Alexandra Daddario is expanding her property portfolio; the star of HBO’s The White Lotus has reportedly picked up an elegant Hancock Park Mansion previously owned by Shameless Creator John Wells.

According to Yahoo!, the $7.3 million Daddario dropped for the property is just a dash more than the $7 million Wells purchased it for back in January of 2020. But it looks like Daddario got a decent discount as Wells put the property on the market for $7.9 million, a very fair deal for the newly renovated home in one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive neighborhoods.

Daddario, who had her breakthrough portraying Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson film series, has been well received as her role Rachel Patton in this year’s critically acclaimed satirical comedy The White Lotus. HBO has already announced plans for a second season.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Daddario and her partner, film producer Andrew Form, have been looking for a pricey new piece of real estate. Last December Daddario sold her Los Angeles midcentury bungalow in the Hollywood Dell neighborhood for $1.5 million.

Form was previously living with his wife, The Fast and the Furious actress Jordana Brewster, in a $10 million Brentwood mansion. After the couple recently finalized their divorce Brewster bought out Form’s 50% share in that house.

The couple's new space rests mid-block on one of Hancock Park’s most affluent streets, hidden behind manicured hedges. The house was built in 1927 and is evocative of “French Mediterranean” in style, with exquisite grounds “reminiscent of the French countryside.”

The architecturally elegant exterior contrasts with the decidedly contemporary and on-trend interior. According to Dirt, The home was designed by high-powered L.A. architect William Hefner and his wife, the late Japanese interior designer Kazuko Hoshino. It was Hoshino who designed the 5,300-square-foot home’s interiors, which have been described as restrained yet treading a narrow pathway between formal and casual. Subtle decorative touches throughout the mansion are described as complementing, not clashing, the properties overall clean lines.

Both Daddario and partner Form join a long list of celebrities who have called Hancock Park home. Some famous people who have called the exclusive neighborhood home include Boxing great Muhammad Ali, Singer Natalie Cole, actor Jake Gyllenhaal, and congresswoman Maxine Waters.
