This film follows a married couple (who don't quite get along), as they discover a new clue to the whereabouts of a lost treasure. They head on an adventure to find it, and you can imagine this film is full of action, hilarity, and (weird) romance. This movie is actually pretty quirky, while still being quite enthralling. We definitely suggest it, and who wouldn't want to see these two on screen together again?

9 U-571 (2000) - $77.1 million

This film tells the story of a team of submariners (Americans in disguise), as they board a German submarine as they try to capture their Enigma cipher machine. This movie also stars Bill Paxton and Harvey Keitel. This action war film is intense, and full of political and personal drama. 7 Contact (1997) - $100.9 million

This sci-fi drama mystery stars Jodie Foster, who plays a scientist searching for extraterrestrial life. Finally, after years of searching, she finds conclusive proof, and must act on it immediately. This movie has tons of political, scientific, and personal drama, all added up together with sci-fi goodness and intense alien contact. Oh yeah, it also has our favorite man, so what more do you need?

6 How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) - $105.8 million

This romantic comedy is definitely one of our all-time favs, and we don't think it will ever be dethroned from that title. Our favorite on-screen couple is back, as this film stars Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. This film follows Barry, an advertising executive, who bets that he can make a woman fall in love with him in 10 days. If that wasn't intriguing enough - Andie, a "How To" writer for a magazine, is assigned to write an article on "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". Of course, these two find each other to complete their own goals, and obviously, it doesn't go as planned for either of them. This movie is hilarious and adorable, and you have to watch (or re-watch) it right now.

5 A Time to Kill (1996) - $108.7 million

This crime drama thriller follows a young lawyer (McConaughey) and his assistant as they defend a black man who was accused of murdering two white men, following the rape of his 10-year-old daughter. Sandra Bullock, Samuel L. Jackson, and Kevin Spacey star alongside McConaughey, and this drama film is a stunning and intense film about racism and the law. This film is a classic crime film, and if you haven't seen it already, you better get on it.

4 Magic Mike (2012) - $113.7 million

Just when you thought Matthew McConaughey had done it all, he blew us all away by becoming a male stripper. This movie is actually dark, dramatic, and surprisingly super interesting and deep. On top of all that, there's male strippers, so what else could we really want from a Hollywood film? This movie stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, and our main man of interest. This biography crime drama tells the story of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio) as he rises to become a wealthy stock-broker who becomes intertwined with crime and corruption. This film managed 5 Oscar nominations, and includes our main man as one of the leading actors. It also includes Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie, and we're not sure you need anything else. This movie is intense, drama-filled, and an absolute masterpiece.

2 Interstellar (2014) - $188 million

This film is an sci-fi adventure drama that follows a team who travels through a wormhole in space, in order to save humanity. Directed by Christopher Nolan, Matthew McConaughey stars alongside John Lithgow, Anne Hathaway, and Jessica Chastain. This movie is probably one of the best space/future movies we've ever seen, and even physicists have praised its ingenuity. It's even an Oscar winner, so, we definitely recommend this totally riveting and intriguing film.

Of course, animated movies tend to blow every movie ever out of the water. Who doesn't take their kids to the movies, especially one about singing animals? Matthew McConaughey is actually the leading voice in this one, voicing Buster Moon. Other famous voices in this successful family movie include Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, and Taron Egerton. Honestly, we love the more serious McConaughey films, but this movie is adorable, hilarious, and definitely worth the watch. Plus, it clearly did well at the box office.
