Lots of actors and actresses have produced some great work, but it seems that many of them are actually critical of some of the films they have been involved in. One of the actors who falls into that category is Ryan Reynolds.
The actor might be extremely popular now, but that does not mean that he is pleased with everything he has ever worked on. Reynolds has been pretty open about why he does not think Green Lantern was a good film.
While he did say that he would take on the role again, there are many actors who would rather leave some of their roles in the past. Here are a few of them.
5 Shia LaBeouf – Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
Actor Shia LaBeouf starred in the first few Transformers films, and there was at least one of them that he was not a big fan of. LaBeouf has been very open with his disdain for the second film in the series, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.
But the actor also revealed some of the reasons why he thought it did not turn out as well as it should have. During the time that the movie was being filmed, some writers in Hollywood were on a strike, and LaBeouf believes that had an impact on the movie. “We were making our second movie in the middle of the writers’ strike. We had no script. We had to work with nothing. We literally had like 40 pages,” LaBeouf said.
4 Daniel Craig – Spectre
After filming the James Bond movie Spectre, actor Daniel Craig had some really odd comments about not wanting to play James Bond anymore. He basically said that there are a lot of terrible things he would rather do than star in another one of those movies.
“No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on,” said the actor when he was asked if he would be interested in making another film in the series. He then claimed that he would only do it for the money. Money must really talk, since he is set to play James Bond again.
3 Sally Field – The Amazing Spider-Man Films
Apparently, no one warned actress Sally Field that Aunt May is a supporting character in the stories that surround Spider-Man, and she was actually not very excited about playing that role in either of The Amazing Spider-Man movies.
Field seemed a bit disappointed that her character only existed to support Peter Parker, but that’s a bit of a strange thing to be upset about considering how important Aunt May and Uncle Ben are to the story.
Field never really thought this character was a big deal. She did not take out much time to prepare herself for the part, and she wasn’t very into the movies at all.
2 Mark Wahlberg – The Happening
The Happening was a fairly popular movie, but lots of people hated it, and one of them was actor Mark Wahlberg, who was one of the stars of the movie. When he met with actress Amy Adams for lunch one day, the two of them talked about that disaster film for a bit.
Adams was almost cast in the film, but she managed to stay away from it, which was probably a good decision in the long run, as it might have saved her career. But on the other hand, Wahlberg was not quite so lucky. He was in the movie, but he has admitted that it was bad.
1 Christopher Plummer – The Sound Of Music
Lots of people love The Sound Of Music, but actor Christopher Plummer has almost nothing but terrible things to say about that film. The actor played Captain Georg von Trapp in the movie, and it seems that this role was one of the most challenging ones Plummer has ever had.
Apparently, the actor did not like the movie simply because of how serious it is. “You had to work terribly hard to try and infuse some miniscule bit of humor into it,” said Plummer. It seems that his biggest problem with the movie was not the story itself. Instead, it was the challenges he faced while acting in it.
