Robert Pattinson has recently been taking Hollywood by storm, and he definitely has rid himself of that Edward Cullen label. He's been acting ever since that breakout role, but he's getting harder and harder to ignore. Most recently, the actor blew us away with his dark role alongside Willem Dafoe in The Lighthouse (2019). He also played a scene-stealing French Prince in the Netflix original movie The King (2019).
However, we all know that Robert's next big role will be as the new Batman. For any of you still doubting this actor's brilliance, we've made a list of his most popular films. Or, if you simply love everything this talented heartthrob does, here's a list of flicks to binge. Here are Robert Pattinson's 10 highest-grossing movies.
10 High Life (2018) - $1.2 million
Robert Pattinson takes the leading role in this one. A father and a daughter fight for survival in deep space, where they live in isolation as the subjects of a human reproduction experiment. This adventure drama is full of mystery, space, humanity, and family.
You can bet there's a lot of things that don't go right, and this movie will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. We really can't pass up Robert Pattinson and a sci-fi flick, so you better get watching.
9 Good Time (2017) - $2 million
Connie Nikas (Robert Pattinson) is devastated when his younger brother ends up in prison after a bank robbery goes wrong. He embarks on a journey through NYC's underworld to help get his brother out of jail. The actor starred alongside Jennifer Jason Leigh and Benny Safdie and this crime drama did pretty well with the critics.
We think it's a hidden gem, and you should definitely give it a whirl if you're looking to expand your Robert horizons. It made $2 million at the box office.
8 The Lighthouse (2019) - $7 million
This movie might not be for everyone, but it's well-done. By A24 studios, this black-and-white film takes place in New England in the 1890s, following two lighthouse keepers (a grumpy veteran and a young hothead) as they are assigned to a remote island. This movie is hypnotic, hallucinatory, and will totally leave you confused and mesmerized all at once.
Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson are absolutely brilliant in this film. This dramatic thriller is intense, hilarious, and absurd. It grossed $7 million at the box office.
7 The Lost City of Z (2016) - $8.6 million
This biography drama tells the true story of British explorer, Major Percival Fawcett, who disappeared while searching for a lost city in the Amazon during the 1920s. Starring Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson, this movie also has Sienna Miller, Tom Holland, and many more to support this adventure flick.
This movie is the perfect mix of adventure, politics, family, and an innner journey.
6 Remember Me (2010) - $19 million
Robert has also starred in some romantic movies, including this one, which grossed $19 million at the box office. He plays Tyler, a troubled young man who is coping with life after his brother's suicide and parents' divorce. He meets Ally (Emilie de Ravin), who tries to live her life to the fullest after her mother's murder.
This movie is intense, heart-wrenching, and totally beautiful. We won't spoil it, but the twist at the end might just ruin you for days.
5 Water for Elephants (2011) - $58.7 million
If you like romance, there isn't a more visually stunning film than this one. Set in the 1930s, Jacob (Robert Pattinson) is a young veterinary student who takes a job with a traveling circus. However, things get complicated when he falls in love with the ringmaster's wife (Reese Witherspoon).
This movie is devastating, beautiful, and totally makes you feel like you're traveling in the circus with them all those years ago. It made $58.7 million at the box office.
4 Twilight (2008) - $194 million
It's probably not surprising that this franchise makes up the rest of the list. We're sorry, Robert, but these movies raked in a lot of dough. The original actually did the worst, which might seem a bit shocking.
Still, $194 million isn't anything to cry over. This was undoubtedly Robert's breakout role, where he plays Edward Cullen. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) moves to Forks, where she finds out that this young, mysterious man is actually an immortal vampire. Yeah, we know you secretly love it.
3 The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 & 2 (2011) - $281.3 million
We thought we'd put Part 1 and 2 together. The second part, and the very last of the franchise, was released in 2012 and actually raked in $292.3 million, which was higher than Part 1, but still not the highest of the bunch.
Edward and Bella are expecting, and their unborn child raised a lot of complications among the Wolf Pack and the people of Forks. After she's born, the vampire clans bind together to protect her. We say goodbye to our favorite vampire romance in this flick, and maybe we were a little glad. Still, clearly enough people wanted to see it.
2 The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) - $297.8 million
This is the sequel of the franchise. Edward leaves Bella after he believes she isn't safe with him, and Bella finds comfort in her werewolf friend, Jacob. This is the battle of wolves and vampires, and we know you are either Team Jacob or Team Edward.
For the purposes of this article, we're Team Edward. Or, rather, Team Robert.
1 The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) - $300.5 million
The third movie of this franchise managed to rake in the most amount of dough: $300.5 million. This seems to have been the peak of people's excitement over this series. With graduation approaching, Bella must finally decide between the Wolf Pack and the vampires, and things are definitely going to get intense. These films have action, adventure, romance, drama, and are pretty much every film genre in one. While we definitely don't consider these to be a good representation of Robert's undeniable talent, they are what made him who he is today, and we'll respect that.
Still, we promise Robert is more than Edward Cullen, and you better binge the rest of the movies on this list if you don't believe us. We're more than ready for the Robert wave, and we can't wait to see him slay as Batman.
