The 77th Annual Golden Globes premiered Sunday, January 5th, 2020, and was hosted by the hilarious Ricky Gervais. While we got to see all of our favorite celebrities walk the red carpet on their way to celebrate the year's best films and television shows, some actors and actresses took quite the risk with their outfits.

Of course, some of them definitely pulled it off, but no one can win it all. In case you're looking to give some good fashion advice, here are the 10 biggest outfit flops of the night, ranked from worst to, well, most worst. Of course, we still love each and every one of these talented people, and honestly, no outfits were train-wrecks. That said, somebody's got to make the list.

Lucy Boynton

We actually kind of dig this outfit, and only Lucy Boynton could pull it off as well as she did. Still, she kind of looks like she's from outer space. Sure, this actress is out of this world, but we're not totally loving the FULL silver look. Lucy is always beautiful, and we respect her decision to go bold. Still, this certainly isn't our favorite of her looks. However, we're protecting her and Rami Malek at all costs. You're just better than this world, girl.

Kerry Washington

This outfit is certainly risky, but we totally respect and appreciate Kerry's willingness to steal the spotlight. This outfit isn't actually bad, but it's not the most flattering skirt or jacket.

Again, she's slaying, but this certainly isn't Kerry's best bold and defiant look on the red carpet. We're totally loving that sparkly accessory, but we think that this brave woman deserves a more flattering and gorgeous look.

Natasha Lyonne

Natasha is always blowing us away, and she was nominated for her leading role in Russian Doll. She didn't bring home the win, but she at least stole our hearts. That said, this isn't our favorite look from this talented gal, and honestly, it's mainly because we can barely see her gorgeous face with that obnoxious sparkly bow. This dress isn't the most flattering, and we just know she can do better, right?

Naomi Watts

We also aren't against this dress, but it simply just fell in the bottom 10 looks of the nights. This dress is simple and elegant, but it's not super flattering. This woman is a bombshell, and we expect some more wonderful things from her. It's not all about looks, but you might as well flaunt what you got, right? This gal is way better than this bland and unflattering gown.

Cate Blanchett

We seriously don't want to take anything away from this legend, and she's still slaying the red carpet in this dress.

However, our biggest complaint is definitely the material. The sleeves are oddly resembling a fish's fins, no? Plus, that front is seriously not the most flattering we've seen this bombshell wear. The color we can certainly get behind, though, and of course, she still looks stunning. However, we've seen better outfits.

Dakota Fanning

Dakota Fanning has stolen all of our hearts since she was a child actor, but the truth is that this dress wasn't keeping up to par with her talent. The color is actually quite beautiful, but we expect a bit more than this kind of outlandish and abnormally puffy gown. It's just simply a little bit out there, and not exactly in a good way. This ain't an old storybook, Dakota, as much as you'd probably fit in wearing that dress.

Salma Hayek

We love this woman, and again, there's nothing we exactly dislike about this outfit. However, it's just not exactly stealing our eyes and hearts. It's kind of boring, to be honest, and it seems pretty bland and unexciting. Sure, she looks good as ever, but we definitely expect something more gorgeous and bold from this colorful and hilarious woman. We can't wait to see her next red carpet look, because this one is pretty forgettable.

Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst is certainly beautiful, and while she scored a nomination for the evening, we weren't totally in love with this very, very pink gown.

Maybe if the neck-line was low and didn't have the mesh top, we'd be all over this elegant and beautiful dress. As it stands though, there's just a bit too much frill, and it's not the most flattering for this talented gal. Of course, she looks happy on that carpet, so we can't complain too much.

Jodie Comer

Honestly, the color and the material of this dress are stunning. Everything else, though, is a bit of a mess. This woman is beautiful and talented, but we can like, hardly see her behind that dress. The puff sleeves and ridiculously high neck-line are a bit much. We love modesty and elegance, but she's drowning in this gown. We're sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but his lady has definitely had better looks. We still love you though, Jodie Comer, and maybe you can alter this dress next year into something even more stunning.

Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth looked confident as ever in this gown, and honestly, we're sure she'll bounce back from taking the #1 spot on this list pretty quickly. This fiery gal is ALWAYS slaying, and somehow, she still looks mesmerizing and magnificent in this incredibly bold and odd dress. To be honest, we're not digging this look, and maybe you disagree, but someone has to take this spot. We love this woman to death, but we've seriously seen some better looks from her. We're sorry, Gwyneth, and even though this look fell flat, we encourage you to be you on the next red carpet, too.
