Joe Jonas had a lawsuit brought against him and his assistant after a car accident dating back to March 2016.
An unnamed woman claims that his assistant made a left turn in an intersection that resulted in a collision. When the law firm representing her ran the plates of the Audi A6 they discovered it was registered to the Jonas brother. Although it's not known if he was in the vehicle at the time, the woman is suing both him and the assistant for negligence.
According to Page Six, the female sustained injuries that caused her significant mental and physical pain and cost her a considerable amount in medical bills and loss of earnings. Jonas, who splits his time between Los Angeles and New York, hasn't publicly commented on the situation. Jonas is currently in Australia where he is filming for the new series of The Voice Australia. Judging contestants alongside the DNCE crooner is Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Boy George.
Jonas initially came to prominence as one-third of the band Jonas Brothers, alongside his siblings Kevin and Nick. The trio enjoyed a successful stint, mainly popular with the teenage demographic in the United States. They made various appearances on Disney Channel works before the band went their separate ways in 2013. Joe formed DNCE alongside his former touring partners Jack Lawless and JinJoo Lee, scoring a hit single with "Cake by the Ocean."
Jonas has been dating British Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner since late 2016. The pair got engaged last year after a year of dating. At the time, Turner posted a picture of her engagement ring captioned simply "I said yes." Prior to landing the red-haired beauty, Jonas dated supermodel Gigi Hadid from 2015 to 2016, before splitting due to conflicting work schedules. Not long after the relationship ended, Hadid started dating her current beau Zayn Malik.
