It’s only two more days until the Royal Wedding and the media buzz surrounding the bride-to-be and the Markel family hasn’t stopped yet.
TMZ revealed that Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha, was hospitalized after a “paparazzi confrontation.”
Samantha’s boyfriend, Mark, told TMZ that they were driving when paparazzi veered the car in front of them in order to get a clear shot. Her boyfriend recalled that he steered their car to the left in an attempt to avoid the paparazzi and he hit a concrete barrier. Samantha hit the windshield and fell to the floor mat. Samantha was diagnosed with MS in 2018. She is wheelchair-bound, so when the accident happened, she was unable to lift herself up. Samantha reportedly told TMZ that her foot was twisted backward.
Meghan’s 53-year-old half-sister has caused many controversies in the last few days in the lead up to the Royal Wedding. She made headlines claiming that she has raised Meghan for 12 years when she grew up in California. However, that was proven to be false. The two have been estranged from each other for years, and Samantha only spoke of Meghan after her wedding announcement is out, saying Hollywood warped the soon-to-be wife of Prince Harry.
It's safe to say there's no sisterly bond between Meghan and Samantha, especially as the Royal Wedding inches closer and closer. Though, this could be the perfect opportunity for the two to repair their relationship. While it's unlikely, a close call has a way of bringing people back together, showing that both parties truly care.
If that doesn't happen, Samantha can watch the Royal Wedding from the comfort of her own home on May 19, 2018, as Meghan Markle says "I do" to Prince Harry in front of the entire world. If she doesn't want to admit she watched her sister walk the aisle, she can just say she wanted to catch a glimpse of all the celebrities in attendance.
