Of course, you can probably imagine that many of these outfits cost a pretty penny. In fact, there are some that cost a ton of pennies. In case you're wondering which of your favorite actresses have been worth the most walking down the red carpet, we've made a list. Here are the 10 most expensive dresses worn to the Oscars.

Anne Hathaway - $80,000

Anne Hathaway blew us all away in this red satin gown at the 2011 Oscars. Created by Valentino, Hathaway's dress cost a whopping $80,000. Yeah, that's probably more than your car, and this is the least expensive dress on the list. Also, that Tiffany & Co. necklace she's wearing was worth about $10 million. Yes, we're practically in Ocean's 8, and we're sure she had security on her for this event, too.

Julia Roberts - $95,000

Julia Roberts showed up at the 2001 Oscars in this simple, elegant, black and white gown. Although it appears simply stunning, it actually cost about $95,000. This woman took home the Oscar for Best Actress for Erin Brockovich, but she also stole the show because of that gorgeous Valentino gown. She also said that she wanted to pass this dress on down to her daughter. Don't we all wish our moms were famous actresses? Well, since they're not, you can catch this mom in her newest flick from 2018, Ben is Back.

Rooney Mara - $100,000

At the 2016 Academy Awards, Rooney Mara blessed the red carpet with this stunning lace dress. Created by Givency, Rooney Mara was worth upwards of about $100,000 that evening. She didn't take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Carol, but we think she had the most stunning dress of the night, so that counts for something, right? We're excited to see what this talented actress has to offer us in the coming years.

Jessica Biel - $100,000

Jessica Biel was looking elegant and beautiful in this simple Chanel dress at the 2013 Oscars. As we've learned, simple dresses cost just as much, apparently, because this sleek, sparkly gown was worth $100,000. We don't even want to know how much that jewelry was on top of it all, but it's safe to say she was a pretty pricey lady that evening. Jessica wasn't nominated for anything that year, but we always love her, and she is always slaying.

Kate Winslet - $100,000

It had been 10 years since the release of Titanic when Kate Winslet took the red carpet in 2007. Kate is timeless, and honestly we're pretty sure this dress will be, too. Created by Valentino, Kate stunned us all with this elegant mint green gown at the 79th Academy Awards. In fact, she claims it was picked out by her daughter. Clearly, she has some pretty good, although expensive, taste. Kate didn't bring home the win for Best Supporting Actress, but we did get to see an adorable reunion between her and Leo, so we'll count that as a win.

Charlize Theron - $100,000

Charlize Theron was stunning in white with this Christain Dior dress at the 2013 Oscars. While this gown was worth $100,000, those diamond cuffs on her wrist brought her entire look up to about $4 million. Yeah, we're sure she had her own personal security that night, and we're sure they were sweating bullets. Although Charlize wasn't nominated that year, she still blessed us with Prometheus and Snow White and the Huntsman leading up to this ceremony. She blows us away every year, though. Look out for her new film, Bombshell later this year with Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie.

Lupita Nyong'o - $150,000

In 2015, Lupita slayed us with this unique, elegant Calvin Klein dress. Apparently, this gown was made with over 6,000 pearls, so we're not surprised it cost about $150,000. Lupita wasn't even nominated that year, but she still captured everyone's attention on the red carpet. She was stunning, and we can't wait to see more of what this brilliant actress has to offer us. You can go re-watch Black Panther if you can't wait for this stunning woman's next movie.

Cate Blanchett - $200,000

Cate Blanchett has been slaying us year after year. However, she made a splash at the 2007 Oscars in this Armani Privé gown. Completed with Swarovski crystals, this dress was worth about $200,000. Again, this stunning and talented lady didn't take home the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Notes on a Scandal, but she did at least steal our hearts. We also wish we could steal that gown, but we doubt it'd look as good on us.

Nicole Kidman - $2,000,000

So far all of the dresses have been a couple hundred thousand dollars. So, let's make some room for Nicole Kidman. This bombshell knows how to draw all the attention, and she definitely did so way back at the 1997 Oscars. Yeah, we know she hasn't aged like even a day. This Christian Dior gown was worth a whopping $2,000,000. Six zeroes, you counted right. Nicole wasn't even nominated this year, but she definitely caught our attention. We're bowing down to this queen, and boy is she slaying. Again: look out for Bombshell, because we're more than excited for some brilliant and powerful ladies to hit the big screen together.

Jennifer Lawrence - $4,000,000

So while we're praising a $2 million dress, how about we double it. Yeah, that's right, in 2013, Jennifer Lawrence quite literally stole the show in this Dior Couture gown. She was the face of the brand at the time, so it makes sense she wore the most expensive thing they had. Oh yeah, she also tripped up the steps in this dress on her way to collect her Oscar. Yes, she tripped in a four million dollars dress. We love you, J-Law. Also, we definitely think she deserved the award for Silver Linings Playbook, too.
