Last week, New York Fashion Week saw hoards of the rich and beautiful flock to the city, but it brought with it one unwanted visitor—Bella Hadid's stalker.
Last Thursday, Thorne returned home to her apartment to find a 37-year-old man lurking outside of her building with the intention to harass her, according to eOnline. While the man remains unnamed, it's thought that he has been known Hadid for some time.
The frightened model had someone call 911, leading to an arrest shortly after. A New York city police department spokesperson confirmed they had taken a man into custody, but would not divulge his name. According to the police, the suspect had been sending Hadid a plethora of unwanted messages on her social media platforms, including videos threatening to harm both her and her family. Ever the supermodel, Bella didn't let the incident slow down her partying and went on to attend a birthday dinner alongside her sister, Gigi.
The Hadid's have hit the headlines this week for other reasons, as their billionaire father Mohamed has been accused of sexual assault by model, 23-year-old Miranda Vee. Vee issued a sensational statement on her Instagram page earlier this month alleging that the real estate mogul assaulted her on what she believed was a professional meeting. While she later deleted it and the story died down for a few weeks, she filed a police report two days ago with LAPD, spending two hours talking to detectives. At the time Vee made her initial claims, Hadid denied it vehemently, stating he would never harm anyone and her story was pure fabrication.
Gigi and Bella are from Mohamed's marriage to model Yolanda Van der Herik of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame. He has two other daughters, Alana and Marielle with first wife Mary Butler and has one son, Anwar, also from his marriage with Van der Herik.
