So unless you have been living under a rock as of late you have probably heard a bit about Kesha. She was born in Nashville under the name of Kesha Rose Sebert, and she used to go by the name Ke$ha. She first came to prominence when she sang on Flo Rida's single "Right Round." Then her debut solo single "Tik Tok" topped the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, and her debut album Animal went platinum. She is also responsible for the hook to Pitbull's 2013 single "Timber."
But that isn't why she is really famous right now. Why she is really all over the news is because she is trying to get out of her contract with Sony, and her producer, who goes by Dr. Luke, because according to a lawsuit she filed he had "sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally abused Ms. Sebert to the point where Ms. Sebert nearly lost her life," all in the service of his being able to "maintain complete control over her life and career."
Well, that sounds kind of serious. This is all going to play out in the media soon, and in a big way. Until it does here's some background on Kesha. This is TheRichest's 15 Things You Don't Know About Kesha.

1 She Used to Spend a Ton on Glitter
Kesha used to wear glitter pretty much all the time. How did she keep it on, you ask? She used to bathe in beer and then put the glitter on - the beer was supposed to make it stick. At some point she realized this was not a good idea, at all. She then started using baby oil. She says she was spending over $2,000 dollars a month on glitter at that point. I don't know Kesha. Bathing in beer and spending two grand a month on glitter? It sounds like you might have needed a tiny bit of guidance from someone, probably just not Dr. Luke.
