Meghan Markle’s friend and matchmaker Misha Nonoo offered royal fans a behind-the-scenes look at her wedding with Prince Harry. The designer posted a slew of photos on social media from the ceremony, which took place last weekend inside St. George’s Chapel.
Nonoo began by posing in the white gown she wore for the wedding. Nonoo made the dress out of silk from Taroni, Italy and looked absolutely gorgeous on the day of the wedding. After the ceremony was over, Nonoo switched out the dress for a red jumpsuit that she rocked for the reception, which was held inside Windsor Castle.
According to People, Nonoo is thought to be the person who originally brought Markle and Harry together. The designer reportedly set them up on a blind date in the summer of 2016 and the rest is history. Markle and Nonoo have been friends for quite some time and were introduced in Miami. In talking about their friendship, Nonoo revealed in 2017 that Markle “is the coolest girl in the world.”
Apart from her own look, Nonoo shared a few pics of the actual wedding ceremony on social media. This includes some shots of the gardens inside Windsor Castle and the steps of St. George’s Chapel. The pictures offer a behind-the-scenes perspective that wasn’t featured in the media coverage.
Harry and Markle exchanged vows inside St. George’s Chapel on Saturday with 600 people looking on. The guest list featured quite a few celebrities from around the world and members of the royal family, including Queen Elizabeth II, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, and Prince Charles. Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, was also in attendance, though her father, Thomas, was not able to make it after suffering a health scare last week.
Markle did not have a traditional maid of honor. Instead, the former actress had her best friend, Jessica Mulroney, at her side during the ceremony. She also had Mulroney’s kids, Ivy, John, and Brian as page boys and bridesmaids.
After the wedding, Prince Harry and Markle headed back to their home in Kensington Palace. The couple decided not to have a traditional honeymoon until a later date.
Until then, Meghan Markle is excited to start her duties as an official member of the royal family. The two had their first royal event this week hosting a garden party in honor of Prince Charles’ 70th birthday. The party was held inside of Buckingham Palace.
