Television is one of the best things that we have in life. We all watch it, even if we're now streaming the stuff instead of using cable or satellite to see it. The world knows that television is one of the most important things we have, whether they admit it or not. Entertainment as a whole is useful to the average person because it allows us to escape from the crazy and busy world we're in. We all have our favorite show on TV, and we all have a show we dislike.

However, in all of the most popular shows in history...one thing stood out. They all had some form of a love triangle or couple on the broadcast. At times, these couples would stand out very well and become iconic to today's world. However, others never seemed to work. They will forever go down as a bad idea alongside Hermione and Ron. We know Hermione should have ended up with Harry! We're never going to back down from this!!

Television gives us some amazing moments, but how many of us can forget amazing moments where two people finally got together after what seemed to be a "never going to happen" situation? Perhaps, we also remember when couples came together as sort of a weird throw-in. Like Shawn and Angelina from Boy Meets World, some couples seem to be thrown in because of a need rather than it happening organically.

Regardless of how we all feel about a couple, we seem to all have problems with some. Meanwhile, there are some that we simply cannot ever get enough of. We're going to break down both in this list. That said, we hope you enjoy our list of 12 TV couples that made no sense, as well as 12 of the most iconic.

Made No Sense: Joey And Rachel

To be fair to the TV Show known as Friends, no one told us life was going to be this way. Yet they seemed to be caught in second gear when it came to certain things on the show. One of those things came when Joey randomly got into a relationship with Rachel. In some ways, we understood it. Both were good-looking people, and in any other show, they would totally make sense to be together. However, Joey was a lovable friend to the group while Rachel made sense for another friend. Joey and Rachel were never compatible from a personality standpoint, and it seemed to always be a means to an end.

They would end up together in a weird way, and the entire idea behind them being together seemed to come from some odd place. In context, it did make sense and if by chance they kept it going longer...it may have worked somewhat. However, no one wanted this to remain a thing from the moment it happened. It never made sense, and fans of the show were genuinely upset about the move made by the showrunners. Luckily for fans, the relationship was relatively short-lived.

Iconic Couple: Zack And Kelly

When watching Saved by the Bell, one thing sticks out more than anything else on the show. Zachary Morris must end up with Kelly Kapowski, and there is no other way this needs to go. When Zack and Kelly had problems or times they were not together, we all sort of felt weird about the entire situation. It was odd, and overall weird for us to sit through. We knew they had to be together because they fit better than most. To remove the two from couple territory would be odd, as it would sort of ruin the show. Yet at the same time, it would create perfect drama to have a break of any kind.

Yet unlike other shows, it seemed that Saved by the Bell was stronger when Zack and Kelly were together. It seems weird, but most shows need to have the drama of a break-up or "will they, won't they" in order to work in a better way. However, SBTB never truly needed this to work. Sure, it was good to have it when they did. At the same time though, we knew we could see a show with them as a couple and it just seemed to make the show better. It's a very weird mentality when usually couple drama was the best thing. However, what the writers simply had to do was write a show that could go around this. They did well with it, allowing the show to go for years.

Made No Sense: Clark And Lana

Smallville was a CW show that lasted for around a decade and followed Clark Kent on his journey through high school. Kent is sort of, well, not of this world. He's actually going to be Superman one day, but this is the story all about how his life got flipped and turned upside down. For he was a fresh young face in Smallville and had to understand his life as a growing teen who has superpowers and helping people, while also getting that history paper done before Thursday! The show was not bad, but it tried to make everything from the DC Comics universe fit within the younger, high school level environment.

This also led to a love interest for Clark that was by no means someone we assumed they would go with. They gave him Lana Lang. While the idea of putting him with Lana was not bad, considering she is a comic book character who dated Clark in his younger years...it never seemed to fit for fans. We like him with Lois Lane, not Lana. While Lana was not a terrible character, we knew from the start that they would not end up together. The universe on TV was not popular enough to drive comics to change things. On top of this, they never seemed right together from the start. It seemed quite forced. Fans never bought it, and the relationship seemed to suffer as a result of the force.

Iconic: Oliver And Felicity

The CW may not have succeeded in their romantic idea with Smallville, they heavily succeeded with Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak on Arrow. For those unaware, Felicity is certainly a comic book character. Yet she was never used to the extent that The CW decided to use her. She seemed to work from the start, however, and star of the show Stephen Amell as well as producers absolutely loved her from the start. So did fans. She is played by the lovely Emily Bett Rickards, who forced Amell and producers to see the character as a viable option to keep for a while. No one assumed a romantic situation would happen with the two, however. The thought was that Felicity would be the tech girl for Team Arrow, and that's it.

Oliver has been with the Black Canary in the comics or Laural Lance. Lance was a huge character on the show from the beginning and did have a connection to Oliver. She is played by the gorgeous Katie Cassidy and it made total sense to continue their romance on screen. Yet at the time, the show was based on The New 52 comic run in DC. In this area, Oliver and Laurel are not together. So it made sense to try a new romance on TV. Felicity and Oliver have been a great storyline to follow the entire show. They have been married, divorced, married again. They hated dated, almost been blown up, and much more. The relationship has been important for fans, and most hope they end up together. This is one of the few times comic book fans are totally cool with going away from the comics.

Made No Sense: Frank And Claire

Frank and Claire Underwood seemed to be an interesting couple from the first time we saw them on Netflix's House of Cards. They were a compelling couple for an interesting show that followed Frank Underwood as he drove up the ranks in the political world. Yet the show seemed to position them as not so much a loving couple, but a partnership. Furthermore, they seemed to write them as a business partnership rather than a loving duo who could not live without the other. It is said that the two are loosely based off of Hilary Clinton and former U.S. President Bill Clinton. When watching the show, there are clear indications that they wrote with them in mind.

They differ from the Clinton's only slightly as Frank and Claire do not seem to be exactly like them when it comes to how they operate politically. Frank is a ruthless politician, but his wife Claire seemed to always have his back....until she doesn't. There's a clear switch-up at one point when Claire starts to get going as the United States President in place of Frank. This worked out pretty well for Netflix in the end. After the major issue involving star Kevin Spacey, they were able to write him out of the show. House of Cards is set to continue in a final season with Robin Wright (Claire) in the lead. This could likely be a spot where Claire Underwood can stand out and a real romance can come into the fold soon.

Iconic: April And Andy

Parks and Recreation stands out as a terrific show. The first season had some issues, as it was a sort of spin-off of The Office, and had a lot of the same things that made The Office so special. The first season tried to almost copy the show in a Parks and Rec department. By Season 2, things changed and all the characters seemed to settle well in their proper role while others were removed as time went on to cut the fat from the show. Two that seemed to be essential to the cast were April Ludgate and Andy Dwyer. They seemed to fall for each other pretty quickly into being friends. April was the evil mastermind and smart one of the two while Andy was an idiot savant.

Both were with other people or going after other people earlier on, but soon found each other and seemed to work perfectly. While they had ups and downs, they seemed to always work best when there was a combination of the two. They both had their merits as characters, which allowed them to be fun and entertaining with other members of the cast. However, despite all the things they did with other people on the show...they worked so much better together than apart.

From the fun way they spoke to each other, to how April tried to make sure Andy did not do as many stupid things as he could have. On top of how Andy was always there for April and made sure she was happy as much as he could. Even if he had very little on him, he'd spend it on her to make her smile. It was a great relationship that will always be considered one of the best in TV history.

Made No Sense: George And Izzie

Grey's Anatomy was a pretty popular show in its time. There's a ton of popular figures who worked on the show or got their true start there. On top of this, there's a lot of popular terms from it too. Likely none of them hold up to "you're my person." While this was said between Grey and Cristina, it could hold true for Izzie's relationship with George too. He did a lot for her, and she did a lot for him. The dude even went so far as to buy her tampons at one point. Guys know how close you have to be to someone to do that. They were great friends, so it did make sense that a romance would come out of it.

To no one's shock, it would happen. They would get together and all seemed right with the world...until it wasn't. It seemed that producers and writers set the show up to where the two would flirt and get close for some time. Yet they made them best friends in the process, which hurt things when they had to make them a couple. That made the couple portion seemed forced, which was never going to work. That seemed to drive home the need for a break-up. George would not last as long as he likely could have had the Izzie romance worked. Either way, there was potential here early. It just did not seem to work when they finally pulled the trigger.

Iconic: Lucy And Ricky

There are a lot of iconic couples in the history of television, but very few stand up to the popularity of Lucky and Ricky Ricardo. They were husband and wife from the start of the series, and the show often followed Lucy as she attempted to become a star alongside her husband Ricky. She wanted to be on stage with him or by herself and often did as much as she could away from this area to be a star too. In this time period, television often had funny women on it. The idea was that in a relationship, the man had to be the stable one while they could make a joke out of the women. It was a different time, of course.

That was why Lucy would seemingly get into crazy situations while Ricky seemed to be the butt of jokes, but was always the straight player on the show to the comedic efforts of Lucy. Despite all she did to anger him on a regular basis, they always seemed to work well together. No matter how crazy she got and not no matter how often she would ruin things for him, they had this ability to have true love together. The chemistry was terrific, which was likely due to Lucy and Ricky being married to each other in real life. They were married for 20 years until Dezi Arnaz (Ricky) and Lucille Ball would file for divorce sadly.

The show only ran a few seasons and then continued to have specials for years after. The divorce was filed in 1960 interestingly during the filming of I Love Lucy. They would never do the show again after this period.

Made No Sense: Robin And Barney

How I Met Your Mother ran for 9 seasons on CBS and interestingly won 9 Primetime Emmy Awards during that time. It is one of the most iconic shows in modern history, and one of the most popular during its time. It still gets very high viewership on stream platforms, and likely will go down as one of the biggest shows in American history. The show followed a character named Ted Mosby as he would talk to his children about how he, well, met their mother. The show would be narrated by Bob Saget, who played Ted via voice for this portion of the show. Ted would end up with multiple women on the show, and supposedly go through every detail we saw on television involving his character.

Robin Scherbatsky seemed like the perfect person to end up as Ted's eventual wife and mother of his children. Yet she would end up with Barney Stinson at one point, making us all assume they would remain together for years after. The two would make no sense to anyone as the personalities seemed to differ completely. While Robin could keep up with Barney in many areas, she just did not seem to be the right person. Especially when she seemed to make more sense for Ted than anyone else. Of course, the show would end with this being the reality. However, that was almost ruined by Barney and Robin being a thing. If it would have gone any other direction than Robin and Ted, we would have been ticked!

Iconic: Carrie And Big

S*x In The City was an interesting show that followed the star of the show Carrie Bradshaw as she lived life in the big city alongside her friends. She would date many men and enjoy them sometimes a bit too much. However, one person always seemed to stand out more than most when it came to the show, Big. The character of Big would be in and out of Carrie's life throughout the series before finally being her husband later on. This relationship remained strong seemingly, and though she dated other popular guys on the show that fans enjoyed the most, Big stood out to most as the best.

There were a number of characters that would have fit well with Carrie, no doubt about it. Yet at the end of the day, the character of Big had everything that made sense for Carrie Bradshaw. While women and men who watched the show would see a lot of things that were unneeded for people they were into, this was never meant to be a relationship that made sense for all involved. Rather, it was a relationship perfect for Carrie. When people think about all the guys she was with, who ticked the most Carrie boxes? Big. Not to mention the chemistry between Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth was pretty great. Yes, other actors worked well with Parker, but Noth had something special.

Made No Sense: Jackie And Fez

That 70's Show was a terrific television show that ran for a while, and far too long to remain a 70's show, to be honest. The show was made to be a new generational version of Friends, just set in the past. We know, we were confused too. However, the formula they went for seemed to work. Like Friends, they had set couples that made sense together and a few that simply seemed horrible. One of those terrible couples that happened was the connection of Jackie and Fez. While both were interesting characters on their own, and good looking people that would likely make sense in real life...they did not for the show.

The reason for this was that Jackie was always set up to properly be with Kelso, which would be the ultimate plan by the end. Yet during the show, the plan was to split the two and then an eventual coupling of Jackie and Fez went down. It didn't make sense, fans seemed to universally hate it, and thus it did not last. Jackie would end up with Kelso. Funny enough, despite a bit of an age difference, the characters had good chemistry on and off screen. While Ashton Kutcher (Kelso) was married to Demi Moore for a while, a divorce would occur. He would then end up marrying and even having a few kids with Mila Kunis (Jackie). Yeah, we cheered for this in real life too. Get off our backs about it!

Iconic: Fran And Maxwell

MISSTA SHEEEEFFFFIIIIIEEEELD!! The Nanny was one of the better shows on television that it seemed most people could stand. The beautiful Fran Drescher was the star of the show and Nanny to the children of the widowed Maxwell Sheffield. He was rich and good-looking, something the Queens girl of Fran Fine wanted greatly. Fran was often running through a great deal of difficulty finding men. She also knew she needed a proper job. Being the Nanny to three kids seemed like an easy job, but obviously proved to be pretty tough. That is in addition to Maxwell being there, always a target for Fran to be with. The show was truly the first time we heard Fran's iconic voice that no one can get out of their head. Obviously, the voice played a critical role in the show too.

Maxwell both loved and hated it. Fran continuously tried to get Maxwell to notice her. She wore tight skirts, sometimes shorter than needed, in order to get his eyes on her. At times, she did just that. She loved him, and it was tough to force him to be in love with her. Eventually, the two would get together after a long version of "will they, won't they." The Nanny writers and producers were good about giving us so many "almost" moments throughout the series. The show did pretty well and ran about 7 years before coming to an end. Overall, Fran and Maxwell would become one of the better couples in television history as a result of the success of the show.

Made No Sense: Don And Betty

Overall, Mad Men was a tremendous show. The show's main star was Don Draper, played by the impressive Jon Hamm. The show was very successful in its time, bringing in a nice audience each week. They have a total of 16 Emmy Awards and 5 Golden Globe Awards. Hamm alone won an Emmy and 2 Golden Globes for his part in the show. While January Jones (Betty) was fantastic in the role, she did not seem to ever have the right connection to Jon Hamm (Don). We believe it was not the actors who had the problem, but the characters.

Betty was sweet and overall kind, yet treated often like garbage compared to how she should have been. Ultimately Betty and Don did not work out, despite being married for a while in the series. Don is a womanizer, who was constantly the worst possible person Betty could ever be with. This was terrible, as Betty was a beautiful woman and great mother. It seemed odd to assume that Don could become so bad as a person, yet that is exactly what he did. In the end, it cost him his wife. Yet Don seems like the kind of guy that does not care about that sort of thing. Likely from the horrific coughing and alcohol poisoning that will surely put him in the ground earlier than he'd like.

Iconic: Leonard And Penny

Big Bang Theory follows a group of friends in the world of science, which gradually began to include women in the same world. However, only one girl started out on the show. Her name? Penny. She was the neighbor to Sheldon and Leonard, who were living together somewhat oddly for a little while. While Sheldon was the star of the show, he and Penny share a very good friendship. Yet Leonard and Penny seemed to share much more. While Leonard fell for Penny early on, and who can freaking blame him? Penny took time to see Leonard for the great guy he happened to be.

While they had a lot of "will they, won't they" tension for years on the show. They're now married on the show. This has been very good to see, as now we can see how married life with the two can work out. Most shows need to do lots of break-ups or continued trouble with couples to work out. However, since Sheldon is the main star of the show, Big Bang Theory can avoid the major problem of a couple being the main focus. While Sheldon and Amy are a focus somewhat today, Leonard and Penny are not. Yet they have become a useful part of the show, clearly. The best part for the writers is that they do not have to rely on couple drama completely with them, so we don't have to always see that like we do in other shows. That has made their relationship seem to work well for a while now.

Made No Sense: House And Cuddy

FOX had a huge hit on their hands with House. The show followed the brilliant doctor known as Gregory House who worked in a division the hospital created just for him. Seriously, they put a division together that you won't see in a hospital somewhere else. He worked in diagnostics, but not quite. He would work on special cases, regarding special problems or illnesses that would interest him. He had a team, which often fluctuated. To add to the show, House had a bad knee which often required the use of a cane. That is not even mentioning his problem with painkillers, in particular, Vicodin. Despite all the shifts on the show for the team under him, one person held true.

Lisa Cuddy from the start was the one in control of the hospital on the administrative side. Though she is a licensed doctor herself, she ran things and had to be the one to clear House's insane ideas. While they would end up together throughout the show-off and on, they were never seeming to work. They were a fantasy unto themselves. Neither truly knew how to work out this relationship. They consistently had issues that just went beyond what they could handle, but at the same time they loved each other and were into each other. In the end, House fakes his passing and makes sure his friend Wilson knows about it. They go off into the sunset. No word on if Cuddy knows, but when she finds out, House is likely to go in the ground by that point.

Iconic: Uncle Jesse And Aunt Becky

When Full House started, it had the idea of a sort of sad story. Danny Tanner and his three girls lost their mother, meanwhile, they had an uncle who lost his sister. The overall story-start was somber, but the show was obviously going to be a comedic one. Yet it was more of a sitcom and not a show that was always full of chuckles. Full House ran for a long time, and we saw all the children growing up throughout the years. However, there was a big side story to everything. Uncle Jesse was a very popular figure. Played by John Stamos, the character was beloved for his looks and style. Not to mention, he could sing and play an instrument. Literally, ovaries exploded!

Jesse would date several women, but eventually, end up with a woman named Becky. She was beautiful and seemingly perfect for him. She was everything he was not, which made for a couple completion that was shown to be healthy. While they showed normal couple problems, they did not go to an extreme level with anything. They were married on the show and even had twins. While they did live with Danny and the girls, they'd also move to their own place. The couple was seen as perfect to most, and everyone seemed to love them. Sometimes people see such perfection that many wonder how they're not together off-screen. Multiple times the two were asked if they were together in real-life, but never did this come about. Both went on to marry other people and are very good friends to this day. They would reprise their role on Netflix's Fuller House.

Made No Sense: Tom And Ann

Parks and Recreation saw a lot of interesting couples form off and on through the show. Some worked very well and became iconic for television. Yet others were seemingly a bad idea from the start. One of those was Tom and Ann. While Tom was an interesting character that most people liked, he was a complete opposite to Ann. When we say complete, we seriously are not exaggerating. Ann was used to dating men somewhat similar to her, and at times she would almost turn into the guy she dated. The reason she worked well enough with Chris was that he was not someone she had to be like or turn into, but they had enough there to make something special come out of things.

Meanwhile, Tom wanted a girl like Ann because she was beautiful. Yet at the same time, he needed someone a lot different. He wanted someone materialistic like him or a willingness to do just about everything, in somewhat insane ideology. He would later find the perfect person for him, but it was never meant to be Ann. It seemed like this just sort of happened, and no one seemed to get it. They understood that there were some similarities between the two, but nothing enough to keep them together. In fact, Ann often found herself annoyed with Tom. The relationship did not last for very long, likely because even the writers and producers just could not see it going very far themselves. We thank them!

Iconic: Urkel And Laura

Family Matters was meant to be a show that followed a police officer and his family of three children. The Winslow family seemed to be the perfect African American family, who went about things in a great way. They had ups and downs, sometimes dealt with race and the issues surrounding it. They'd also talk about problems of the 90's. Yet the show was a sitcom that did not seemingly find itself remembered for these things, but rather, for one character. While not a main cast member in the first season, Steve Urkel became THE show from the second season and on.

The show randomly dropped one kid by Season 2, to make the Winslow Family a two-child home. Urkel saw more highlighted points of the show from then on. Yet he had his biggest moments with the love of his life, Laura. She mostly wanted nothing to do with him for quite some time. Seriously, she could not stand him at times. Eventually, he wore her down and after years of friendship, they were finally in a relationship. It made nerds everywhere rejoice to see one of their own get his dream girl. The couple would become tremendous together from then on. However, despite not being together the bulk of the series...they were often in scenes together and showed off a great friendship for many years.

Made No Sense: Alex And Piper

We're not ones to hate on a couple for being of the same gender, because who really cares? But we are going to write on an issue with the couple formation of two top cast members from Orange is the New Black. Netflix broke new ground with the show, and it took a great peek into the life of a convict in a women's prison. While the show was sort of a drama met with comedy, it had a lot of interesting things about it. Netflix needed this show to do well, as its success ultimately put Netflix on the same level as normal television. Two top cast members on the show at the time in Alex and Piper would become friends at the start of their relationship.

However, they would blossom into a romantic partnership. While this was not technically bad, there were a lot of problems with them being together. First, both were in prison because of issues from past relationships, right? Jumping into another was not really useful. In addition, they were in prison. Was proximity the best friend of this relationship? We think so. Think of it as High School situation. It is likely you're going to date someone who goes to your school than someone outside of it. You'll see the person all the time, and you'll know they live close. However, often these relationships don't last when you exit school. That was Alex and Piper. They were a High School type of relationship that worked because they were both in prison together, but they were never going to make sense outside of it.

Iconic: Jim And Pam

When The Office began, it seemed like the point of the show was to bring up an interesting and comedic dynamic of an office environment. It was sort of new for its time, in that it was a documentary style show with a comedic vibe meeting some drama. It had a lot in it. However, outside of Michael Scott, the main two cast members that the show flowed through were Pam and Jim. While Dwight had his moments on the show, it was often with Jim or Michael that he did his best work. Meanwhile, Pam helped out a lot whenever she could. The show was very well done, but the dynamic between Jim and Pam was likely one of the better storylines the show ever put together.

At the start of the show, Pam is with another guy. So Jim has to be just a friend to her and slowly get closer throughout the show. They would FINALLY get together after a while and even get married. They became a great couple to watch on TV and showed an interesting balance between working a 9 to 5 job, being a young couple, and even handle being young parents. It was good to see the way they handled everything and how they would still remain in love with the other despite all the crap they had to deal with. It was good to see a couple like this, especially in a comedic environment. Jim and Pam became iconic because they were able to do what few could...make marriage look fun while still showing all the horrible stuff they had to deal with both in and outside of it.

Made No Sense: Olivia And Jake

The TV show Scandal has been an interesting show that allowed for us to be introduced to some incredible new actors as well as give some who have had lighter roles finally get a spot to show off. While the idea of Scandal was to show off a lot of scandalous things, some assume it was supposed to show healthy situations. This was a clear lie to tell themselves, as the show was literally meant to show unhealthy problems, especially when it had to do with relationships. While Olivia Pope seemed okay with Fitzgerald, they only were together after a scandal involving them. They were boring together after the excitement from that wore off, because this is common in real life. So she moved on to Jake Ballard.

We do not technically hate Jake, but it's not like she is with The Pope here. Ironic, huh? Jake is a dude that your mother warned you about, and that your dad wanted to threaten every time he came by. Jake was a bad dude, and he was connected to some horrible things. Olivia tried to be good, and Jake brought her down continuously to the bad slum he was in. Olivia may not be without scandals in her life (she has some biggies), but she was nowhere near the horrible person Jake was. They made no sense and were terrible matches for the other. We get the excitement of the bad boy that women somehow find attractive but like all bad guys...Jake became a clear issue and corrupted Olivia when this never had to happen. There's very little that can be worse than this.

Iconic: Ross And Rachel

While Rachel and Joey seemed like a good match to some due to their good looks, they never had the chemistry Ross and Rachel had. Ross and Rachel were often in a "will they, won't they" situation. However, they were also together, then broken up, together, then broken up. They'd have a random hook-up here and there too. They would both date other people, which would eventually become quite a comical issue. At one point, they would go on "a break," which most took as a "break-up." Obviously, that is what that actually means to most of us. However, Rachel never let Ross live down the time that he hooked up with some girl when they were on this break. The line "WE WERE ON A BREAK!" became iconic for the show.

Overall, their relationship became a continued storyline for the show. Whether they were together or with other people, the way they worked together seemed to always be great. They may argue or have trouble with the other, but things always seemed to become interesting. Whether things were comedic or dramatic, something always seemed to work for them. They would end up together or broken up so often that was impossible to be completely happy with either one. However, they were together by the end. So it all worked out, thankfully.

Made No Sense: Cersi And Jamie (Game Of Thrones)

While it was not going to be easy to find two people worse than Jake and Olivia for the other, we did not have to look further than Game of Thrones. While this show, based on the book series of the same name, had a lot of crazy stuff....this might take the cake. Cersi and Jame Lannister were not husband and wife, nor were they even cousins. Rather, they were two people related by much more than distant family. They were brother and sister. Seriously, you read that right. No, we don't mean the step-brother or step-sister sort of relationship. We mean, the same mother and the same father. Does that seem weird to you? Good, it should!

We can all love our siblings, but it's likely very rare that we want to be WITH our sibling. Game of Thrones is a show is set in a time period far back, so it was not uncommon for family members to be together in this era. Some Kingdoms even saw sisters and brothers having relations in order to produce children of guaranteed royal blood. We get that the show was highlighting this relationship due to that. However, it is clearly pretty messed up for a brother and sister to be together. It's not like they were just having some fun in the quiet. It was known, and they had a few kids from this. There could be nothing worse than this, seriously.

Iconic: Cory And Topanga

While Cory Matthews and Shawn Hunter might be the best representation of best friends and TV history, which sometimes bordered on something a bit too close...there was another relationship in Cory's life. Some would say that this relationship was the biggest he had, and clearly stood out as one of the most iconic relationships in TV history. The show Boy Meets World was supposed to center on a middle-child and his friends and family, as they all grow together. Topanga Lawrence would take part in Season 1, but would not become a regular until the following seasons. She quickly became a romantic interest to Cory and remained his main one the entire time.

While Cory, Shawn, and Topanga were a great group of friends throughout the show...they were never meant to just remain this. Cory was always meant to have a best friend in Shawn and an eventual wife in Topanga. While not the original meaning of the show, his relationship with Topanga was one of the hallmarks of the show. While they had funny and dramatic moments, they truly showed what it was like to go through a relationship at a young age, even into the college years. They would eventually get married on the show and we would begin to see how a young marriage worked as well. Boy Meets World worked so well for people and has become an iconic show in its own right. It seemed to go so well that the two reprised their role in the Disney show Girl Meets World for three seasons, still showing their iconic ways as a couple.
