Oprah appeared on Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about everything she has been up to, including her time at Ellen’s 60th birthday bash. “I can’t remember in my life having that much fun”, Oprah said, referring to Ellen party.
The two queens of talk show sat down and reminisced about the birthday party, which also say about 90 percent of Hollywood’s coolest people including Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Bruno Mars, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Chrissy Teigen, and John Legend. Oh! Leonardo DiCaprio was also there, however, Oprah wouldn’t have been able to know even after talking with Leo for a few minutes.
Oprah explained to Ellen when famous people appeared on her own show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, “they looked like themselves,” meaning how you’d see them at events, or red carpet, however, Oprah continued “at your party, they’re all disguised.” So was Leo wearing a baseball cap for Oprah to not recognize him? Oh, wait.
This photo, courtesy of The Weeknd’s Instagram, shows Oprah talking to both The Weeknd and Leo, without knowing it just yet. After best friend Gayle had to tell Oprah she was, in fact, talking to The Weeknd and not some random stranger, another famous person came into the mix. According to Cosmo, Oprah could not recognize Leo at first and wondered if it was even Justin Timberlake. “I know it’s somebody…who is it?” she explained.
Turns out, Oprah used a clever tactic to figure out she was talking to Leonardo DiCaprio. She asked the then unknown man, “What WAS your favorite film?” his response “The Aviator”, and Oprah says, “Leonardo, you’re so funny!” What a whirlwind conversation, leave it to Oprah to figure out she’s talking to Leo without knowing she’s talking to Leo.
Oprah, who also surprised super fan Tiffany Haddish on the show, gabbed to Ellen about all the numbers she collected at her party. According to Oprah, she’s been texting a lot of famous people, “I got a lot of numbers”, she disclosed, and maybe one of them was from Leo himself!
