Whether we’d like to admit it or not, awkward photos are a part of everyday life. But things reach a different level of awkwardness when those photos involve some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. And believe us when we tell you, there are plenty of times when celebrities find themselves in awkward moments.

For most of us, our most embarrassing moments never see the light of day outside our closest circle of friends, but for the average celebrity, those clumsy occasions often live forever on social media. When that happens, there’s nothing anyone can do about it, no matter how much influence one has in Hollywood. With the majority of people armed with smartphones, the amount of documented celebrity encounters has skyrocketed in recent years, and not all of them go smoothly.

Fortunately, most celebrities handle themselves with a lot of poise in public, even when things get a little awkward. There’s a good chance most of us would die if we were caught in similar situations, let alone the fact that the entire world is watching.

Whether its soccer megastar David Beckham checking out Bella Hadid or John Travolta landing a surprise kiss on Scarlett Johansson, all of these moments put things into perspective for the average fan. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t fun to revisit from time to time.

Super Fan Gets Too Cozy With Khloe Kardashian

Super fans will be a prominent feature on this list, but this guy might take the cake. This excited fan did everything but maul Khloe Kardashian back in 2014 as the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was headed to a Miley Cyrus concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Khloe was clearly caught off guard by the man, who tried to catch a quick selfie by hugging her from behind.

Fortunately, another fan was ready to capture the moment as it happened and shared it for the rest of the world to enjoy on social media.

As a side note, Khloe was holding a $100 bill in her left hand at the time of the incident. Here’s to hoping she held onto to her money despite the encounter.

Mad Morgan Freeman

Has anyone ever seen Morgan Freeman mad in public? Well, one fan did he when snapped a selfie with the actor back in 2015. The fan also donned a serious look when he took the photo, which features an angry Freeman looking back at the camera in the background.

The hilarious photo is proof that even celebrities show their emotions on their sleeves every once in a while. That said, another fan pointed out that the pic may have been taken at a wax museum, so it is possible that it wasn’t actually Morgan Freeman in the photo.

Either way, Freeman looks like he has a score to settle with this unlucky fan, who also seems like he’s second-guessing his decision to take the selfie in the first place.

What's Wrong DeAndre?

There are a lot of NBA fans who would love nothing more than to snap a selfie with their favorite player, but DeAndre Jordan apparently is not a fan of the idea. The Los Angeles Clippers star was caught giving one enthusiastic fan a look of disgust as he snapped an on-court selfie.

We are not sure why Jordan wasn’t digging the photo op, especially considering how happy the fan looked in the pic, but he clearly was unhappy about the distraction. We can only hope that Jordan was a little friendlier to the kid in person and didn’t scare him too much. At least the fan has one memory from his time on the court, even if the NBA star wanted nothing to do with him.

Freaked Out Rihanna

It’s true that some celebrities handle fan selfies better than others, and Rihanna is not one of them. Back in the spring of 2016, one unfortunate fan snapped a selfie with the rapper, who looked genuinely freaked out by what was happening.

We’re not sure exactly what went down to get this kind of response from Rihanna, but she was definitely not thrilled about the pic. There’s a good chance that the fan sprung the photo without asking, which could explain Rihanna’s hilarious reaction.

We’ll give her the benefit of the doubt on this one, but it still made for a pretty awkward moment for the singer. And there’s no telling what the fan thought about it after he posted it on social media for all the world to see.

Ben Affleck’s Distracted Kiss

There was a time in Hollywood when Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were the hottest things on the block, ahhhh Bennifer. While their relationship ultimately fell apart, they were together long enough to share a few awkward moments in public.

In what was one of their most embarrassing photos, Affleck was caught looking up while landing a big smooch on Lopez’s lips. There is no telling what the Batman v Superman star was looking at during the kiss, but he was apparently distracted by someone or something. And that’s saying a lot given who he was kissing at the time.

For her part, Lopez looked like she was all in on the smooch, which only made Affleck look worse. Maybe this is why their romance wasn’t meant to be?

Bradley Cooper’s Public Love Spat

When you are a celebrity as famous as Bradley Cooper, you’ve got to know that the cameras are always rolling, especially when you’re at a major sporting event. Cooper apparently forgot that rule while attending Wimbledon in 2016 with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk.

The actor was visibly upset with something Shayk had done or said, and she didn’t look too happy to be tagging along. In fact, Cooper got pretty intense with Shayk at one point, and it almost looked like she was wiping away tears.

Whatever happened, Shayk refused to even look at Cooper, who was having one of his biggest meltdowns in public ever. Needless to say, things worked out for Cooper and Shayk, who are still together two years later and are parents to baby Lea.

Kate Middleton’s New Zealand Adventure

Talk about a contrast in styles. In what is probably the most awkward moment of Middleton’s royal career, the Duchess of Cambridge was caught talking to this half-naked man during a trip to New Zealand in 2014.

Rocking what amounts to a man thong and gold belt, the man wasn’t afraid to chat it up with Middleton and her husband Prince William, who looked like he was doing his best to keep his distance.

To her credit, Middleton didn’t look like she was shy to talk to the man, despite his attire. She does, however, look like she’s at a loss for words and couldn’t help but crack a smile at the man. We have no idea what they were talking about, but we doubt Middleton remembers the conservation.

Beyoncé Watching Her Own Back

Queen B is usually flawless, but during a performance in 2016, the singer was caught with her eyes closed on the stage while a large photo of her looming over herself was shown in the background. Fans were quick to pick up on the awkward image, which made it look like Beyoncé was watching her own back.

The photo immediately sparked talk on social media about how Beyoncé – who caught her husband Jay-Z in a cheating scandal – doesn’t trust anyone in her life and so she has to watch her own back.

We’re not judging Beyoncé for the photo, but it definitely looks like she’s got some trust issues to work out, especially with “Becky with the Good Hair.

Smile Gwen

It’s always great when you catch a celebrity off guard, especially if they are hamming it up in public. That’s exactly what happened when one lucky fan photobombed a picture of Gwen Stefani laughing her head off at a theme park.

The woman in the foreground looks like she thought the fan was taking a picture of her, but Stefani was obviously the target. What the made the photo even more awkward was the fact that Stefani was caught smiling so big that she was squinting her eyes.

There are so many people in the pic that it’s hard to tell what Stefani was laughing about, but we’re pretty sure this photo probably made her laugh when she saw it online.  This fan knows how to take photobombs to the next level.

Ryan Reynolds Dinner For Three

When Ryan Reynolds found out he was sitting beside Kylie Jenner and his wife Blake Lively at the Met Gala last year, he probably didn’t think things would turn out like this. While Lively and Reynolds were apparently having a good time, the same couldn’t be said of Jenner, who was looked bored out of her mind. At one point in the evening, Jenner was caught looking away from Reynolds, who was laughing at something with Lively.

The pic instantly set social media on fire, with many fans saying that Jenner looked like a moody teenager (which is partially true given she was a teenager at the time). Based on the photo, it’s hard to disagree with that assessment. Then again, maybe Reynolds’ conversation wasn’t as funny as it looked?

David Beckham Gets His Flirt On With Bella Hadid

David Beckham isn’t so great at hiding his excitement, especially when it comes to model Bella Hadid. The soccer star was caught flirting with Hadid during a Paris Saint-Germain match, and we can’t blame him. The model was rocking a sexy black jacket and bustier at the event and Beckham couldn’t take his eyes off her.

The two shook hands upon meeting, and Beckham was seen smiling big during their brief chat. We don’t know what they were talking about, but it clearly put a smile on Beckham’s face.

Later in the match, Beckham was caught stealing glimpses of Hadid, who looked like she was only interested in watching the game. Either Beckham was just really jazzed about the game, or he was smitten after meeting Hadid for the first time. Based on the photos, we’re going with the latter.

John Travolta’s Creepy Kiss

There are few things worse than receiving a kiss you never wanted, but things reach a whole new level when the kiss comes from a well-known celebrity. That’s what happened to the lovely Scarlett Johansson during the 2015 Oscars.

While posing for pictures on the red carpet, John Travolta snuck up behind Johansson and planted a kiss on her cheek. He also wrapped his right arm around the actress’s hips, which made the situation even creepier than it already was.

For her part, Johansson remained stone-faced throughout the whole ordeal, which must have been awkward and terrifying, not to mention embarrassing. Although some fans would love a kiss from Travolta, Johansson was clearly weirded out by the unsolicited advance, especially because it happened on the red carpet.

SJP Stink Eye

Talk about a look of disapproval. Sarah Jessica Parker was caught giving an incredible stink eye to a fellow celebrity in the spring of 2015. Even worse, the look appeared to be directed at fellow Hollywood A-lister Tom Hanks.

Hanks and Parker were attending a Texas Rangers game when she gave him one of the worst stink eyes on record. We don’t know why the Sex and the City star cringed at Hanks, but she was clearly not a fan of whatever he was doing. Fortunately, the cameras caught Parker in the act and fans were quick to screenshot the moment and share it on social media.

It’s unclear if Parker and Hanks have talked about what happened, but from the looks of the picture, they won’t be attending another Rangers game together.

My Eyes Are Up Here Bill

Bill Clinton may be a former President of the United States, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to a wandering eye every once in a while. Clinton was caught looking down a woman’s shirt in what has become one of his most awkward moments post-presidency.

Even worse, Clinton couldn’t help but smirk a little while sneaking a peek. Obviously, this pales in comparison to the lady trouble he found himself in while in office, and the photo even came back to haunt him years later. The photo resurfaced when his wife, Hilary Clinton, was running for President in 2016 and probably didn’t help her campaign out.

But just like in the past, we’re pretty sure Clinton found a way to get out of trouble, even if his awkward photo will live on the internet for eternity.

Jennifer Lawrence is honest, relatable, funny, and perhaps even the queen of photobombs. While Ryan Seacrest was chatting it up with Taylor Swift on the red carpet in 2014, Lawrence jumped in the camera frame with what has got to be one of the most intense looks of the year.

The actress looked like she was giving out a war cry as she picked up her dress and headed straight for Swift and Seacrest. We do not know what sparked Lawrence’s epic reaction – or where she was running to – but it quickly became one of the best moments of the award show.

We only hope that nobody got in Lawrence’s way. If they did, then they probably walked away with a few emotional scars.
