Jennifer Lawrence is a twenty-seven year old American actress who was the highest paid for two consecutive years. She hailed from Kentucky, USA and finished her schooling from there. Jennifer shifted to New York at the age of fourteen to pursue a career in modelling. She would convince her family to shift bases to pursue her dreams. Her role in Winter's Bone as a white-knuckle teenager won the hearts of many. Soon she saw herself thrown to the stages of the Oscars and earned the award in the best actress category. She had impressed her audience with her mesmerizing act in Silver Linings Playbook.

From 2014 onwards, Jennifer finds herself surrounded by paparazzi, media and also gossip sites. She won most of the profits from the box office hits of "The Hunger Games." Being a versatile actor, Jennifer is always the focal point of stories and publicity, which sometimes take a controversial angle. Being a talented actor, she has friends and foes in the industry that she’s been compared and contrasted continuously. Although Jennifer has been appreciated for her performance in various acts, she's also been criticized continuously for her offhand comments and uncelebrated activities.

Let's see 15 of her secrets which fans don't know, or forget on purpose.

Jennifer rejected Prince Harry

According to Express.co.uk, Jennifer Lawrence was once asked to go on a date by Prince Harry. The invitation was to see the Kensington Palace and for dinner as well. Every source agrees with the fact that she turned him down, but it was not because she was not attracted to him. The reason was because at the time, she was in a relationship with Chris Martin.

It would not be the end of her and Harry however. When she heard that Meghan Markle was getting married to Prince Harry, the Hollywood actress added, “You’ve got to deal with one of us now. How about that?” The 27 years old, Oscar-winning Hollywood beauty made this light comment on the red carpet when she was asked by a reporter how Harry should get along with his would-be wife.

not knowing when to stop joking

According to teen vogue, When Jeniffer Lawrence and Chris Pratt did a fake video of them insulting each other, everything started out fine and dandy. That was until, like most things with celebrities, things got taken way too far. The jokes were just jokes at first, but when Chris Pratt implied that J-Law had some male body parts, it was very insensitive to those who actually deal with transitioning.

Lawrence laughed it off as per usual, neither of them truly understanding the issue with what Pratt said. Perhaps they should learn to be better.

Being insensitive

Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer were paired for a film where they play dysfunctional sisters. Marie Claire reported the actress saying, "It's hilarious and incredibly offensive." She mentioned that she has already come up with the posters which have used a tagline. The actress mentioned, "Minorities will be offended, and so will all white people."

She was suggested by some that she better be careful before making such irrational and insensitive comments, which can hurt the sentiments of her fans and ruin her market before the film releases. The movie aroused interest in the audience, but the heroine's comments made it blurred. This appeared like Jennifer was merely exaggerating the movie's description that sounded awful.

working methods

Jennifer Lawrence, during an interview with Vanity Fair, remarked that David O Russell is a beautiful person to work with, although we are sure some people disagree.

It looks like this director already has a track record of using his power in a bad way. Actor Amy Adams already had a bad experience working with him while shooting for American Hustle. According to radiotimes.com, George Clooney allegedly punched Director David O Russell. It looks like Jennifer should be a bit selective to people whom she can freely roam with. After all, what good is being an actress if you're getting to the top with all the wrong people.

taking things too far

She was seen skinning a squirrel in a scene from her film, Winter's Bone. When she was asked by the media to share her experience about that scene, she told the Huffington Post, "I should say it wasn't real for PETA but screw PETA." This insensible remark took her to a level where she was hated by the general. PETA was not happy with her, but they did not pursue any battle with her.

PETA instead remarked that an influential person like Jennifer should spend her time fighting for animals instead, as it's not PETA who gets the short stick, it is the animals. The organization also added that she could shed her clothes and get locked in a cage for a demonstration against cruelty to animals.

Choosing Bradley Cooper for publicity

There was a report that Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, her co-star in Silver Linings Playbook were together. When asked by the media, Bradley said that he doesn't want to settle down with Jennifer. It looks like it was a part of the Hollywood PR strategy that involved cropping stories among co-stars, which could apparently make the upcoming film a big hit.

It was however later addressed in Vanity Fair that the actress was told by her publicist to choose an actor who she would want a relationship with, and she chose Cooper. False relationships are ordinary in Hollywood, and Jennifer has a knack for falling prey to it.

Dragging Lindsay Lohan for no reason

Lindsay Lohan is an easy target for remarks and cheap jokes. Jennifer made a remark about her in a show saying, “I get like, Lindsay Lohan exhaustion." This remark, reported by eonline, made it evident that she has no respect for her co-stars. On hearing this comment, Lohan tweeted how upset she was by the comment. There was some backlash from fans, but neither woman backed down.

The Oscar-winning actress, therefore, should be more careful while speaking in public about her co-stars or somebody who is also a celebrity.

Never formally trained in acting

Jennifer Lawrence never went to any acting school. She was just sixteen when she was chosen for a role on "The Bill Engvall Show." Her mother Karen put her heart and soul to get her daughter into acting. She won an Oscar for her commendable work in the “Silver Linings Playbook.” She took part in "The Hunger Games" and in some episodes of "Medium." She was featured in Vanity Fair and Vogue, which are among the most popular fashion designer magazines. Jennifer showed commitment to her dreams and made it a point that she has all the potential for showbiz.

According to Jennifer, her acting was raw. She was suggested by one of her well-wishers, that if she went to acting classes, she would be asked to perform like anybody else. Jennifer, the talkative teenager, was a trendsetter; but her critics say that she should learn to act bette. Her ecstatic and careless comments dishearten her fans a lot.

Critical wage gap argument

In an essay to Leny Dunham, called Leny Letter newsletter, Lawrence said that she is paid less than her male counterparts. She also addresses the issue of gender pay gap in the industry in the film “American Hustle.” But she admitted that she never tried to negotiate her fees with the directors and producers. Lawrence added in the essay saying that it's tough for her to speak on her experience as a working woman, as she feels her problems are not relatable.

It looks like she can talk the talk, but she does not support any action. She is a person with a massive influence in the industry; it's evident that she can fight against discrimination, but just chooses not to.

Talking about fellow celebs

When Jennifer appeared on a talk show with Andy Cohen, she admitted that she and her friend Laura Simpson have been discussing celebrities behind their backs. She mentioned that she and her friend have nicknames for all her co-stars and fellow celebs, which is a touch immature. Her code languages like ‘raging lady,' ‘lady in red,' ‘waiting lady’ proves the fact that in spite of being at the highest point of success, she is jealous and insecure about any newcomer in the industry.

Though she is the type to speak her mind, perhaps there should be some limitations to what she is saying. Doing things like this is definitely not professional. Though she says she supports equality amongst people, apparently it does not apply to her own attitude.

the lie detector test

Daily News once reported that she was once taken to a lie detector test, where she showed her true, and slightly scary colors. When asked a question on saving 20 people by pulling a chain, she said she would rather push the people onto the track.

The Red sparrow actress was taken to a polygraph test while she was asked many questions for Vanity Fair, but even there she became very nervous. It is apparently not the first time things like this happen. Miley Cyrus has even confirmed stories about Lawrence getting a little too out of hand.

Being edgy about the wrong things

Jennifer never misses a chance of telling the public how much she loves to party. In fact, when she was interviewed by a famous journal in the USA, she talked about her affinity towards certain drinks. She even mentioned that she prefers to get a little loose before appearing on a red carpet show or any other show.

Well, Jennifer doesn’t need to tell in public how fond of partying she is. There are many different issues she can talk about, maybe her hobby or interests; but speaking about things like this sets a bad example towards her fans, especially the younger generation.

she just wants attention

Jennifer Lawrence tries to convince the public that she is just like some other girl by quoting she likes pizza and fries. But, somehow she makes the media feel that she is the most important person in Hollywood.

According to bustle.com, Lawrence reportedly skipped the red carpet twice, which was taken as a suspiciously hostile act. Although she has said more than once that it is all just an act. It was evident that she cannot stand any other celebrity co-star beside her when she faces the media. There was an incident when she grabbed Emma Watson's face just for a publicity stunt emphasizing the fact that nobody is more important than her.

Disrespecting mental health

Once in 2011 while being interviewed by Jay Leno, Jennifer was seen belittling the mental health condition of Jesse Eisenberg, which seemed quite rude and insulting. While somebody admits their mental health condition, it's a courtesy to listen and sympathize that person. But instead of being sympathetic, she just made fun of him.

But it is not the first time she does not take people's feelings into account. When she went to the Hawaii islands and rubbed her backside on a sacred rock, she didn't seem to care. She was shamed by her fans for being so disrespectful to someone's culture.

She’s rude to her fans

Jennifer admitted to teenvogue that she is sometimes disrespectful to her fans. She dislikes when somebody asks for a selfie and refuses them. When asked about the reason for being rude, Jennifer justified herself by saying that she does it for security reasons.

She said she disliked the fact that fans who are strangers, pose as if they know her while they are unknown to her. These are disturbing for a famous personality like her. Well, maybe she should remember that the only reason why anyone makes it to be so famous is because they have fans following them. She should be a little nicer.

Jennifer Lawrence is young and talented. Her performance has won her Oscar awards, and Jennifer is the lady to choose for her directors and producers. If she is a bit more careful with her comments and addresses her fans with love, we are sure she will be the most popular actress of her era.
