Drake & Cardi B Top Spotify's Most-Played Songs For Summer 2018

With summer coming to a close, we’re here to share with you the top summer songs that took over our road trips, nights out and backyard BBQ’s!

Spotify recently released their top tracks of this summer, and we are not the slightest bit surprised. With the highest number of streams, these three songs are undoubtedly summer hits that have been in all our heads for some time now.

Standing at number one is “In My Feelings” byDrake. Does KiKi love him? We’re not sure! But what we do know is that this song has blown up drastically since its initial release on June 1, 2018. Drake has been a chart-topper for years, and #InMyFeelings is no exception.

Not only has it been streamed over 393 million times, yes that’s right, 393 million, but the music video is just as popular. With over 100 million views on YouTube, the video starring Phylicia Rashad and Lala Anthony set the tone for the summer and had us all dancing.

Next on the list at number two is “Girls Like You” by Maroon 5 featuring Cardi B. This song, although not as upbeat as other songs we have been bopping to this summer, has racked in a whopping 293 million streams on Spotify and we can’t say we’re surprised. Anytime your driving around and turn the radio on, you're bound to hear this tune blasting a time or two. The music video gained a serious amount of views, how many? Try nearly 750 million! If that isn’t enough to get you at number two, we aren’t sure what is.

Coming in at number three is yet another track by Queen Cardi herself. “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin has been topping every chart there is! We can attest to “liking it” too, and according to Spotify, people definitely have been as well. With 289 million streams, Cardi takes the cake and snags the number three most streamed song on Spotify.

With other huge names from Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Clean Bandit, and many more, we can certainly say that this summer has been a major one in regards to music. Let us know if your thoughts and whether you agree with the top three!
