Veteran rapper Snoop Dogg has gotten himself some new ink following the Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship win on Sunday, per TMZ.

The Lakers beat the Miami Heat 4-2 in the NBA Finals to become 17-time NBA champs, which leaves them level with the Boston Celtics in that regard. Snoop had vowed to get a tattoo commemorating the team's milestone if they overcame all opposition in the playoffs and has made good on his promise with a visit to L.A tattoo artist Mr. Cartoon.

The hip-hop legend got a large drawing of Larry O'Brien championship trophy with the team's name running through the middle of the basketball at the top on his right forearm. Kobe Bryant's initials are just above his wrist, with the gates of heaven just above the trophy.

"As promised, the Lakers win the 'ship, I'll go get that tat," Snoop said in a video. "Anything for the Lakers, everything for the Lakers, all things for the Lakers. F**k the Clippers.

"That's championship sh*t - something the Clippers don't know nothing about!"

The Long Beach rapper also gave major props to Mr. Cartoon, who has also worked on a number of other celebrities, including 50 Cent and Slim Thug. "Only by the best man," he declared. "That's the only man who do my tattoos, the one and only. Mr. Cartoon."

As mentioned above, the Lakers took the Heat down in six games following a resilient display from the latter. Led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers won their first championship since Bryant carried them to the gold in 2010.

Bryant was the unfortunate victim of a fatal helicopter crash earlier this year. The former Lakers star won all five of his rings in Los Angeles and is considered to be the best to ever wear the purple and gold by many.
