Ellen's Record-Breaking Tweet

Perhaps one of Ellen's funniest tweets is this record-breaking tweet from 2014. The photo, taken at the Oscar Awards, was the first tweet to reach 1 million retweets. The photo shows DeGeneres smiling alongside some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie and more. The caption on the photo reads, "If only Bradley's arm was longer. Best picture ever. #oscars."

The caption was referring to Cooper, who was holding the camera. This photo, which now has over 2 million likes and 3 million retweets, takes the cakes as one of the most iconic tweets of all time!

Ellen Reveals Her PIN To Twitter

One sarcastic tweet from DeGeneres is from 2017. The comedian jokingly shared a tweet revealing some pretty important information! In this tweet posted on New Year's Day, DeGeneres wrote "Happy 2017! This is crazy. It's the year and my PIN number!"

Obviously kidding, the star definitely got a laugh out of twitter users seeming as the tweet racked up over 20,000 likes! DeGeneres is known for her pranks on The Ellen Show, and clearly enjoys messing around! This tweet is surely one of Ellen's funniest and most lighthearted. Ellen's Kiss With Jennifer Aniston

One of Ellen's most recent tweets may be one of her best yet! The star posted on Twitter on January 2, 2020, with a video of one of her Ellen Show guests, Jennifer Aniston. Aniston and DeGeneres have spoke out many times about their close friendship and every time Aniston visits The Ellen Show, the talk about their relationship. On Aniston's most recent trip to The Ellen Show, she brought up a kiss that Ellen shared with Howard Stern.

She proceeded to ask Ellen to tell her about it, asking if she enjoyed it or "got into it at all." The conversation got especially hilarious when Aniston asked DeGeneres the last time she had kissed a man on the lips. The question was then returned to Aniston by DeGeneres who answered, "I don't kiss girls on the lips." DeGeneres then leaned over and Aniston kissed her. The tweet shared by Ellen showed a video of this part of the episode with the caption, "I'm not gonna lie to you, my job isn't terrible." Possibly one of Ellen's best tweets yet!

Her Mean Girls Debut

Ellen DeGeneres is often posting edits of herself Photoshopped into other celebrities' photos. For example, she once posted an edited photo of herself inserted into J-Lo's Paper Magazine cover shoot. Another time she posted a hilarious edit, was when she added herself to the cast of Mean Girls. Or better yet, replaced a cast member.

One of her best tweets from 2015 was an image from the movie, Mean Girls. The photo shows the four girls who star in the movie in their iconic Santa outfits for the talent show scene. However, the tweet shows Ellen's face inserted over Rachel McAdam's face. The caption on the tweet reads "Happy #Throwback Thursday #TBT"

Why Did Adele Cross The Road

Queen of classic-style jokes, DeGeneres at one point even had a hashtag for the jokes she posted to Twitter. The hashtag was called #classicjoketuesday (or whatever day she posted the joke) and was posted whenever she tweeted a joke in the classic style. One tweet that was followed by that hashtag was, "What did Moses say to Abraham when he asked where he could find an arc? I Noah guy." The hashtag series eventually ended, but the jokes did not.

One of her most clever jokes posted to Twitter read, "Why did Adele cross the road? She wanted to say hello to the other side." The joke, referencing Adele's song "Hello" is honestly quite creative and hilarious to say the least!

Another #ClassicJokeWednesday

As mentioned above, DeGeneres is great at creating classic jokes that actually stick. Aside from the two jokes for her hashtag series #classicjokewednesday, mentioned above, there was one more joke that was just too good not to share! This tweet jokes about the superhero universe, specifically Batman.

The tweet reads, "What do you call it when Batman skips church? Christian Bale." The tweet is simple enough almost anyone can understand it, exactly how a classic joke should be. This tweet is among one of her best, although there are so many more!

Happy New Year From Ellen

As previously mentioned, DeGeneres usually wishes her followers a Happy New Year each year on Twitter. This year, her Happy New Year wishes to her followers focused around the fact that we are entering the Twenties! The comedian posted to Twitter on New Year's Day and wrote, "Happy New Year! I can't believe we're in the Twenties.

I'm gonna be dressed as a flapper the whole decade," making reference to the roaring twenties. DeGeneres managed to joke about her wardrobe, and also make yet another hilarious joke on New Year's Day!

Ryan Gosling's Happy Birthday Post

Ellen's Twitter is full of Happy Birthday wishes to her co-workers, fans and mostly, her Hollywood friends. DeGeneres always finds a witty way to wish her friends a happy birthday and one of the funniest wishes yet has got to her post for Ryan Gosling's birthday.

She posted a photo to Twitter with the caption, "Happy birthday @RyanGosling! I love you so much!" One might read this and think it really is just a simple and sweet birthday message, however, the photo is really the joke. The photo posted is actually a photo of Ryan Reynolds and Ellen, not Ryan Gosling. Sneaky and funny!

Ellen and J-Lo's Paper Magazine Cover

As previously mentioned, Ellen frequently edits herself into other celebrity's photos. One of the funniest of these was when she added herself into a photo of the cast of Mean Girls. Another classic Ellen-edit is from the time she edited herself into J-Lo's magazine cover for Paper Magazine. This edited photo was posted to Twitter along with many other tweets about Ellen's upcoming season of The Ellen Show.

The tweet was posted with the Photoshopped image and the caption, "We're ready for season 15. @jlo." This tweet received over 13,000 likes. It's safe to say we're not the only ones who found this photo amusing!

Yet Another Ellen-Edit

We saved the best for last with this edit by Ellen! This Photoshopped image was posted to Twitter by the actress in 2017 during the time Wonder Woman was breaking box office records. The tweet posted by DeGeneres shows an edited image of Wonder Woman with Ellen's face, making Ellen look like she is actually Wonder Woman.

The tweet reads "I just need my invisible jet #WonderWoman." This edit is by far the best, and actually looks extremely realistic! Twitter loves Ellen and this post with over 24,000 likes proves why!
