Rollin' on the red carpet! Music legend Tina Turner stunned onlookers when she made a rarely-seen public appearance at the Aldwych Theatre in London for the grand opening of a musical based on her life.

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical includes Turner's rough start in life, growing up without much money and the abuse that she suffered at the hands of Ike Turner, all leading up to how she earned the nickname "The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll."

She was accompanied by her husband, Erwin Bach and she looked every part of a bonafide retired superstar in a sophisticated black blazer with matching pants, black lace fingerless gloves and a dainty necklace on a silver chain.

Turner has been photographed during a few outings in recent years, but her feet have not officially touched the rolled-out red carpet since 2013 before last week's event. She looked touched by the public turnout as she clutched her hand to her heart and also looked a bit teary-eyed in a sentimental moment after her red carpet arrival. So does this mean that she fully approves of the musical based on her life?

"Well first, of all, it's difficult to see someone else do what we did for 40 years. I'm a perfectionist, so I look a little bit critically," Turner said in an interview with BBC News. "But when I look and see it done so well, I feel proud. And I feel like I'm sending someone—sorry I'm getting emotional—I'm really sending someone out that's going to do a good job and make me proud."

Virginia native Adrienne Warren won the part of Turner in the musical. You might have seen Warren in Dreamgirls, Bring It On: The Musical and even Orange Is The New Black.

"I'm just so happy that she approves of our work and I'm just so excited to share this story, because she is absolutely the best, and I know that sounds cliche," Warren said of Turner.

We're happy to see this legendary lady out and about on the red carpet where she belongs. Congratulations on the musical, Tina!
