Oprah Winfrey is one of the most famous and successful women in history. Her talk show and self-help channel reached hundreds of millions of people over its span and she set the bar for daytime television in a number of ways. Along the way, she's made some fans and some haters have emerged.

The question is, how could anyone not like a person like Winfrey, who does so much good for so many people? She's donated to worthwhile causes, helped authors reach new heights with her book club, given money to families in need and exposed some of the evil that was out there with her vast reach and captivated audience. Yet, people still found a way to harp on her, calling her hypocritical, unfriendly, too wealthy and too powerful.

Who are these people? Well, there's a mixed bag of celebrities who have both learned to love Oprah and others who can't stand her. Some have been fans from day one, others used to despise her and came around, while others have just not been fans at all.

Below is a list of seven celebrities who love Oprah Winfrey and eight who are not her biggest fans. Are they right to have such an opinion of her? Did she really do something to deserve their love or hate? Let's find out.

Not A Fan: Seal

The Harvey Weinstein scandal was a big deal, yet if you ask singer/songwriter Seal, Oprah Winfrey didn't take things quite seriously enough. To Seal, Oprah spoke a good game at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards when she spoke for and empowered women everywhere but just days after the show, Seal posted a meme on Instagram mocking Winfrey who could be seen getting friendly with Weinstein.

Seal had an issue with Winfrey speaking on behalf of women and then acting in a way that he deemed completely inappropriate. Looks like Seal thinks she's a huge hypocrite.

Loves Her: Roseanne Barr

Ok, we know Roseanne Barr doesn't love Oprah. That's us just trying to give her feelings for the former talk show host a positive spin. At best, we'll call it a sarcastic admiration for the former queen of daytime tv. What we do know is that back in the day, Roseanne was on Winfrey's case for endorsing Barack Obama instead of Hillary Clinton for U.S. president.

But, that was Roseanne being Rosanne and she immediately apologized writing, "Oprah has been a force for good for a long time... I got upset because I felt Oprah was adding to the divisiveness in this country. I am sorry Oprah, I really do admire and love you for all the good you do and have done in this country and the world at large." Barr later added, "I love Oprah like everybody else." Not A Fan: Angelina Jolie

While many consider her to be a unique individual, Angelina Jolie is one of the most famous humanitarians of all time. So is Oprah, who is known for giving to wonderful causes and charities. So, it would make sense that these women would work together right? Not so much.

It was reported that Jolie refused to help Oprah launch her Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa which got Winfrey quite upset and Oprah said, "It was it the last time she'll ask Angelina to help with any of her causes."

When asked why Jolie wouldn't help, the rumor was that she shot Winfrey down because "Angelina has never forgiven Oprah for siding with Jennifer Aniston after Brad Pitt split from Jen." Sounds like a terribly petty reason to not work together for such a good cause. (Source: FoxNews)

Loves Her: Jonathan Franzen

Sometimes celebrities love Oprah for completely selfish reasons. One example is Author Jonathan Franzen who started off on the wrong foot with Winfrey but is now apparently a "huge fan".

Their issue arose when he stated that he believed the selections to Oprah's Book Club were "one-dimensional" and said this even though she actually chose one of his books.

Then he said he didn't like that she blasted his work with the corporate stench he didn't want to be associated with it.

Of course, when she pulled his invitation from being on her show and knowing she could crush someone's book sales, he backpedaled quickly saying, "I said things that ended up hurting [Winfrey's] feelings … I feel bad because the person being hurt is actually a really good person for American writing and reading," he told The New York Times.

Winfrey chose one of Franzen's books again in 2010 and he didn't say a peep.I guess he's all good with Oprah now. (Source: VanityFair)

Not A Fan: Rachael Ray

Considering Rachel Ray was following in the footsteps of Oprah and carving out a career with her own daytime show, taking over the talk show cooking scene, you'd think that Ray would have the utmost respect for Oprah who was instrumental in helping her along the way. But, in 2007, Ray was accused of making terrible insults at Winfrey's expense.

According to TMZ, Ray went a little too far one night and claimed Winfrey was in drag in her movie Beloved (1998) She added, "[Winfrey] has a problem with being black." and called Winfrey demanding, and some other words we can't say. Yikes. Of course, Ray's camp denied everything. Insiders suggested this was a real war between the two and Ray harboured some extremely harsh feelings. Something must have happened to get Ray so heated.

Loves Her: Stedman Graham

Well, anyone who knows about Oprah Winfrey knows about Stedman Graham. Stedman is an American educator, author, businessman, speaker, and podcaster. Those are great achievements. But, who are we kidding? He's really known for being the beau of Winfrey, even once getting engaged but deciding that they'd rather just stay together than make it official.

He's been with her as a boyfriend or spiritual partner since 1986 and it looks like the two have figured out how to have a lasting relationship without getting married. He's done quite well for himself having created S. Graham & Associates, a marketing and consulting firm, written 11 books and likely benefited from his connection to Winfrey. If Oprah runs for President in 2020, it will be interesting to see how Stedman is involved. (Source: BusinessInsider)

Not A Fan: 50 Cent

If the term "Oreo" means hypocrite in 50 Cent's world, then Curtis Jackson must think Oprah is a hypocrite because, in a 2006 interview, he used that word to describe her suggesting she was catering to middle-aged white American women.

He basically accused her of turning "white," and named his dog after her too as a way to insult her.

It turned out his public beef with her was more about publicity than anything. When the two finally had a chance to talk it out in 2012, he was on her show Oprah's Next Chapter and said he was upset because she refused to have rappers on her show. Ironically, 50 Cent decided that if she wasn't going to like what he did and said for a living, it was better business for him to "at least let me be your enemy, so I co-exist.'"

Loves Her: Meryl Streep

There are a number of people in Hollywood who are pro-Oprah, many of whom think she should absolutely run for President in 2020. One of those people is Meryl Streep, who has been vocal about her support for the former talk show host. Streep told the Washington Post after Oprah's being celebrated that her speech "launched a rocket" at the rest of the world.

Streep was not shy about her support for Oprah saying "I want her to run for president. I don't think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn't have a choice."

The idea was that Oprah was so good and so powerful people who would expect her to run in 2020. "She runs a major company. She could lead the country. Instead of leading the country down," Streep added.

Not A Fan: Mo'Nique

Some of the battles between celebrities and Oprah go back a long way. Comedian and actress  Mo'Nique have been beefing since 2010 after Mo'Nique won an Oscar for the film Precious and she felt Oprah tried to kill her acting momentum.

Just as Mo'Nique's star was starting to rise, Winfrey had interviewed her and during that interview, the comedian's brother made claims that the actress had mistreated her.

Mo'Nique was shocked to learn that Winfrey had invited her brother and her parents to the show and had them sitting in the audience. She felt railroaded and hurt by someone she trusted.

Mo'Nique still feels there's a rift between her and her family because she feels that her parents have never tried to understand the role her brother played in the drama and accusations. Eve now, Mo'Nique thinks Oprah was responsible for the blackballing she received in Hollywood. (Source: HollywoodReporter)

Loves Her: Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.

Another celebrity who goes way back with Oprah is Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. who has been a public supporter of Oprah's for years and often shows up at events and monumental occasions in Oprah's life. He was one of the first on the Oprah for President bandwagon and will surely be in her corner if she chooses to run in 2020.

He said, "@Oprah is eminently qualified to be President. She is a patriot. She has integrity, is smart and communicates w/the broadest cross-section of Americans, from Appalachia to the Mississippi Delta; from the very rich to the very poor. She can raise our moral standing in the world. . It sounds like she has his endorsement and more should she choose to try and run the country."

Not A Fan: Ludacris

There's a trend starting to emerge on this list as it's filled with hip-hop and rap stars, this time focusing on rapper and actor Ludacris. Luda is now famous for his roles in the Fast and Furious films but in 2004, he appeared on Oprah to promote his film Crash. It was one of his first big acting gigs and he was quite proud but he believed Oprah ambushed him. Instead of focusing on the film, she talked about the lyrics he wrote in some of his songs.

The actor told GQ in an interview, "She edited out a lot of my comments while keeping her own in. We were doing a show on racial discrimination, and she gave me a hard time as a rapper when I came on there as an actor."

He said she told him after she taped the show that she wasn't a fan of empowering rappers. He knew he was in trouble because she wasn't ever going to let the proper interview air and she would target him specifically.

Loves Her: Gayle King

If there's one thing fans of Oprah know it's that her best friend and running mate for a lot of things is Gayle King. Gayle owes Oprah a lot too because she used to come on Oprah's show as a guest. Eventually that helped her land her own show and very successful daytime talk career. King would likely have had none of this if not for Oprah.

Today, King's resume has read, editor-at-large for O, The Oprah Magazine, co-anchor of the CBS News morning show CBS This Morning and best-friend of Oprah which is likely her most powerful title. The only bump in the road between the two might be the fact that King and Howard Stern are close friends even though Oprah and Stern are not.

Not A Fan: Janet Jackson

None of the members of the Jackson Family seem to be too happy with Oprah but Janet Jackson may have the biggest beef of all the Jacksons. Janet was allegedly irked after Winfrey brought Michael's kids onto her show after Michael Jackson had passed away.

While this news comes from the National Enquirer, they did suggest Janet was furious.

"She thinks Oprah took advantage of Michael's children for TV ratings. Janet told her Michael would be heartsick that Oprah used his kids as pawns."

They went on to say that Janet and Oprah had a huge spat over the telephone on the day that show was taped. Oprah went ahead with the interview despite Janet's objections and since that day Janet has not been a Winfrey fan.

Loves Her: Dr. Phil

There are a ton of celebrities who owe a lot to Oprah. Gayle King, Dr. Oz, and the writers of "The Secret" are just a few who make the list. Perhaps no celeb owes more to Oprah than Dr. Phil who was basically plucked out of nowhere and became a huge celebrity now worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

His show has been on television for almost 20 years and he started as one of her legal counsels back in 1995. He's a perfect example of what can happen when Oprah becomes a fan of yours. In 2015, Forbes listed his earnings at $70 million over the past year and he was ranked the 15th highest earning celebrity in the world. He's written multiple best-selling books and many of them have been promoted by Oprah as well.

Not A Fan: Ice Cube

Some celebrities get a little miffed when they've been around forever, made a huge impact on their industry and are one of the few people not to be invited on her show. That's the case for rapper and movie star Ice Cube who felt excluded despite many of his fellow cast-mates being invited to on the show.

He said in an interview with FHM via Fox News,

"I've been involved in three projects pitched to her, but I've never been asked to participate."

This was despite the praise she gave for his movie "Barbershop", from which she brought Cedric The Entertainer and Eve on her show. Eventually, he came right out and suggested that maybe Oprah doesn't like hip-hop, which later proved to be true. She's said she doesn't feel having rappers on the show is good for her image but he wasn't a fan of that explanation.
