For some celebrities, the love of superheroes goes back to childhoods spent with comic books. For others, the love of the superhero movie didn’t really come about until they had appeared in the movies themselves and seen what all the fuss was about. Keep reading to find out which 10 famous people absolutely love superhero movies.

10 Jason Momoa

Although he rose to worldwide fame playing the fierce Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones, Jason Momoa is now renowned for playing Aquaman. Thanks to his genetic blessings and acting talent, he is the perfect actor to portray the hero. As it turns out, Momoa isn’t just great at playing superheroes. He also loves watching superhero movies (especially when he’s starring in them!).

According to Screen Ranthe watched Justice League twice, and shortly after the movie’s release, was preparing to watch it again. If those aren’t the actions of someone who loves superhero movies, we don’t know what is!

9 Eminem

We know—Eminem doesn’t look like the kind of celebrity that would be into superhero movies. But it seems that he is very much into superheroes themselves. According to CBR, Eminem loves comic books. As a child, he actually wanted to be a comic book artist before deciding to become a rapper.

Now that he has achieved extreme success in the music industry, Eminem has been able to accumulate quite an impressive collection of comics and even has some rare items that regular people wouldn’t dream of owning.

8 Nicolas Cage

Another mega-star who is a huge fan of Marvel? Nicolas Cage! Celebrity Toob explains that Cage actually changed his name to Cage after the Marvel Comics character Luke Cage. For those who don’t know, Cage was actually born Nicolas Coppola, the son of author and professor August Coppola.

Cage is another star who has a huge collection of comic books and enjoys getting his superhero fix either that way or by watching the movies. He and his son even created their very own comic book entitled Voodoo Child. We wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes a movie one day!

7 Ryan Reynolds

Just because an actor has appeared in a superhero movie doesn’t automatically mean that he loves the genre. But when he appears in them again and again, it’s reasonable to assume that superhero movies have a special place in his heart! That’s the case with Ryan Reynolds, who has played Hannibal in King in Blade: Trinity, Deadpool, Green Lantern, and others.

Reynolds’ interest in superheroes and comic books started well before he became an actor. Growing up, he was already a fan of Deadpool and Green Lantern.

6 Seth Green

Seth Green has an impressive list of acting credits to his name, but playing superheroes isn’t really his thing. He did voice King Kong in The Lego Batman Movie, and also voiced Batman, Aquaman, and Robin and the TV show Robot Chicken DC Comics Special 3: Magical Friendship, but he’s not commonly associated with superheroes. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t love them (and watching them!) though.

On the contrary, Green loves the world of comics and superheroes so much that he actually co-created the comic book series Freshmen, which was released between 2006 and 2007.

5 Olivia Munn

Superheroes and comic books are commonly thought of a masculine interest but that harmful stereotype couldn’t be further from the truth. Olivia Munn is one example of the many women who love comic books and superheroes. The model-turned-actress' favorite comic book is Y: The Last Man, which was released in 2002. She also wrote Suck It, Wonder Woman!: The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek.

As far as starring in superhero movies goes, Munn appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse in 2016 as Psylocke, the superheroine who was born Elizabeth “Betsy” Braddock.

4 Gal Gadot

Another super successful Hollywood actress who enjoys superhero movies, both starring in them and watching them later? Gal Gadot. Starring as Wonder Woman helped Gadot foster a love of the character and the world in which she exists.

In the future, we might see Gadot appear in more DC movies. She revealed that she loves how Wonder Woman is a flawed character who is open about her shortcomings. It was this trait that helped her relate more strongly to the character and enjoyed playing her.

3 Megan Fox

Megan Fox is yet to starr as a superheroine, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t enjoy watching superhero movies or reading comic books. She loves that whole universe and has been a huge fan since she was a child. She first became obsessed with the world of superheroes when her sister started collecting comics.

“It’s just a good world,” Megan said (via Celebrity Toob). “It makes me feel good. I love Comic-Con. I loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was such a big part of my childhood.”

2 Maisie Williams

It looks like Jason Mamoa isn’t the only Game of Thrones star who also enjoys a good superhero movie every now and then. Maisie Williams has been open about her love for comic books, and in particular, there is one superhero who has won over her heart more than any other: Spider-Man.

Growing up, Spider-Man was her favorite character, so it’s fair to assume that she probably loves the Spider-Man movies too. In 2014, once she had achieved worldwide fame through playing Arya Stark, she attended the San Diego Comic-Con wearing a Spider-Man mask to avoid being mobbed by fans. After being noticed nearly everywhere she goes (especially in her native Britain), it's totally understandable that Williams wanted some privacy!

1 Hugh Jackman

Few actors have gushed about their roles in superhero movies as much as Hugh Jackman has. Something tells us that he wouldn’t have played Wolverine for 17 years if he didn’t like superhero movies at all!

He didn’t just love the experience of playing Wolverine; he fell in love with the entire franchise and now counts himself as a fan just like millions of others around the world. After watching the last movie back, Jackman said in an interview with Variety: “… I was calm and at peace, but I’m going to miss that guy.”
