20 Things Jennifer Aniston Has Done So Far In 2018 (And Fans Are Watching)

Jennifer Aniston is not the kind of person who will take orders from anyone else in her life. As a matter of fact, she’s the kind of person who takes charge, does what she wants, lives her life to the fullest and better yet, couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks. That’s just her way of life. Even though her name has been in tabloid gossip headline cycles for years now, she doesn’t let all of the rumors control her life. Instead, she carries her head up high, and moves on.

Case in point: ever since she announced that she and her soon-to-be ex-husband Justin Theroux would be parting ways earlier this year, she’s paid no attention to the media outlets who have been calling her an unlucky-in-love Hollywood actress who just can’t seem to find her happiness. According to Jennifer, that’s not the case at all. She doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for her. And better yet, she doesn’t feel sorry for herself, either. Instead, she’s been keeping busy and doing what she loves the most: and that’s developing and creating insightful, interesting projects that she knows her fans will love. With that being said, here are 20 things that Jennifer Aniston has done in 2018 so far.

First and foremost, she’s ignoring the gossip blogs. Jennifer Aniston knows that there are people out there talking about her, but she’s paying no attention to them. She told InStyle Magazine, “For the most part I can sit back and laugh at the ridiculous headlines because they have gotten more and more absurd. I guess they’re feeding into some sort of need the public has, but I focus on my work, my friends, my animals, and how we can make the world a better place. That other stuff is junk food that needs to go back in its drawer.”

It will also be the first of its kind for Apple, who is trying to compete with the likes of Netflix and Hulu. And from what we hear, both ladies are getting a hefty pay day from the lucrative deal, too. No premiere date has been reported yet.

Jennifer Aniston’s Apple deal isn’t the only project in the pipeline that the actress has going on for her these days. According to reports, she’s also working with writer and director Sophie Goodhart in a new suburban parenting comedy for STXFilms. And if you can recall, STX is the same film company that brought us the gem that was Bad Moms back in 2016. So you know this one is going to be equally good. It’s without a doubt that Jen’s fans can’t wait to see in on the big screen. So far, there’s no title for this project yet but we’ll keep our eyes out.

While there isn’t much information available about this project, we do know that Jen is currently filming the movie in different parts of Europe with her good friend, Adam Sandler. The movie is about, “A New York cop and his wife go on a European vacation to reinvigorate the spark in their marriage, but end up getting framed and on the run for the [passing] of an elderly billionaire.” Sounds like our kind of mystery movie!

via: popsugar.com

Jennifer isn’t the kind of person who is holed up in her multi-million dollar Hollywood Hills home and has no idea what is going on in the real world. It’s quite the contrary, in fact. The actress is fully away of all the media coverage she gets including the good, the bad, and yes, the downright ugly. And she accepts it all, even if she doesn’t always look too flattering or if the media doesn’t have anything nice to say. Jen once said, “When somebody follows you 20 blocks to the pharmacy, where they watch you buy toilet paper, you know your life has changed.”

The one thing that Jennifer has been doing more in 2018 is hanging out with her friends, having dinner parties, get-togethers, and just enjoying life, one day at a time. In fact, she took a group of her girlfriends and had a blast in Cabo for her birthday back in February. In fact, she loves visiting Mexico as often as she can. This was right before she announced her separation from Justin Theroux. Jennifer once put it this way: “I have a lot of amazing women, you know, women in my life who have been an example for me of what not to do.”

You know that your someone special, especially if you can hold on to the same friends for more than several decades. And that’s exactly what Jen has done. The people to pick you up when you need lifting? We come from homes far from perfect, so you end up almost parent and sibling to your friends – your own chosen family. There's nothing like a really loyal, dependable, good friend. Nothing.”

Despite her very busy schedule, Jennifer Aniston almost never misses out on a workout. Her routine is very important to her – and the results show. She’s one of the fittest actresses in the business. Jen’s trainer, Leyon Azubuike, told Us Weekly in an interview, “The thing with Jen is that she works out very hard and very intense, so the workout is ever-changing. It is always evolving because I have to continue to challenge her. To keep it smart and strategic, we are not always going super hard all the time so we can keep her performing at her very best no matter what phase of the workout we are in.”

8 She’s Clearing Up All The Misconceptions About Her Life

via: pinterest.com

A lot of people think that just because she’s single and she’d childless, she’s lonely and she’s miserable. But Jennifer Aniston wants you to know that that’s as far from the truth as one can get. In fact, she’s spent some time this summer clarifying all of the misconceptions about her life. She told InStyle Magazine, “Women are picked apart and pitted against one another based on looks and clothing and superficial stuff. When a couple breaks up in Hollywood, it’s the woman who is scorned. The woman is left sad and alone. She’s the failure [...] When was the last time you read about a divorced, childless man referred to as a spinster?”

7 She’s Opened Up About Social Media

via: pinterest.com

If there is one thing that Jennifer Aniston can’t understand, it’s society’s obsession with social media. For Jen, she just thinks it’s unhealthy and quite frankly, a huge waste of time. And a lot of people agree with her. “Our friends have 10- and 11-year-olds on Instagram,” Aniston told InStyle. “They’re starting way younger than when I even [cared] about what I looked like or what makeup I wore or what guy I liked. I think iPhones and Snapchat and all this stuff is just fueling narcissism. People are using filters and all sorts of tools to mask who they really are.”

6 She’s Also Working With Dolly Parton

via: film magic.com

Jennifer Aniston is a very lucky woman. That’s because she gets to work with legends, including people like Dolly Parton. And who wouldn’t want to work with Dolly? "Yes I am," Parton confirmed when asked if she was working with Aniston, according to E! News. "She's producing and starring in a movie called Dumplin' and it was a best-selling book and in the book this girl that's the character was a Dolly fan and loved her music. And so it inspired her in her life and so of course they're using a lot of my music from the old days but they asked me to write some new pieces and a theme song."

5 She’s Not Worried About The Past

via: pinterest.com

For Jennifer Aniston, she’s not worried about the past. She’s most concerned about what’s going on in her present day life and of course, what her future has in store for her. Sure, things could have worked out differently and in her favor, but it didn’t. But when life gives you lemons, Jen is the kind of person who will make organic lemonade out of it. She likes to keep positive and keep her head above water. Jennifer once said, “I was told to avoid the business all together because of the rejection. People would say to me, 'Don't you want to have a normal job and a normal family?' I guess that would be good advice for some people, but I wanted to act.”

4 But She’s Not Looking To Start Over

via: pinterest.com

If there is one thing that Jen isn’t looking to do, it’s start over. You can forget all of those tabloid reports that say she’s having secret phone calls with her ex-husband Brad Pitt or that she wants to reconnect with Justin Theroux. That’s simply not true. Jennifer knows what she wants out of life, and if there is something she refuses to do, it’s make the same mistake twice. She’s been there, done that, and has closed the book on both of her past marriages. Jen once said, “As I get older I realize what qualities are important in love and what suits me. And what I won't settle for.”

3 She’s Living Her Life The Way She Wants To

via: film magic.com

The great thing about Jennifer and her life right now is that she has freedom. She’s also doing a better job of picking out projects that better suit her and her needs. She’s older, but she’s also wiser. Jennifer told InStyle, “Now I’m trying to get better at saying no and to be a part of projects that actually, really matter…. [but] I’m grateful as long as people still want me to come to the party. I think I’ll always want to keep acting as long as there’s a desire for me to do it. As long as I’m fulfilled in other ways creatively, spiritually and all of that stuff, I know that I could do this until they put me in a home.”

2 She Has a Plan For Her Future

via: youtube.com

Believe it or not, Jennifer does have solid plans for her future. Although, sometimes she does feel like throwing the towel and starting over. But doesn’t everyone? She dreams of leaving Hollywood, the tabloid fodder, and all the dark parts of the entertainment industry behind. After all, it can get quite demanding, especially if you’ve been in the business for as long as Jen has. She told InStyle Magazine, “There have been moments when I would just love to get out of Dodge and move to Switzerland — or somewhere — and start anew. Just have this [...] behind me. Does it really matter? Are we really doing anything? What is my life’s purpose? Every seven years I try to sum up what I am doing and what I want to make my focus. I’m trying to make better choices.”

1 She Is Getting Ready For The Next Stage In Her Life

via: youtube.com

According to Jennifer Aniston, the best is yet to come. She’s made it clear that she is definitely saving her best for last. And if you don’t believe us, just ask her. Have you seen how great she looks lately? "[Beauty is] inner confidence. Peace. Kindness. Honesty. A life well-lived. Taking on challenges and not feeling shame for things that haven't gone the way you felt they should have," she told People in April 2016. "And not feeling like a failure or allowing people to critique your life and make you feel like you've failed at something. That's just toxic noise."
