Demi Lovato has been topping the headlines lately, marking her epic return to the world of entertainment after a few very tumultuous years. The Early Years

Demi Lovato was a child star by definition. Between 2002 and 2004 she played the role of Angela on Barney and Friends. She then took on the role of Charlotte on the show As The Bell Rings which led to a starring role on The Disney Channel's Camp Rock. Shortly thereafter, was her involvement with Sonny With A Chance as well as Princess Protection Program. The opportunities kept knocking at her door, and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam signed her on.

Truly growing up in front of the cameras, Demi Lovato went on to debut her singing career in 2008 with the release of her very first album titled Don't Forget. Those who didn't recognize Lovato from her acting roles soon discovered her crisp voice and her incredible singing talents.

The Tell Me You Love Me World Tour raked in $20 million for Lovato, but it had to be cut short due to ongoing issues with addiction.

She went on to earn millions of dollars through tours, merchandise sales, and album sales and streaming.

Revenue Streams

Proving to be a savvy artist, Demi Lovato diversified and began accepting and exploring a variety of other avenues to generate more wealth. While music takes the hat and has produced the most income, she has also participated in a series of other highly successful projects.

Endorsements have played a huge role in her financial success. Demi Lovato has represented the likes of Fabletics, CORE Hydration, TalkSpace, and Ember.

Cheatsheet reports that; "Lovato also makes money from books sales. In 2013 she released the book Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year. The book became a New York Times best-seller. The following year, she released a journal based on the book called Staying Strong: A Journal."

She has also earned roughly $2 million each year from her appearances as a judge and mentor on The X Factor, which proved to be a lucrative trade off for her time.

A Time Of Crisis

During her rise to fame from child star to successful $40 million dollar woman, Demi Lovato experienced some troubled times. She was candid about the fact that she was feeling challenged by mental illness and revealed that she had issues with self harm and addiction.

On July 24th, 2018, those issues rose to the surface once again, and nearly cost Demi Lovato her life. A drug overdose left her in critical condition, with fans praying for her recovery. Jolted by the severity of this incident and humbled at being given a second chance at life, Demi Lovato has made a triumphant return to the world of entertainment, and has taken the reigns once again.

Her life story has been captured in her newly released documentary, Dancing With The Devil, and she has catapulted her name to fame once more.
