She was the star of Unfabulous on Nickelodeon. She was the starring villain in Scream 4. She was a star on Scream Queens. She's even had some pretty significant roles to play on American Horror Story. Anyone remember her?

That being said, who here actually spends much time thinking about her anymore? I bet you still think more about Lindsay Lohan (even if it's just about how pretty she used to be and how messed up her life is now) than you do about Emma Roberts and trust me, I know which of the two of them is far more talented.

Anyway, for those of you who know who Emma Roberts is, I'm going to tell you why it is that you've basically forgotten about her until my bringing her up now. And for those of you who don't know who she is, I'm going to tell you why you never heard of her. So, settle in and get ready to learn about someone no one cares about anymore.

Just Watching The Bachelor

For someone who might seem to want to be in the spotlight again, Roberts really seems to have a pretty boring life which really doesn't lend itself well to getting a lot of attention by the media. I mean, she has actually admitted to the media that one of her favourite things to do is just veg on the couch and watch The Bachelor.

That makes me wonder what exactly Evan Peters thinks of her if all she's interested in is some incredibly vapid tv show rather than going out and making a name for herself. Of course, when she goes out with Peters she sometimes ends up arrested. Or crying in public when the media runs with the story.

Unfabulous

Ok, I think there really can't be much to say about this entry. I mean...the show is already called Unfabulous. If the title of your show already lets us know that you're not even that good...then why should we care? Now, to be fair, Emma Roberts is not actually an "unfabulous" musician. But, that being said, she still ended up on a live-action Nickelodeon show that featured some pretty awful music and was, therefore, appropriately titled Unfabulous.

Sure, at least they tell you what to expect, but that does make a pretty good reason to not bother with the show or at least to very quickly forget about it. And I'm pretty sure most of you reading this piece right now actually have no idea what I'm talking about with this show. So...case and point.

Scream Queens Cancelled

There are a lot of people who really and truly did enjoy watching Scream Queens. And you know what? It was really not that bad a show. It's fairly ridiculous and amusing. So, it makes perfect sense for it to be a little bit over the top and a little cheesy. And it's great to have different generations of horror actors on the show.

But the show only lasted two seasons. Sure, a lot of people liked the show, but given how many new shows there are every year and how short attention spans are in people these days, it's no wonder that as soon as that show was done...so was any talk of Emma Roberts.

Have You Heard Of Paradise Hills?

I could almost leave this entry with just one simple question and I'm pretty sure I'd have easily made my point. So, here's the question. Have you ever heard about the upcoming film Paradise Hills? No? We're not surprised.

This is definitely one of the biggest reasons that Emma Roberts is just being forgotten about now. She's doing films that no one knows about, with people who won't really push her career at all. Now, it could very well be that she doesn't want to be a big celebrity, but if she wants to be able to continue affording her $4 million house, she probably should get out there and start building her name back up.

Only Thanks To Evan Peters

There is every reason why you would know who Evan Peters is if you spend any time watching American Horror Story. He is in every season playing some new character. He's pretty good (or so I hear) and he's quite the heartthrob too, apparently. Emma Roberts thought so at least, as she started dating him.

Now, I can't say whether they started dating before AHS or during or even after, but there is definitely one thing that is clear anyway. The only reason Emma Roberts is returning to AHS is because of her fairly intense relationship with Evan Peters. She doesn't have much clout on her own anymore, and Peters has an easy in with the show-runners on AHS.

Neutrogena Campaign

Alright, here's the thing...if you're already not an overwhelmingly big star because you've largely stuck to Nickelodeon shows or horror...then chances are people are only going to start knowing you from any ads that you take on. Sure, Emma Roberts has a small following, but it is by no means shockingly huge.

Taking on the Neutrogena commercial that she did probably paid very well but I can almost guarantee it made people think of her solely as that girl in the Neutrogena ad. Unless you're a fan of her previous work already, it's pretty doubtful that you're going to look at her name at the bottom of the ad and become a fan of her other work. Usually, these sorts of companies use already existing star power. And Roberts doesn't really have that right now.

Music Career...?

Did you know that Emma Roberts has a music career? Or should I say: did you know that Emma Roberts had a music career? To be fair to her, she might actually be more well-known if she did both music and acting. But she has said that she hates when people do both because they are always better at one over the other and should stick with the one they're better at.

So, maybe she just thought she was a bad musician. But she's just holding herself back as far as I can tell. And for no good reason too. It's not like she's doing a ton of acting. She has plenty of time to do both. For sure.

Hanging Out With Kristen Stewart

Alright, did you want to know a sure-fire way to make sure that no one cares about much of anything you do or say? Well, let me enlighten you. If you go out of your way to hang out with Kristen Stewart as a celebrity, you've basically pulled most of the clout you could have had right out from under yourself.

Obviously, you can be friends with whomever you like, but that doesn't mean people won't judge you for that. And because celebrities are always talked about because people don't have anything better to do with their lives...well, Roberts gets the short end of the stick. If people weren't already over Kristen Stewart, maybe that would boost Emma Roberts' profile. But that time has long since come and gone.

Related To Julia Roberts

So, there are two parts to this entry that might seem to contradict each other but bear with me. First of all, it's got to be hard enough to walk in your aunt's shoes when your aunt is Julia Roberts. There are certain expectations that are heaped on you for being related to someone like that. Everyone expects you to be the same goody-goody. But that is definitely not Emma Roberts.

Secondly...who really cares about Julia Roberts anymore? Given that, why would anyone care about someone who is related to her but is not as successful? Basically, what I'm saying is that just by being Julia Roberts' niece, Emma Roberts' career is that much harder to make successful. No shocker there though. People will either compare her to Julia, or will disregard her because she's related to Julia.

She's Just Barely Getting Any Work...

Most stars try to keep the workflow going when it comes to maintaining their star profile. But it seems to be that Emma Roberts must just not want to be in the spotlight. I think that must be the case because otherwise, she would definitely be going out of her way to make more bank, right?

Instead, she lounges about watching The Bachelor, fighting with Evan Peters, and thinking about the music career she could have had if she bothered to consider doing both acting and music at the same time. Sure, she's got relatively regular work, but it's not like you're seeing Emma Roberts' face all over the place. She's not exactly blowing people's minds out there in Hollywood. Which is too bad because she's got some skill.

Dispute With Evan Peters

Emma Roberts was arrested! Tell me it's just not true! Nope, it's true. Emma Roberts was immediately arrested after neighbours called the cops about a domestic incident at a hotel in Montreal. According to the DailyMail, The cops came in, saw that Roberts' boyfriend and American Horror Story star Evan Peters had a bloody nose, as well as claw and teeth marks all over him, and went straight for cuffing Emma Roberts.

Sure, she had some bruises too, but so far as we have learned about the incident, she was the one who started and seemingly almost finished it too. Then, once the media caught wind of it, she was out in public crying about how the world was talking about her domestic tendencies. That's what you get when you take things too far Emma.

Roberts throwing out her support for Clinton for all to see immediately brings out hatred from a lot of people. Basically, the entire Bible Belt of America will have now forced themselves to forget that they know anyone by the name of Emma Roberts.

And now that Clinton has faded into the past with you know who at the helm of the country, there is even more reason for Roberts to be forgotten. She's fading away as much as the hype of there finally being a woman serving as president in the Oval Office did. Don't get me wrong...that's pretty damn sad. It's just also the truth.

What's Up With Those Bangs?

Ok, so here's the thing...people were definitely talking about Emma Roberts after she showed up to a red carpet ceremony with these incredibly ridiculous-looking bangs. But she was soon laughed off and forgotten about again. I mean, it's not like many people want to just go and sit and chill with her. How could they look her in the eyes without laughing, especially when they would keep looking up to see those awful bangs!?

I know this seems like a pretty vapid and superficial reason to put out there as a reason that Emma Roberts has been forgotten, and if anything this actually probably put her back out in the media world for a little while, but there is only so far bizarre will take you before you have to change tactics. Just ask Lady Gaga, her star fizzled out a while ago now.

AerieREAL Controversy

This photo shoot that Emma Roberts did with American Eagle was actually, originally, meant to be a beneficial and supportive thing for women. The shoot was meant to help women accept all sorts of body types. But it backfired drastically when Emma Roberts appeared in the shoot with no makeup and no touchups in editing.

People turned on Roberts because she's naturally pretty and skinny. And because of that, she doesn't need makeup. It's kind of interesting to see that people who think the world should just accept women how they are naturally would then turn on a woman for showing herself off naturally. Hypocrites are everywhere though.

Throwing $4 Million At A House...

First and foremost, if you're able to pay for a photo shoot of you rubbing yourself down with tons of cash...you're probably going to have a lot of people start to dislike you. And they will do their best to forget about you. That's the first thing.

Secondly, considering that she has been hardly working in the past few years, it's pretty crazy to think that she can still drop $4 million on her own home. Now, it's true that other celebs like Brad Pitt or Johnny Depp (though Depp has been in hot water the past few years) have spent millions on houses and cars. But to know that someone who seems to work so little and who doesn't have a very large claim to fame can still suddenly drop $4 million on a place does sort of disconnect her from her main audience. She's not big enough to have superstar status, and she's too well-known for people not to notice her lavish spending. It makes people distance themselves.
