyayo Stadium as well as the overflow area outside the huge facility, extending far into the surrounding areas.'"

On March 17th, Hinn tweeted footage of one of his appearances in Kenya:

Benny Hinn was born in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel, and has been recognized internationally for his purportedly miraculous healing powers, which always happen to be televised.

These alleged displays of God's healing power are known as "Miracle Crusades."

However, the revelation of Hinn's financial charge for these "healings and deliverances" landed him under scrutiny, as a "prosperity preacher," and for "selling the gospel for profit."

In April 2021, Hinn's church was taken to court by Mail America for an alleged $3.1 million in unpaid bills, which Hinn disputed.
