10 Singers Who Are Really Hot, But Sing Worse Than You

via www.youtube.com

Alright guys, we all like hot women in music. Today, I’m presenting the most beautiful singers that have terrible voices. They may have good music and lyrics, but their voices are not so good. My last countdown of the hottest ladies in rock was for the good singers and hot ladies; this time around you’re not gonna get any good singing – sorry guys!

Some of these artists, particularly pop artists, may have great videos, and many of them dance at shows to entertain the fans. All of the stage costumes and hugely choreographed performances may look cool, but I’d rather see a talented musician that doesn’t have to rely on those things. Some of these women were also famous for other things before they became singers.

Some of them were actresses trying out music careers. Some may have been models who wanted to sing. I’m also including any genre, not just the pop singers. I’m also considering those singers that rely on Autotune and other audio technologies in their music. The Auto-tune may sound cool in some songs (i.e. Daft Punk), but these people are using it to try and compensate for a lack of real talent.

I’m not saying that having dance numbers is bad, they can be very entertaining to watch. I enjoy some of those things. For instance, Pink had a GREAT concert setup with lots of dance numbers, but she can actually sing, so the whole show wasn’t relying on the dancing for entertainment value. So, without further ado, I present the ladies that I think are hot, but are lacking in the talent department.

10. Hilary Duff

Taking it back a little bit, Hilary Duff made her big break starring in the Lizzie McGuire show in the early 2000s. Not going to lie, I watched it when I was a kid. She took the success from that show and tried her hand at singing. Hilary and her sister Haylie did a REALLY bad cover of “Our Lips Are Sealed” by the Go-Gos. It will make your ears bleed. It takes a great song and makes it sound like Disney channel pop music. She also did a horrible cover of “My Generation” that will make your ears continue to bleed. Take my word for it, these are bad. Warning: you can’t get those five minutes back if you watch or hear them.

9. Paris Hilton

This girl is famous for being an heiress. Paris Hilton has been a reality TV star, she was in a couple of movies, and in the mid-2000s she took up singing. She actually had a hit with “Stars Are Blind.” But, she didn’t have any other hits. She wore revealing outfits in the videos which probably landed her some views, but her voice is really bad. Her notoriety and her family’s money bought her that singing career, that’s for sure.

8. Ashlee Simpson

Here we have the sister of Jessica Simpson. Ashlee has not had nearly as much success as her big sister. She also is known for the lip-syncing snafu on an episode of Saturday Night Live. They played a different song than the one she was lip syncing. She just walked off the stage after that. Since then she hasn’t really been able to shake that incident. She made an appearance on Malcolm In The Middle and The View as a teen. She had a recurring role in the famous TV show Seventh Heaven. But her heart was always set on being a singer. Oh well.

7. Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale was a star on the Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Just like other Disney Channel actors, she embarked on her own singing career. Being in High School Musical led to a career with Warner Bros. She may have been popular, but she really doesn’t have that great of a voice. She also musically blasphemed when she did a horrid cover of “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley. That’s a song that you just don’t need to touch. Nobody wants to be Rick-Rolled with that awful rendition.

6. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is a singer and actress. She started out as a child star on the Barney Show in 2004. She is also known for being on the Disney Channel Series The Wizards of Waverly Place. She started singing by forming her own group, “Selena Gomez and the Scene.” She has managed to sell about three million albums during her singing career. But, she really doesn’t have that great of a voice. She sounds just like all of the other overly-produced Disney Channel singers. One good thing, she is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

5. Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is a fairly new singer. Her singing style is kind of breathy and weak. I am glad she doesn’t use Auto-tune, but it seems like she doesn’t have much of a range. You don’t really get high notes or low notes from her. The songs are almost monotone. Her first single, “Video Games,” came out in 2011, and it got over 20 million views on YouTube. She seems to be doing well. Her other singles include “Summertime Sadness” and “National Anthem.” Her third album made the Top 10 chart in the United States.

4. Carly Rae Jepsen

Carly Rae Jepson had a MEGA hit with “Call Me Maybe.” You probably still have it stuck in your head. It is rather catchy, and the video was cute. But, she doesn’t really have that big of a vocal range. Her career started when she was on the Canadian version of American Idol. She placed third in the fifth season of the show. She was recently on the Ellen DeGeneres show, where she sang “Call Me Maybe” with Justin Bieber. I’m glad my ears got saved from that abomination. She tried to have another hit with “I Really Like You.” But, even putting Tom Hanks in the video couldn’t save it.

3. Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne actually started out performing with Shania Twain. She turned toward the pop-punk rock style in the early 2000s. Her first album Let Go had her big hit “Sk8r Boi.” She sold over 20 million copies of the album worldwide. Her second album, Under My Skin, sold around ten million copies. She also made the press when she married Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Her music can be pretty catchy, but she doesn’t really have much of a vocal range. It’s just overly-produced pop.

2. Katy Perry

Katy Perry is definitely a superstar. I even like some of her songs. They can be very catchy. I loved the nice girl-power message behind “Roar.” I also enjoyed “Fireworks,” and I enjoyed playing that song in the Just Dance Wii games. I also liked the image of Snoop Dogg with an army of Gummy Bears in the video for “California Girls.” But, she doesn’t have that much of a vocal range. She has an okay voice, but it’s not that great. Her stage shows are pretty cool to watch, but that’s about it.

1. Britney Spears

Britney Spears is definitely a superstar. She debuted with her MEGA hit “Baby One More Time” in the late 90s, and her career took off. She was very popular into the 2000s. She had a pretty bad year in 2007; it was the year of her shaved head, and Chris Crocker could be seen on YouTube asking people to leave her alone. As popular as she is, she really doesn’t have that great of a singing voice. It’s kind of weak and nasally. Some of the songs are quite catchy, but she has to rely on elaborate dance numbers to carry her music video views.
