Coleen Rooney, the wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, is set to sign a $1.3 Million deal with Lorton Entertainment to produce a film called Wagatha Christie, a documentary exposing the pieces of evidence Rooney gathered against Rebekah Vardy. Coleen Rooney is currently in a legal battle at the High Court with Rebekah Vardy after the alleged leaking false stories from her private Instagram to the public. Rooney aims for the documentary to help the public make up their minds regarding their battle.

The documentary Wagatha Christie will start filming on the New Year, where Rooney plans to present all the pieces of evidence she has gathered. The said documentary will be produced by Lorton Entertainment, the same producer of the football documentary about Wayne Rooney called Rooney. This is the reason why Rooney has maintained her silence throughout their legal battle. The viewers will see the pieces of evidence that Rooney forensically gathered through her online sleuthing. The film will also show why Coleen Rooney is convinced that Rebekah Vardy was the one who leaked the stories herself.

The decision to make the documentary instead of exposing all the evidence to the public is a long and complicated process for Rooney. She wants to take her time and determine the best next steps she will take. After finishing the film, she felt very strongly about the case and decided to share it with the public.

Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy's feud started in October 2019 after Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking fake stories to the newspaper about her private life. Rooney added that Vardy made up stories on the Instagram stories she posted on her Instagram. The feud was fueled further after Coleen revealed that she was setting traps to see who was responsible for the leaks, which earned her the name Wagatha Christie. Rooney took a screenshot of a series of stories where only one person viewed them, and it was Rebekah Vardy's account.

Soon after these allegations, Rebekah Vardy defended herself and denied all the accusations of Rooney. Vardy also posted her denial on her social media. The husband of Rebekah, footballer Jamie Vardy, was also dragged into the case after Rooney asked the Premier League footballer to submit their phones for further inspection to be used as evidence. This request reached the High Court, and Rooney claims that it will establish the leakage of the fake stories to the media. Rooney's legal counsel also asked London's High Court to collect the phones of the friends and families of the Vardy family to be examined as well.
