American businessman Dana White, who serves as president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, a global mixed martial arts organization. Dana White is a protagonist who is greatly admired for his kind demeanor toward others. Most of his admirers praise his character, and many look to him as their inspiration. Fans will be astonished to know that Dana White recently gave a $10,000 donation to a Muay Thai fighter who tragically lost both of his legs.

Dana White opened his pocket and gave $10,000 after being moved by the tale of a Muay Thai fighter striving to return to the ring after losing both of his legs in a terrible workplace accident last year, according to TMZ Sports reports.

The fighter's name is John Esposito and back in December 2021, his life changed forever while he was doing his job as a road worker.

John Esposito is a fighter, and back in December 2021, while performing his duties as a road worker, his life underwent a drastic turn. In the video, he shares what happened to him on Dec. 20, when he was struck by a passing car and pinned against a trailer while filling potholes with three other Somerset County public works employees.

“When I was laying there in the hospital, I realized I have two paths ahead of me. I can mope and cry about it, but what’s that going to do for me, or I can learn and adapt,” Esposito, of South Bound Brook, told NJ Advance Media.

“Of course, I still have my moments. Muay Thai, I think, helped me a lot. It’s all about perspective. If you look at it as your life’s over, that’s what it is going to be. Just like positive thoughts, your negative thoughts can manifest into reality,” he said.

He is getting instructed on using hand controls to drive and even doing pad work, a boxing training exercise, at his gym in Dunellen.

Esposito is vowing to return to the ring and drawing inspiration from a Texas boxing league for amputees, though he realizes competing in Muay Thai is likely no longer an option.

“Right now, I just don’t think there’s any commission that would allow that. Believe me, if there’s a way to keep doing Muay Thai, I would certainly do that,” he said.

“I want to start getting into boxing,” added Esposito.

Esposito, whose legs were amputated above the knees, uses hand crutches and recently transitioned to using two canes. He is walking 20 feet at a time without assistance. He said he is determined to accompany the group for at least part of the fundraising walk Saturday.

Liam Tarrant, the founder and president of The Muay Thai Project, and friends Chris and Sarah Romulo launched a GoFundMe to support Esposito on his road to recovery after learning about his struggle. After Tarrant discussed the situation on UFC fighter Angela Hill’s “Ceremonial Weigh-In” podcast, White decided to donate $10,000 to the cause.

Tarrant informs that GoFundMe has already surpassed its initial goal and is getting close to $30,000 thanks to White’s kindness and other donors. According to Tarrant, the money would ultimately be used to pay Esposito’s recovery-related expenses “in the coming months & years.”

“Fighting is the loneliest sport in the world, but we’re letting our brother know that he isn’t alone on his journey. We’re all in his corner.”
