David Spade surprised one hard-working Burger King employee — who hasn’t missed a day of work in 27 years — with a $5,000 donation. The fast-food worker, named Kevin Ford, gained viral fame after he posted a video thanking the company for recognizing his loyalty with a paltry gift bag. The comedian became one of many patrons to donate to a GoFundMe set up for the unwavering worker, which now tops $100,000.

According to a GoFundMe set up by the worker's daughter, the staunch staffer started working for the company as a single father in a bid to win custody of his two children. Ford’s daughter, Seryna, explains that as their family grew and her father remarried he decided to stay with the company “because of the amazing health insurance.”

She added that the job helped get all “four of his daughters through high school and college with full healthcare coverage.”

“My dad continues to work here, because though he does look young, he is coming up on retirement age and leaving would cost him his retirement,” she continued. “In no way are we asking for money or is he expecting any money but if anyone feels like blessing him he would love to visit his grandchildren.”

David Spade took notice of the unwavering worker’s dedication to the job, and he generously donated $5,000 to the employee's GoFundMe — along with a personal message.

“HOLY S—T Dude!!!” the extraordinary employee said in response. “Cannot Believe This!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! For even watching the video! I love you my brother!!! Much love and God bless...LLP”

Ford joked that he “might be able to take a day off” in a follow-up message, to which Spade quipped: “Wait ill year 30.”

“Thank you again sir, you’re the best have a great day,” Ford added.

By Saturday, the GoFundMe page created for the loyal laborer had already surpassed $100,000 and showed no signs of slowing down. Nearly 2,5000 people had chipped in to help reward Ford for his hard work after the company dropped the ball on his gift — which included a movie ticket, some candy, and a few pens.
