Zayn Malik has a new tattoo. His body is already covered with ink; however, this new one is significant because it is the image of Voldemort, the main antagonist from the Harry Potter film series and books.

The tattoo is of Voldemort in the Deadly Hallows movie as he says “I do not want to live forever.”

The Fader says the new tattoo adds to the artistic collection on Zayn’s body, which has been uncovered by many. The Voldemort character in the Harry Potter series is the evil antagonist in the stories. He is the archenemy of Harry Potter and according to the chronology in the stories, the mere mention of his name can destroy a wizard who attempts to say it.

This is why it is so interesting that Zayn made this tattoo. It is the classic battle of good against evil; and therefore, we can easily see its meaning.

According to the author J. K. Rowling, when pronouncing the name of Voldemort, the final letter of “t” is silent. This is much like the silent deadly power that the character maintains in the stories.

Voldemort is known as the “dark lord," the "one who must not be named," and the “you-know-who.” Symbolically, it is the representation of the anti-Christ found in Christianity as applied in the world of Harry Potter.

In the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Voldemort seizes the magic wand and starts a genocide against any person of Muggle-born ancestry including Harry Potter. In this film, Voldemort steals the most powerful wand ever created that they call the Elder Wand. Voldemort uses this wand twice to create a death spell and the first time almost kills Harry Potter. The second time Voldemort tries to use the spell, Harry Potter has enough strength to rebound the attack of the spell back to Voldemort to reverse its power.

Harry realizes in this film that death is inevitable. When Harry captures the Elder Wand, he puts it back into the tomb of Dumbledore and leaves it there for safe keeping.

The fight between Voldemort and Harry Potter from this story is represented in Zayn Malik's newest tattoo.
