Celebrities are dads too, or at least some of them are, and like many of us, they have also been deservedly celebrating Father's Day.
It's that time of year again, Father's Day. A Sunday that we set aside each year to celebrate all of the dads out there, and for most, it is extremely well-deserved. Many of us will have taken our dads out for lunch today, given them cards and gifts, or if you are fathers yourselves then you may have been lucky enough to have been spoiled by your children for the day.
There are many men in the celebrity world who are dads of course, and a lot of them have also been celebrating today. Justin Timberlake has been a father for the past three years and the singer/movie star posted a touching tribute to his son on Instagram in celebration of Father's Day. Timberlake wrote "The last 3 years of my life have brought more joy than I could ever imagine," along with a pic of himself with his young son.
The last 3 years of my life have brought more joy than I could ever imagine. Being a father is such a trip... an amazing discovery every day. My son: it is my honor to be your Daddy. You make me feel a love that I didn't know existed. I will ALWAYS be there... to pick you up when you fall, to lift you up when you are ready to soar, and to remind you that your humility will be your guide through this thing called life. And to all the Dads out there: Keep on keeping on! Our children are watching and listening more than we know! I'm celebrating you all today! Happy Father's Day! Cheers! 🍻
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson also took to Instagram to celebrate on Sunday, and he decided to express his love and gratitude for both his father and his three daughters. You only need to take one look at the photo below to see where Rock gets his genetics from. His father Rocky Johnson was also a professional wrestler. The People's Champ wrote, "Happy Father’s Day to this hardly ever smiling OG badass."
Happy Father’s Day to this hardly ever smiling OG bad ass. Little boys by nature, look up to and idolize their old man. They want to be just like em, do whatever they do and are always looking for their approval. Funny thing is the day I stopped looking for that approval was the day I understood what it meant to be man and more importantly, a father. That shift lifted me to a new level of gratitude for the tough love he always gave. Years later as a man and father of three girls, I know that tough love, is a helluva lot better than no love at all. I’ll take it. It’s made me who I am today. Grateful to the original Rock. #HappyFathersDay #KingStache #RockyJohnson
The post of the day has to go to Star Wars star, Mark Hamill. The man better known as Luke Skywalker took to Twitter on Sunday in order to celebrate his own father, sort of. Hamill posted a photo of his famous movie dad, Darth Vader, and simply wrote "#HappyFathersDay". If you don't already follow Hamill on Twitter then do yourself a favor and change that because the Jedi is extremely entertaining.
Social media has obviously been awash with children paying tribute to their fathers today and also dads appreciating their children, whether it be celebrities doing that or otherwise. If you're lucky enough to have kids or have your dad around, make sure to celebrate Father's Day in style, and we hope that you have all had a good one.
