Death is never pleasant to speak on, especially when it's only the second week into 2022. On Sunday, January 9, one of the most lionized stand-up comedians, actors, and television hosts, Bob Saget, passed away at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, FL at only 65 years old. For any millennials born in the 1980s into the 1990s, he would be most remembered for his role in the family-favorite sitcom, Full HouseTMZ stated that the late comedian was found by the hotel's security. The Sheriff's Department was then notified around 4 PM and arrived on the scene, after which they pronounced Saget dead. However, the cause of death is still unknown.

Bob Saget's death has come as a huge surprise in Hollywood, and more so to his fans for who he was busy on the road entertaining and doing shows. His last show was on the night before his death in Jacksonville at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. His tour across the Florida state began in September 2021 and was scheduled to end in May 2022. He is now the eighth celebrity to have passed away at the beginning of 2022, joining actor Sidney Poitier, director Peter Bogdanovich, actress Kim Mi-soo, Christian singer Jay Weaver, Robert Bruce, Max Julien, and former NFL coach Dan Reeves on the list.

As previously mentioned, he acquired worldwide fame with the role of the family patriarch on the ABC sitcom, Full House. With the first episode aired on September 22, 1987, Saget starred as Danny Tanner, a San Fransico sportscaster who recently lost his wife and get the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse (John Stamos), and comedian friend, Joey (Dave Coulier). The sitcom lasted for 8 seasons and was the reason for the acting careers of many celebrities, such as Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, and the beloved Olsen Twins, Mary-Kate and Ashley.

At the time of his death, Bob Saget's net worth stood at $50 million, a financial empire he built with many years of acting, directing, stand-up comedy, and talk show hosting. A few of these gigs include his long-standing time on Full House, from 1987 to 1995. Then, more than 20 years later, the show was revived in 2016 on Netflix as Fuller House, in which Saget did frequent guest appearances.

His television appearance only grew thanks to his America's Funniest Home Videos, who picked Saget as their first host during the 1990s. His first show began in 1989 and lasted eight seasons until his departure in 1997. But Saget didn't stop there! Remaining busy even after reaching celebrity status, he also narrated as Ted Mosby on the CBS sitcom, How I Met Your Mother.

There is no doubt that Bob Saget will be missed by fans, co-stars, and comedians the world over. Celebrities such as Jim Carrey, Josh Radnor, George Wallace, Kathy Griffin, and Tom Arnold all gave their condolences to the legendary comedian.
