Newly-engaged lovebirds Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have just moved into a $16 million apartment in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. The 4,000 square foot flat, located in a luxury complex designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, features five bedrooms and four and a half baths, as well as spectacular views of the New York City skyline and the Empire State Building. The complex includes a fitness center, a 75-foot skylit pool, and a private IMAX theater.
Grande and Davidson aren't the only celebrities in the building. Sting also owns an apartment in the complex. On Monday, the couple was reportedly spotted furniture shopping at Restoration Hardware, and on Tuesday, the singer shared a video of her fiancé playfully lifting up his shirt and sticking out his tongue up while they looked at rugs. The video was simply captioned, “Adults.”
The shopping spree came two days after Grande attended Davidson’s stand-up gig at NYC's Comedy Cellar where they were joined comedian Sherrod Small and singer John Mayer. According to a source, “Ariana is still on cloud nine from Pete's proposal and incredible ring. He totally surprised her and stole her heart, she never thought she could be this in love. It's a total whirlwind for Ariana and Pete, so they haven't officially started planning, but she's got lots of ideas about what she wants.”
“She's been dreaming about getting married forever. She said for a long time that she wants her brother Frankie to be the one to walk her down the aisle. And, she wants her dogs to be included somehow too,” they added. Grande, famously, has seven dogs, which currently live at her LA mansion.
The couple’s new neighborhood, Chelsea, has been transformed since the 90s from an industrial area into an NYC hotspot with hundreds of art galleries. The area also features countless restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Soon, Chelsea will be connected to Hudson Yards, the city’s largest development since Rockefeller Center, which will include numerous shopping, dining, and cultural opportunities.
The couple began dating in May after Grande split from her boyfriend of two years, rapper Mac Miller, and while Davidson was "on a break" with his girlfriend of two years, comedy writer, and actress Cazzie David. A month later, Grande and Davidson got engaged.
